What's with all these players guaranteeing victory over the Browns? First Joey Porter does (didn't he also do it against the Raiders too?), now it's Randy McMichael (with Steven Jackson's backing I believe). I know the Browns are a much improved team, but they're still the Browns.

Well Florida did lose basically everyone that made a significant contribution last year (other than the coach of course). But yeah, it's still pretty amazing that they're not thought of enough to even be in the top 25. Surely, they've got some good recruits that can step in do a decent job, no?

I wish I could say that Penn St. will win, but I don't think it's gonna happen. I can't see Morelli and the offense getting the job done against a strong Ohio St. defense. Penn St. is gonna have to get some turnovers and big special teams plays to get the win.

I'll take that trade in a heartbeat. Kobe's a great defender so Detroit won't lose that aspect of their team. They'll still have guys like Maxiell and Stuckey (when he comes back from injury) on the bench.

First off, that Gwen Stefani song is "The Sweet Escape", not "The Great Escape". Second, I can usually tolerate some of these songs if it's catchy or if it works for a certain setting. Why not have the Pro Bowl the week before the Super Bowl? It doesn't have to be at the same site. Just exclude the Super Bowl participants from playing in the game (it's not like many of them would play in it anyways with the current format). There's a much better chance of getting the fans to tune in before the Super Bowl than after. Right now, why should fans care about the Pro Bowl, when the biggest game has already been played?

Surprised it wasn't mentioned, but Priest Holmes saw his first game action in 2 years. Only 4 carries for 9 yards and a loss of 6 on one reception but it's still a remarkable achievement coming back from a neck injury (especially playing RB). Oh, and apparently Ronnie Brown has a torn ACL.

Tuberville didn't help his cause by kicking short. I know he doesn't want to give up the big play, but in that situation, he should've bit the bullet and expected his coverage team to make a play. He also should've challenged the spot on that 3rd down play or called a timeout to get that challenge (however the college rules work in that situation).
