Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted March 28, 2003 YOU'RE ALL INSANE! This Willow love must STOP before it consumes you ALL! Lilah over Jenny (this is the toughest no doubt, I mean, they're so foxy. FOXXXY! But Lilah had more sexual energy than Jenny even though a case could be made for Jenny bein the better looker.) Willow over Fred (Yeah, shit. By default really) Faith over Buffy (Maybe I should have put something like "Season 2 Buffy" then she would have stood some sort of a chance.) Kate over Anya (No Kate love? That's just wrong.) Kennedy over Tara (I have nothing against Tara, but Kennedy is all sorts of hotness) Darla over Dru (Probably the worst match up of the bunch. I mean, Darla being in the same movie as tom arnold just ruined whatever she had going for her... But seeing Dru in the last Buffy eps. ruined her more.) Cordy over Harmony (Even Cordy now is better than Harmony then) Gwen over Glory (While Glory was my favourite big bad - next to the beast - Gwen is shockingly hot... I hate myself too for saying that.) Lilah over Willow (C'MON PEOPLE! Lilah's walk is a BAZILLION times more sexy than anything Willow has done.) Faith over Kate (Poor Kate, she was just a tomato can setting up Faith vs. Lilah - the battle of the badgirls.) Kennedy over Darla (Kennedy taking this one EASILY "And...she's....down.... Darla the mother of Connor is...down-and-out. First Round Knockout by the Lesbian.) Gwen over. Cordy (See, Old Cordy - which is not to say Cordy now, who is old - but rather Cordy back in Buffy days would have made this a challenge... But Gwen is a lil more fiesty IMO.) Whew, I'm tired from all this...typing... I'll set up the semis and discuss it in about, oh say, 15 minutes. Lilah vs. Faith Kennedy vs. Gwen
Guest Max Danger Report post Posted March 29, 2003 Winners in bold. First Round Lilah vs. Jenny Willow vs. Fred; Closest first round battle. Faith vs. Buffy Anya vs. Kate; Upset of the round, Kate's eyes were just too much to pass on. Kennedy vs. Tara Darla vs. Dru Cordy vs. Harmony Gwen vs. Glory Quarter Finals Jenny vs. Willow; Closest of the round. Faith vs. Kate Darla vs. Kennedy Gwen vs. Cordy Semi-Finals Willow vs. Faith; Closest match of the entire tournament. Gwen vs. Darla Finals Faith vs. Gwen; Faith walked away easily with the victory, as the real finals were in the semis between Faith and Willow.
Guest Mole Report post Posted March 29, 2003 I didn't even know who Kate and Lilah is. Besides, Faith was going to win no matter what, so it didn't really matter.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted March 29, 2003 You don't know who LILAH IS?!! (Kate was first season Angel)
Guest Mole Report post Posted March 29, 2003 Ohh, I should know who Kate is. Nope, I've only seen first season of Angel and a few episodes from this season. So I don't know who Lilah is.
Guest areacode212 Report post Posted March 29, 2003 (edited) Didn't you see the first Faith episode this season? Lilah was the woman whose "ghost" Wesley was speaking to, before he beheaded her corpse. I just got an e-mail from TVShowsOnDVD saying that Season 2 will be released on 8/19, earlier than we expected. EDIT: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00...5686337-0866211 Edited March 29, 2003 by areacode212
Guest Mole Report post Posted March 29, 2003 Ohohohohohoh, okay. I know who she is. And that is phat, Angel is coming out sooner!!
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted March 29, 2003 I find Lilah kind of plain (ducks fruits and various meats)
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted March 29, 2003 *throws various fruits and meats* DUDE~! Lilah dressed up like Fred when she and Wes bumped. "leave the glasses on" Lilah ROOLZ! She's a total throw back to the days when all a woman had to do was look at you with a raised eyebrow and you'd be melted butter. And her walk...MY GOD...her walk. THAT, my friends, is a WALK. Guest Mole Report post Posted April 1, 2003 Here are the next two new episodes for Angel, I'm not sure if they were posted, but I'm doing it again. Inside Out Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Two distinct portraits of parenting are revealed as Cordelia plots to protect her pregnancy and Connor finally meets his mother, Darla (Julie Benz). The gang has determined the location of the Beast's master, but Connor and Cordelia have gone into hiding to keep their evil offspring safe. The cunning mother-to-be plays on Connor's vulnerability, convincing him that their friends are out to kill their child — just as they were planning to murder Connor before he was born. To expedite the birth process before they're discovered, Cordy makes a murderous request that leads Connor to a moral crossroads — and elicits a ghostly visit from Darla Shiny, Happy People Spoiler (Highlight to Read): As Cordelia lies in a coma following her demonic delivery, the rest of the gang becomes acquainted with — and enchanted by — her unexpected offspring. But when Fred sees something the others don't (or won't), she finds herself all alone and on the run
Guest LaParkaMarka Report post Posted April 2, 2003 Round 1 Jenny over Lilah Fred over Willow Faith over Buffy Anya over Kate Kennedy over Tara Dru over Darla Cordy over Harmony Glory over Gwen (toughest pick of the round and possibly of the entire tourney) Quarterfinals Fred over Jenny (I mark for Fred. Pre-whorish Fred, though.) Faith over Anya Kennedy over Dru Glory over Cordy (Cordy would get the nod if this was, say, Season 2) Semifinals Faith over Fred Glory over Kennedy (another really tough choice) Finals Faith over Glory. (Faith and Glory sounds like a tag team) And I finally watched last week's Angel. Pretty good ep. What's up with Gunn and skinny white chicks? And I am SOOOO glad they didn't kill off Lorne. Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted April 2, 2003 Fred taking Willow is a joke. Tara, dead or alive could take out all of the SITs at once. And Glory just goes over everyone.
Guest Max Danger Report post Posted April 3, 2003 Another nice episode tonight. Nice to see Skip again. Oh and... Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Darla! Wow! Was she lookin' great tonight or what?
Guest Boromir's Smirking Revenge Report post Posted April 3, 2003 Mediocre episode - especially if compared to what we've been given over the last 9 or so eps. But it's understandable since this was a transition episode to introduce the Enchantress character. Even though I didn't like the episode much, IT MOVED THE PLOT FORWARD CONSIDERABLY. Taking notes, Joss? P.S. It's probably old news here, but: a) Charisma Carpenter had her son this week b) James Marsters will likely end up on Angel if there isn't another spinoff. I just heard about all that today
Guest Mole Report post Posted April 4, 2003 Next episode for Angel The Magic Bullet Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Jasmine's enraptured disciples flock to the hotel in hopes of gaining a private audience with her. Meanwhile, the gang intensifies the search for Fred, a mission that seems to involve all of L.A..

Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted April 8, 2003 I loved the Beast, then hated Cordy as a heel, and I'm not digging this new thing so far. Although I kinda like the idea that this bad guy has had Cordy's life set in place from the start. And I was bummed so see my boy Skip go so easily. I was without internet and couldn't do my regular Kazaaing. So I'm late.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted April 9, 2003 So I finally got around to seeing the last show which YOU Yanks got to see first...sons-a-bitches. I liked it, but couldn't get passed Skip not being Skip and more Cordy than you could shake a stick at..seriously, I tried shaking many-a-stick and she won't go away. The debut of Jasmine was AWESOME~! though with Angel falling to his knees and shit and even though they were stretching it with the explanation, it still worked. It made her look like a threat, and it would be great if she brought back the beast...yep, great indeed, GREAT. It's going to happen, wait and see, wait...and... see. The whole Darla thing I wasn't digging, but I *was* digging the story-progression. Sometimes you have to sacrifice a show for that and they did it in the painless way possible. It all can't be the beast killin people and actin all stoic and unstoppable and cool and shit... nope, no it can't...it can't...It can't...*weeps* It...Can't. *bites lip* It can't. There, I said it... *sighs*
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted April 9, 2003 So I finally got around to seeing the last show which YOU Yanks got to see first...sons-a-bitches. Easy mate. I hate to Kazaa the episodes on a 56k modem, I don't get that much of a jump on you.

Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted April 9, 2003 Oh cry me a river, you don't see much bitchin and moaning about how I had to miss a fucking weeks eps. of Angel and how my world ended because I couldn't see the debut of Jasmine and how I cried myself to sleep cursing the world and questioning god and love and life. Now, let's remember the beast.
Guest LaParkaMarka Report post Posted April 9, 2003 I finally saw the ep tonight. I don't know why we get Angel almost a week after you guys, but I blame Cordy. Hey, everyone else is, right? Anyways, Skip was pretty hilarious with the one-liners, but it was kinda weird seeing him turn heel so rapidly. Seeing Darla was pretty cool, even though she was oozing fluffy goodness. Not the best of eps, but still a good hour of tv. I was half thinking Darla was a manifestation of the First...yep, still trying to tie the stories together. But again, I'm completely and totally wrong. Go me! And, just for you Rudo: F34r my l33t paint skillz~!
Guest areacode212 Report post Posted April 9, 2003 Ha, great picture. I was wondering why the Canadian Angel fans hadn't posted anything about that episode. So you won't see Shiny Happy People until next week?? I didn't understand half of the references from "Inside Out", so much of the ep flew over my head. But, being a Darla fan, and having seen Offspring/Quickening/Lullaby, I enjoyed the mother/son meeting. The bit about Connor having a choice was interesting in light of Skip's little speech about free will vs. destiny. Also, there was kind of a parallel between this and Lullaby--Darla sacrifices herself so her innocent son will live, whereas Connor decides it's OK to sacrifice the innocent virgin in order to bring about his child. What a disappointing son he is. Given Connor's oedipal issues, maybe Darla could have convinced him had she appeared in her corset instead of that cardigan. I was one of the few fans of Cleopatra 2525, so I was glad to see Gina Torres again. All I need is for Victoria Pratt to come in for a guest shot, and we'll have seen all 3 "stars" of that show in the Whedonverse.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted April 9, 2003 Oh Sweet Jesus Motherfucker that rules. The beast reminds me A LOT of Bruton - cept the Beast didn't turn good in the end and sacrifice himself. Still, very similar. You know, we just could have watched it last week on the WB Weds...
Guest LaParkaMarka Report post Posted April 9, 2003 Psh, you can if you have WB. Here in good ol Van, you only get WB if you have the digital cable box of doom. I'm attempting to harrass my friend's with boxes to record Angel for me, but they're very very lazy people, not unlike myself. And areacode: Darla should have started stripping to get Connor's attention back from Cordy. It would have worked for me, at any rate.
The Dames 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2003 How do you guys know that her name is Jasmine? You've been SPOILERIFFIC~! haven't you? I just got back into Angel with the Faith/Willow crossover and haven't really watched since Connor was born. Just a coincidence, although I can't stand Connor. I can't believe just how dark the show has gotten. The murder of that innocent girl was just disturbing, in combination with the creepy score and slow-motion cam. Guest Mole Report post Posted April 9, 2003 I think Joss has to have someone on his show that no one seems to like, ie Dawn and Connor.
Guest LaParkaMarka Report post Posted April 9, 2003 Or he can't have a show without some sort of angsty teenager. Was there one on Firefly?
