The problem is you can't suspend your disbelief when they do something that makes even casual fans go "That doesn't make any sense." My girl went to the show with me and asked questions that a casual fan shouldn't. Such as "How come Jericho didn't go to the hospital if he couldn't continue the match" and "Why didn't Jeff just break up the pin?" I couldn't answer the first one. My answer to the second one was "Because he's a fucking idiot." When I as a longtime fan get asked questions that I can't logically answer, that's bad booking.

It should be noted though that Monday night's main event, while taped during Mr. Saito's title reign, was billed the entire hour as for the AWA World Title...and Zbyszko magically had the title belt for his postmatch interview. Even when they weren't running shows they couldn't keep things straight.

Zenk had already lost the TV title 2-3 weeks earlier at a TV taping to Arn Anderson. Typical WCW, taping title changes to air after a big show before the big show itself took place.

Agreed. Odds are at least half the season's game come down to the final play, and half of those have some kind of unusual finish. Hell, one finish last season led to a change in replay rules for this season.

The only good Nitro out of that lineup is the first one. The one from Cleveland might have been a candidate for worst Nitro ever had 1999-2001 never happened, and it's the second worst card in Cleveland history (that horrid episode of Thunder from 5/21/1998 being even worse).

Most of the people who buy Cena merchandise are kids and teenagers though, so turning Cena heel could be merchandising suicide unless Cena makes the world's most awesome cool heel.
