Man, I keep hoping that Federer finally breaks through and wins the French, but that little pest Nadal keeps getting in his way. Nadal's practically unbeatable on clay. Oh well.

    The NFL All-Time Draft.

Normally, I would try to suscribe to the "RB's are a dime a dozen" way of thinking and wait on one. But I feel like this guy is way too good to pass up. I'm gonna go with the man dubbed "The Kansas Comet". Gale Sayers 4x Pro Bowl selection (1965, 1966, 1967, 1969) 5x All-Pro selection (1965-1969) NFL 75th Anniversary All-Time Team NFL 1960s All-Decade Team 1965 UPI NFL-NFC Rookie of the Year 3x Pro Bowl MVP (1969, 1967, 1966) Chicago Bears #40 retired The total yards gained by Sayers don't do him any justice, but his per-game averages were outstanding. The man could do it all, from rushing (5.0 YPA), receiving (11.7 YPC), kick returns (30.6 YPR), and punt returns (14.5 YPR). Hell, he even threw a TD pass once. It wasn't the easiest pick, since his career was very brief, but the fact that he was the youngest player ever elected to the Hall of Fame (age 34) and was ranked #21 on The Sporting News' top 100 list of great NFL players (as well as #5 in a recent ESPN.com article on the best RB's) speaks volumes of how highly regarded he was. To get him as the 12th RB off the board is a steal IMO.

LOL...Big Brown was practically guaranteed to win the Belmont and he (it) didn't even come close. Whoever bet on Da'Tara made some serious dough today.

    NHL Mock Draft.

You'll probably be right. I follow the NHL well enough and have some hockey knowledge, but I don't know jack shit about draft prospects. I'd be surprised if 15 people signed up for this.

This is true. Some people were calling for Brandon Inge over Cabrera earlier this season. I mean, I like Inge, but come the fuck on.

    Airbag/How Am I Driving?

Out of curiosity, what's the record for least number of members logged in and visible (not counting times when the board was fucked up)? Cuz I only see 11 right now.

    All-Time NBA Roster Draft

With my last player pick, I'm gonna take... Mehmet Okur 2007 NBA All-Star Key reserve on 2004 Pistons' championship team I had other options but with Wallace/Eaton on my squad, I really needed another big who's more offensive-minded. Okur adds another dimension to my team by being able to stretch the opposing D past the 3-pt line. He also gives me a reliable FT shooter for end of game situations at 79% for his career. Considering that I have Walton (66%), Eaton (65%), and Wallace (the worst FT shooter in NBA history at about 42%), this really helps. I now have 4 guys that I can mix and match at power forward and center depending on the situation. I also liked this anecdote from the 2006-2007 season (from NBA.com) And the man to coach this cast of characters will be... Dick Motta Coached 1978 NBA champion Bullets 2-time Eastern Conference champion (1978, 1979) 9th in NBA coaching victories (935) 1971 NBA Coach of the Year (with the Bulls) 1st ever coach of the Dallas Mavericks In addition to all that, his '78 team was a main part of the reason that the phrase: "The opera ain't over 'till the fat lady sings" came about.

    The NHL all-time draft

I'm gonna finish my main line with a guy who can play center or left wing. Alex Delvecchio Now I've got a Red Wing in net, on D, and the front line.

    The NFL All-Time Draft.

Munoz was actually my backup pick if I didn't get Elway, but I was probably asking too much to hope for both. This is pretty tough cuz there's a boatload of excellent players I could take here, but I've got my QB in Elway and now I'm gonna pick this guy to "quarterback" my defense. Mike Singletary 10x Pro Bowl selection (1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992) 9x All-Pro selection (1983-1991) Super Bowl champion (XX) NFL 1980s All-Decade Team 2x AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year (1988, 1985) 3x UPI NFC Player of the Year (1988, 1985, 1984) An intense and aggressive player, as well as a very intelligent one, I'm very confident having Singletary run my defense.

    The NFL All-Time Draft.

Yep, very glad to have Elway as my QB. Some of his accomplishments include: 9x Pro Bowl selection (1986, 1987, 1989, 1991, 1993, 1994, 1996, 1997, 1998) 5x All-Pro selection (1986, 1987, 1993, 1996, 1997) NFL 1990s All-Decade Team 1987 NFL MVP 1993 UPI AFL-AFC Offensive Player of the Year 1987 UPI AFL-AFC Offensive Player of the Year Super Bowl XXXIII MVP Started in 5 Super Bowls (won 2) 2nd in career wins, 3rd in career passing yards, attempts, and completions, and 5th in career TD passes 1st in career game winning or game tying scores in the 4th quarter (47) I think Elway could've easily gone in the top 8-10, so to get him at #16 is great for me. Some of his numbers might not wow you (namely, completion percentage and QB rating), but when it came down to making a big-time play, Elway got the job done. IMO he's the 2nd best QB of all-time behind Montana. He was very adept at making 4th quarter comebacks like Montana as well. Elway was also a very good rusher, especially when you stack him up against most of the other QB's of his caliber.
