Heh, of course you did man.

That line sounds like the sea captin out of the Simpsons to me for some reason.

I'd imagine the "D'arr" had something to do with it.

And I'm pretty sure Skipper's move is a leg lever takedown, truth be told. He's the example the DVD guys use for the move description in that big-ass movelist of theirs.

The DVD's Big Book is wrong in so many ways.

There's no such thing as a leg lever takedown.

The is no takedown in the move.

And there's no such wrestling term as a lever.

So the name is wrong.

Guest Ace309

Well, if you want to get technical, a leg lever is part of a freestyle or folkstyle amateur wrestling Peterson roll.

But that's neither here nor there, and it's certainly not part of anything resembling a takedown.

::no-sells DVD's Big Book::

I've been wanting to do that for a while anyway.

Does anyone have footage of the electric chair lift into a square driver i heard tell of on page 3? It would really help me out.

I realize I'm not Dace, BUT...

I believe that the Wrist Clutch Exploder and the '98 are the same move, pretty much. Only the '98 may be more of a high-angle bump.

Anyway, Dace, do me a favour, and explain a "takedown" to me. Like, what does it take for something to qualify as a takedown? It is like, you have to bring them down without leaving the ground and without it being a suplex?

I just realized when you mentioned that that I really don't know how one would define a takedown.

Guest razazteca

notdace59 either but:

I am guessing that takedowns involves bringing down the opponet without suplex or body slam as in

drop toe hold as in Raven using the chair spot

waistlock in an amature style as in Angle vs Benoit

leg trips

armbar as in fujiwara takedowns or DDTs

just guessing here

I read about Mutoh using Cattle Mutilation in a match recently, and the great ~DEAN~ said Eddy used it on Smackdown tonight.

The question is, what the hell is Cattle Mutilation? The only guess I can have is that it's some kind of Calf Branding variation, anybody know?

Guest The Metal Maniac

Ooooooh....I know this one. I think.

Cattle Mutilation = Put on a double-chickenwing, while the opponent is either flat on the ground or just sitting, then jump over them and go into a bridge.

I think it can be done both ways, but American Dragon (Who I know does it) seems to do it mainly on a laying opponent.

Posted

Cattle Mutilation's official name is a Front Briding Double Chicken Wing.

The Inverted Cattle Mutilation is what Eddy did tonight. He locked in an Indian Death Lock and then wrenched back, and I cried, you cried, and the tears of joy for great wrestling moves were released...

Only in some music video triubte, I'll see if i can dig it out.

I STILL DON'T GET THIS. Is the Exploider '98 the Wrist Clutch Exploder? Or is it just an Exploider that is a head bump

instead of a back bump?

They are the same move. Just a Different name. Created in 98, and has the wrist crunch part of a pumphandle like move, but

not the other bits, so it's not a pumphandle.

Takedowns come from all forms of Footballs (USA) and Rugbuy (UK) tackles and forms of wresltinh (pro or amature) that take

the opp down onto the mat without suplexing them (a throw where parts of the opps body go over the attackers head) or

striking them. This includes the obvious things like single/double leg take downs, heel trips etc.

Cattle Mutilation = Put on a double-chickenwing, while the opponent is either flat on the ground or just sitting,

then jump over them and go into a bridge.

That's it, also know as the WAR sepcial.

Dace, I've heard of the Chimera suplex sequence, who does it? Also, anyone seen the Dragon bomb ? Most disgusting move ever. Basically an over the houlder setuo ti a sitout driver. Sitout Dominater head bump?

that's Psycho Dragon's psycho driver, and yes, it is possibly the most hideous move i've ever seen. I wanna know how is the crazy bastard in that video who agreed to take the bump.

Dandy, you said Eddie did an inverted mutilation from an Indian deathlock, that's not the same thing as the Mutalock, is it?

Soama Joe, it's a rolling german to tiger to dragon suplex.

Sounds like an Emerald Fruision or a Fire Thunder.

Doesnt sound like it to be, but anyway.

Psycho Driver is Torutre Rack to Piledrive. There are two ways of doing it. Get them in the

Torture rack, swing them off your shoulders to infront of you and sitout, they land on the

upper shoulders/neck like a twisted backdrop.

Then there's the Super Stiff Version, where you have the same setup, throw them sideways

off your shoulders, turn grab their hips and drive them down while a full on piledriver.

The 2001 version is a Pumphandle Piledriver.

I know an Indy worker that uses the (softer) Psycho Driver (as a big move of course)

The Dragon bomb sets up much like a thunder fire, but the victim is swung down into a head bump. It was actually used in the same match as a psycho driver, and was sicker. Definitely not an Emerald frosion.

How does that work if the opp is already over the opps. shoulder, head down.

Unless they face out, the same way as the opp, then that's an Inverse Frosion.

Is there a Powerbomb style move which is like a Throw, like instead of dropping the opponent they throw them forward?

Like a Straight Jacket Powerbomb perhaps the cross arm powerbomb or is that drop down too?

Yep, Vamperio used it in WCW, just lift them for a powerbomb, and throw them fowards to land on their back. It's inSD!3, can't remeber what it's under, as I only get to plat it sometimes at mates.

A Straight Jacket Powerbomb is a cross armed powerbomb, also know as the Prymind Driver

They are all pinning, or throw straight down.

I think my previous description was inaccurate.

Dragon bomb : set up like an Awesome bomb: opponent face up, over shoulder, held around the lower chest. Then is swung down into a very dangerous looking sitout piledriver.

Another question: Hayabusa used to use a move where it looked like he was going for a rolling kick w/ his right foot, then twists and kicks them with his left foot. What would that be called? Twisting Gamengiri?

I see what you mean know.

Canadian Backbreaker rack to piledriver.

Sounds like some sort of real martial arts kick, I'll have to see if I can find anyone that does some striking disaplines.

Yep, that's right.

Clip... I dont have one sorry. If you can get hold of Barely Legal 97, it's done in the Six Man Tag

I saw some lucha, and at the end of one fall, one of the luchas had his oponent prone. He then put his opponents' arms under and between his legs, effectively tying the opponent up into a proverbial pretzel. He then turned him over and let go, and the opponent was stuck. The ref then rang the bell declaring a submission I guess. That sequence kicks ass, I wish someone like Molly does it in the States.:) What is that mother of tie-ups called?

About the kick Hayabusa did you were talking about, I have to ask, was it a kick that was something of a rollover move in mid-air? That's a spinning roundhouse. But otherwise, tell me.

I'm a martial artist, myself. Might be able to figure it out.

Guest Special K

Yes, he was in mid-air, and he twists at the last second. He's almost parralel to the canvas.
