  1. from Gerweck.net: Rey Mysterio Jr. has been advised by doctors not to return the ring due to the excessive knee damage he has sustained. In terms of story line, WWE's web site put up a tidbit that he was re-injured by Umaga's vicious attack on Friday night, setting back his intended return. I never heard that Rey was recommended to not return to the ring until now. Was his knee really that messed up? He rarely ever walked with a limp on TV before he got surgery.
  2. Then almost all the posters sure do know how to imply stuff.
  3. I don't see why people hate the new match, it might even be more entertaining than the ladder match would have been. It won't be a spotfest like the ladder match would have been.
  4. By that logic, does that mean we should never speculate about anything? And aren't you yourself speculating? I get that argument a lot. Speculating about something is one thing, but when you present it as fact, it's another. And I am not speculating, I'm presenting the argument of the other side of the booking team instead of the always popular "they have no clue what they're doing."
  5. Why does that make you think they have no idea what to do with the Hardyz or MNM? Maybe they DO know what they're doing and they don't want to overuse them as much as they have already.
  6. Are you on the booking team? I don't understand why everyone that has the fucking internet thinks they know every goddamn thing that goes on in the wrestling business. D and D have went over London and Kendrick clean the last two weeks. IT MAKES SENSE for them to get a title shot at the PPV. Why they booked the ladder match in the first place, NOBODY KNOWS. Nobody should even speculate about it because they don't know shit about what goes on. Yeah, they shouldn't have advertised it unless they were 100% sure they wanted to do it. But who is to say they weren't 100% sure? Maybe they were, and something happened, and they needed to change it. We're not told every single thing that goes on in booking meetings. What's logical about having a match of that caliber on a throw away PPV? Save that for WrestleMania, because you're gonna buy it regardless. Save a great match for your biggest PPV. That's also logic for you.
  7. some of the complaints here are just idiotic. They beg for WWE to use logic, and when they do, they shit on it, because they won't get to see 4 teams almost kill themselves. Fucking morons. Also, it isn't like they changed it hours before the PPV or even during the PPV. False advertising really doesn't apply.
  8. being that I'm right outside of philly, when I used to watch the old ECW shows before, I always noticed they always changed the ropes and turnbuckles. Watching the old shows on WWE 24/7, it was brought to my attention again. How come they kept changing the rope color and turnbuckles? They started using the WCW-type turnbuckles in mid-1997, and started using black ropes i would assume around 1996? I was just wondering if anyone knew why they changed it up so much?
  9. man up? I did. You take the boards a bit too seriously.
  10. just because you don't like a PPV doesn't mean everyone else should feel the same way. So what if cabbageboy feels that way? Are you trying to "save" him or something?
  11. someone should stop trying to shit on someone's opinion. I liked Survivor Series 1998 and for all the reasons cabbageboy listed.
  12. Look at what you can get on WWEshop.com for only $20.
  13. anyways, I just got an ECW TV from 1997 compilation, and I loves it.
  14. why should anyone take you seriously when you don't know when to use the spacebar?
  15. Because everyone manages themselves one time or another?
  16. My question is that, if the double elimination wasn't planned for the 2005 finish, why did they do it? It definitely looked planned, at least to me. I figured the reason Vince stormed out and restarted it was because it would be like he is giving the fans what they wanted instead of a screwy finish, so he wanted a real finish, in a kayfabe sort of way. It looked good the way it was, but I have a hard time believing the double elimination wasn't supposed to happen.
  17. Mike Johnson is reporting that Kurt Angle suffered a concussion in his 30 minute iron man match with Samoa Joe at last night's Final Resolution PPV. Angle was said to be in alot of pain and was helped to the back by TNA employees. According to the source, Angle told people backstage that he didn't remember parts of his match. credit: Gerweck.net
  18. exactly, but it's funny because I still enjoy watching WWE. I realize all of the political bullshit behind the scenes pisses a lot of people off, but when I watch a show, I put all that to the side. I enjoy the shows because I watch it as a fan and I'm able to block out all the news I hear on the net, which makes for a much more enjoyable show. Which is why right now, CM Punk appears to not be in a bad shape, he'll just have to prove to his boss he can do it and work harder than ever. I'm sure you would want to do that for your employer as well, even if you are getting dicked over. He's got to rise above that and not do any finger pointing.
  19. seems like you all misunderstood me. I like CM Punk. I'm not a glorified smark follower of his, but I like the guy. I was, maybe not clearly, defending the guy because of how corrupt WWE is. You all bitch and moan about how stupid they are, and then it somehow surprises you that they're doing this to Punk? I'm just shocked he wasn't jobbed out as soon as he debuted. I never expected WWE to push him, and it has nothing to do with him being a potential Austin or Rock type-popular character. WWE isn't in a good way right now building up stars the fans like, and if they see that and admit it, maybe they will start listening to the fans. But as long as there is no real competition and Vince is in charge, Punk isn't going to get World Title gold.
  20. do any of you actually have common sense? if any of you thought CM Punk would make it big in WWE, you deserve to be laughed at. You deserve all the CM Punk heartbreak you're going to get. Who in their right mind would think he'd make it big in WWE? Especially with the corruptness going on there. It doesn't make WWE look stupid, it makes all of you look stupid.
  21. i'm thinking no, because I went to visit a couple months ago and they had no WWE dvd's whatsoever. Actually, they had one WrestleMania collection DVD, from like 6-10 or something, and that was it. Makes me think my WALMART doesn't carry enough WWE dvd's that I haven't seen.
  22. did anyone bother to actually visit the site and check it out? http://www.wwe-careers.com/wwe/jobboard/Se...3&Keywords= don't let your ego get in the way, though.
  23. oh, that part. I think the original way that was described, him losing to HBK three or four times, then the next night after SS 97, challenging HBK in a ladder match for his career and winning the belt only to forfeit it, would have made for some great tv.
  24. how isn't that the true story? Bret should've dropped the title and refused to. Vince didn't want him showing up in WCW with the title. In a time like that, Bret's word that he wouldn't do that meant nothing. Vince needed to get the belt off him in any way possible to ENSURE he wouldn't bring the title to WCW ala Alundra Blayze aka Madusa did. What exactly is the true story?
  25. I can't fucking believe some of you. You throw a fucking hissy fit because they hotshotted a great match onto a PPV without any prior notice. Since when should any of you give a fuck? Most of you don't like the WWE product right now anyways. They took a risk to try to make the PPV seem more special. Since when should any of us give a fuck about the marketing or advertising? We are the ones who were given that match out of nowhere. Why not just fucking appreciate it for what it was, a great match? Some of you will nitpick any fucking thing.
