  1. Another Rock movie plus a few other familiar faces. Trailer
  2. Well to me, the Pats look like the best team at this moment. As far as waiting to see if the Pats beating the Chargers was really a big deal goes, you can say the exact same thing regarding the Colts win over the Saints (especially considering the Saints went on to get blown out by the Bucs the following week). I mean, it's not a huge deal because I'm not much of a fan of either team (I do like Brady and Moss though), but I would like to hear a more compelling argument to why the Colts should still be considered #1 (at least by the writers and T.V. analysts).
  3. Kanye and Jay-Z
  4. I'm really getting irritated by the "until they get knocked off, they're the defending champs and therefore still #1 and/or the favorite" logic. I'm not even much of a Pats fan, but they're clearly the best team right now, are they not? Most people do have the Pats over the Colts right now, but I'm just tired of this thinking in general. If you think the Colts are the best team, say they are because they're the best, not because they're merely "the defending champs."
  5. There's gonna be another ESPN town hall meeting next week: The Vick Divide
  6. THURSDAY Texas A&M at Miami FRIDAY Oklahoma at Tulsa SATURDAY Illinois at Indiana Air Force at BYU South Carolina at LSU Penn State at Michigan Maryland at Wake Forest Colorado State at Houston Kentucky at Arkansas Connecticut at Pittsburgh Iowa State at Toledo Georgia at Alabama Oregon State at Arizona State Washington at UCLA Tiebreak #1: How many total points will be scored in the South Carolina/LSU game? 53 Tiebreak #2: How many rushing yards will Arkansas' Darren McFadden have against Kentucky? 189
  7. Part of an article I recently read raised a good point. How is Colt Brennan gonna be a front-runner for the Heisman but Graham Harrell (Texas Tech) not even get mentioned? Aren't they both basically system QB's that put up ridiculous numbers? I've only seen Brennan a couple times so I can't really say what makes him so much better than previous Tech QB's (Kliff Kingsbury. Sonny Cumbie, Cody Hodges, etc...) or even a past Hawaii QB in Timmy Chang. As far as how their teams and competition compare, Harrell plays in a tougher conference (the Big 12 isn't that strong this year but I'd imagine it's still better than the WAC) and is on a team that should make a bowl (3-0 right now). I'm not saying that Harrell is a better player, but he should at least warrant a look.
  8. Tigers with yet another devastating loss...
  9. Lions note: I went to the game and I can say, without a doubt, that Jon Kitna is the heart and soul of this team. J.T. O'Sullivan had to come in for a stretch and it was rough. Say what you want about Kitna, but he put his body on the line at the end the give Detroit a chance to win. The D did a good job against Peterson(I know they basically could just stack the box but still..). I'm not sure how far they can go, but as a Lions' fan, I'm gonna enjoy any success as long as possible.
  10. Tigers still have a shot but they were that close to being within a half game of the WC.
  11. The Michigan/Penn State game is in Ann Arbor. EDIT: never mind, corrected already
  12. I'm just hoping for a good national title game (and I think it will be a good one). They've been hit or miss since the BCS started.
  13. Don't forgot about Wisky's effort against UNLV last week either. Watch Purdue win the Big Ten.
  14. Looks like it's gonna be another typical USC game...make you think it might be a tight game early, and then blow the other team out in the 2nd half. Oh well...maybe it could've been a better game if Nebraska had picked up those fumbles.
  15. Troy isn't a team to sneeze at. They've been dangerous at every level they've played. They beat a pretty ok Missouri team in 04 (60 something fumble return by an O-Lineman for a TD will forever be etched in my memory). When they were in the Southland, my alma mater played them frequently, and they were pretty powerful then on the FCS (then I-AA) level. Watching the game tonight, I'll say they've made some nice improvements to their stadium since I last was there in 2001. Actually, I think it was DeMarcus Ware that returned that fumble. I just thought OK St. was supposed to be pretty good this year and now they're 1-2.
  16. I've been hearing that Demetrius Jones is gonna transfer to Northern Illinois. I got the info from, of all places, the ESPN comments section under an article saying that Jones didn't board the team bus to Michigan. Got a link here.
  17. What the fuck is up with OK St? They're getting worked by Troy of all teams right now.
  18. God, the Tigers finally start playing better baseball but Cleveland and New York just can't lose!
  19. I was born in '87, but I still remember a shitload of 90's stuff. After 7 Jodeci
  20. I'm with Marvin; I'd rather just take the game I'm most comfortable with rather than worrying about future schedules/matchups and such. The only teams I may hold on to until later are the Colts and Pats.
  21. I only caught the last few moments. I'm hoping Detroit can pull it out, but it'll be tough even at home. Deanna Nolan's from my hometown, so it's great to see her do well; saw her play once or twice in H.S. when I was about 9.
  22. I seriously doubt that. When Shaun Rogers is on his game (and he was last week), him and Cory Redding are a top 3 DT tandem. Ernie Sims is solid playing the weakside. Where the Lions can be exploited is in the secondary, but the Vikings have a suspect passing game, so I'm not sure they can do that.
  23. For now, I'm still gonna roll with the "whoever plays the Browns" strategy.
  24. The funny thing is that Chamillionaire's CD came out on the same day I believe and it's probably better than either Kanye's or 50's.
