No need to bring me up here. Don't do it again.

WWE General Discussion - January 2009

Man, that guy is so goofy he's great. -
After all, when The Rock turned heel at SS 98, the next night he praised Vince about being a man and taking the People's Elbow the week before or so. Easily done if they go that route.

AWA will be staying on the weekend methinks, since my DVR has it set to record. Could always change, though.

Not in all areas. They signed a deal a while ago but nothing new has come out, as far as I know, about when HDNet will get added to Comcast in the Philadelphia area. I would expect soon, since it's a large market, but I can't find any source to where it says when it will become available.

There's no way Chris Benoit would have taken advantage of a fallen opponent and done that. I remember people saying back in 2004 when he put himself against HHH in a title match in a cage a couple weeks after Survivor Series. HHH gets "beaten down" by Batista, it's implied, then Benoit puts himself in the Cage match with Edge. People were bitching about Benoit not dragging HHH to the ring and pinning him since he was out. That would have made sense, but would you really want an amazingly loved murderer to win a title like that? Come on. CM Punk is a bitch. -
Seriously looks like Orton gets shot in the head on that last punch before he starts falling down. That is glorious.

Is that Mickey Rourke? -
He was said to be very happy and wants to go full throttle with a Shane/Orton angle culminating at SummerSlam, my mom told me.
-
Shouldn't you be watching a TNA DVD?
-
No, I won't bitch about it because I'm so used to THEM doing it. When you're TNA and trying to promote yourselves as THE ALTERNATIVE, you're not supposed to do the same shit the people you're trying to compete with put out. That's just retarded. Don't act as if I'm pulling the "it's ok for WWE to do it cuz they are kewl" card, because that's far from what I'm saying.

I'm sure JN News died a few times, at least.

Didn't Mickie screw her knee up on RAW a few weeks ago? I remember seeing a story saying she was OK, but it definitely looked like it hurt. They said the same thing with John Cena in the 2004 Royal Rumble when he got eliminated that he didn't hurt his knee, but it turns out he really did. -
I thought he died?

Scroby, TNA isn't supposed to be like WWE, and was doing a great job back in 2004-2005, but this past year or so has been brutal. It seriously is WWE lite and it has no reason to be, and that's where my frustration comes in. I don't care if any other promotion does it, it sucks no matter who does it. I can deal with WWE since I'm loyal and I probably will never stop watching, but with the potential of TNA continuing to be flushed down the drain, it gets frustrating. With a well-booked year or two, TNA could actually truly be some competition to WWE, but they are nowhere close right now.

goldengreek = pot calling the kettle black. Anyways, my original post there ruled. Seeing post after post saying "HERE COMES STEPHS HEEL TURN" etc. was getting on my nerves.
-
Orton, WrestleMania, and the Legacy are all dead now.

Didn't that happen a few weeks ago? I know I read it on this forum not too long ago. -
Just gotta say, fuck you people who think you know exactly what's gonna happen. AWW HERE COMES STEPHS HEEL TURN HAWHAWHAW just shut the fuck up. You look like fucking douches every time you do that. While ultimately it might happen, it didn't happen tonight when you all were like OMGOMGOMG HEELZ.
-
Christians rule, though.
-
If indeed Christian is revealed as the guy who is messing with Jeff, I wonder now if they're going to reveal it tonight or wait until No Way Out? I thought for sure it would be tonight, but if they wait until No Way Out, that still gives them plenty of time to hype the Jeff/Christian possible match at WM. Instead of banking on Christian showing up tonight, now I'm not so sure. Anyways, I'm going over my sister's house and me and my bro in law are splitting it for the first time since WM 23. Looking forward to it as always. I'm watching the 2008 Rumble DVD now and I noticed when Piper and Snuka were fighting, Morrison says something to CM Punk who is sitting against the ropes and Punk starts to talk back in a joyful matter and then Morrison kicks him and CM Punk is all like OH NO YOU DIDNT. Funny stuff. I see there are only 21 participants announced, so hopefully some surprises tonight? I really don't think they will be able to top John Cena from last year, ever. The only thing that would come close is Bret Hart.

2008 was awesome.
-
I know it's not unusual but I still hate that saying.
-
Nah it's free. Somehow I don't think his main point had to do with paying, but ok.

I guess four years isn't enough time to buy a $60 converter.
