Anyone else notice Flair crying as he got up from the 2nd SCM, as he told Shawn to bring on another one? It was surreal just seeing Flair knowing his time was up. Crying while getting up, crying on the mat. It just didn't matter how he lost, that will be a visual in my eyes for a long, long time.

Man, highlight of the night for me was the Flair/HBK match. Anyone notice when Flair got up after the 2nd SCM, he was crying? Like he knew the next moment in that match would be the last of his career. Not only did he tell HBK to "bring it", he was crying while doing it.

I think there are a lot of coach of the year candidates in both conferences. I can't remember a time since I've been watching where the race for the playoffs has had so many teams trying to get in and realistically having a shot.

You think Washington's coach has any shot? His name escapes me for some reason.

I think if the Flyers make the playoffs, that should cement John Stevens as coach of the year. I know that probably won't happen, and I won't be pissed if it doesn't. But damn, regardless of the inconsistency of the team, they've shown flashes of being a Cup contender. If only they can get over the Habs and Devils hump, they'd be in good shape against anyone in the East.

Sixers continue to stay hot, winning big against the Bulls. Maybe I should add the Sixers flag to my sig. Or maybe I'm superstitious enough to believe if I don't, Sixers will win the championship. I'm going to the parade in June.

I might watch Smackdown just for this part.

Leads me to believe Orton retains at WM and loses it later on. I've never been a big fan of two World Titles changing hands on the same night, let alone 3 that we might get on Sunday. Definitely loved the ending tonight, though.

While I marked for the ending, that doesn't make your WWE Champ look strong at all heading into his biggest defense ever.

When did Vince bury Macho Man on commentary? When Savage left the WWF, Vince was very cordial and thanked him for all the years he had given to the WWF. I fail to see that as a burial. EDIT: Re-reading your post, I think you meant the act of putting Savage on commentary was a burial. My mistake.

And if someone starts a TNA chant during a Hall of Fame Ceremony for another company, it shows they have no class or respect. (Regardless of the legitimacy of WWE's HOF, it's still a huge deal to all parties involved.)

I think Tenryu was in the '93 Rumble. I haven't seen it in forever, but I don't remember them "feuding" during that. I remember Perfect and Lawler were kinda feuding, so a match at WrestleMania between them would have made a lot more sense than Luger. I know Luger was Heenan's guy, but so was Lawler, and he was actually Perfect's replacement on Prime Time Wrestling. Did these two ever have a match on RAW? I'm blanking.

Weird how that was the only time we saw Lex before he debuted at the '93 Rumble. Were there ever any plans to debut him before that, or was he strictly supposed to stay with the WBF? I never watched that or cared for it, so when I rewatched Mania VIII, it got me thinking.

I definitely agree with that, but I guess how bad some of the wrestling on this show was just set off something. I've never had a problem with it before, but then when I see people (not necessarily here) say that it was so awesome back then compared to now, I just have to disagree.

And the fact that I went to KOTR '95 since it was in Philly just made me bitter for a while after seeing an event like that.

Who's to say WWE didn't want to push Orton as a top heel champion, no matter when they decided for him to lose it? Meltzer likes to speculate how and when Orton is gonna drop the title, but it doesn't mean it is 100% confirmed. He isn't getting reports from everyone working inside WWE, just a couple sources, right? I mean that's really what I would assume. One person's message could differ from the other.

I disagree about the spending equal time bitching about behind the scenes and the in-ring product. Smarks tend to bitch about the behind the scenes situations way more than the in-ring product.
