Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted March 20, 2003 Spoiler (Highlight to Read): So you'd pick Kennedy, eh? I have a weakness for cute smart chicks, so it's Fred for me. But yeah, Kennedy is still damn hot. Ever since Fred has whored it up with both Wes and Gunn and stopped being a complete dork, her appeal has dropped significantly with me... I liked quirky Fred... Kennedy has really really really really nice eyes. And that's not a euphemism for breasts either... It's not... Seriously... I'd hit it. And how disgusting was Cordelia at the end? Ewwwwwww. I mean, they sort of did her heel turn well, in that it's really easy to dislike her for what she's doing now. I mean, I don't even think Cordy is hot anymore, unless it's Buffy Cordy has gotten so homely but never quite lost the whorey, so it just looks like she is a former-prom-queen-now-coked-up-hooker who has to look after 3 children on her own. I like the whole 'manipulating Connor' thing, but we all know this heel turn won't last... And they sacrificed the beast cause of her... They totally blew their wad there... Guest LaParkaMarka Report post Posted March 20, 2003 Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Ever since Fred has whored it up with both Wes and Gunn and stopped being a complete dork, her appeal has dropped significantly with me... I liked quirky Fred... I also like quirky Fred a lot more than whorey Fred. I just like to ignore the bad things about characters that I like. That being said, I cheered after Gunn pulled away from Fred's kiss a couple of eps ago. She doesn't deserve Gunn. Or Willow, for that matter. Kennedy has really really really really nice eyes. And that's not a euphemism for breasts either... It's not... Seriously... I'd hit it. Oh, I'd hit Kennedy in a heartbeat too. It's a tough choice. Cordy has gotten so homely but never quite lost the whorey, so it just looks like she is a former-prom-queen-now-coked-up-hooker who has to look after 3 children on her own. I like the whole 'manipulating Connor' thing, but we all know this heel turn won't last... And they sacrificed the beast cause of her... They totally blew their wad there... Not only did they sacrifice the Beast for her, they put him over Wolfram and Hart, who have been big Angel villians forever. All just to put over Cordy, who we all know has to turn face again? Destroying two uber-villians doesn't exactly leave them with anyone to fight next season. Which they might have done on purpose, since Angel airing next season isn't a certainty, IIRC. Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted March 20, 2003 Spoiler (Highlight to Read): EXACTLY! They built up Wolfram and Heart since the first episode and the beast annihilated them... Great build up for the beast - he was unstoppable - he actually had me wondering "what in gods name will AI do to beat him". Then we get Cordy making the beast her bitch and then Angelus killing him rather easily. And THEN Angelus turns back into Angel and we know Cordy will turn face again and then we're left with nothing (ok, something shows up after but I am not diggin it...stupid spoilers..) Wolfram & Hart have to come back in a BIG WAY - assuming they can now that the beast is dead - any suggestons?
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Report post Posted March 20, 2003 Niiiiiice ep! "Dude, you saved a puppy!" Willow's appearance was class, and it looks like Faith's getting back to Sunnydale earlier than I had expected. Hooyeah, master chief...now, hopefully they'll wrap up this Evil Cordy nonsense soon... Guest JMA Report post Posted March 20, 2003 I hate using wrestling terms for non-wrestling things. It's a pet-peeve of mine. Oh well, at least we get Faith back in Sunnydale. BTW, I still think Cordy is hot. If she just had her dark hair back...
Guest Steve J. Rogers Report post Posted March 20, 2003 Okay, not in a I'm dying to know way, but what happend after Faith and Angel walked back into the lobby? The feed here in the East cut off as Gunn was talking down to Connor about nearly dusting Angel. Any Willow interaction? A Willow sendoff? Did Angel hint that he might be heading that way come May? And what was the preview for next week (assuming programing is back to normal) Steve

And what was the preview for next week (assuming programing is back to normal) Steve Faith and Willow basically said their goodbyes. They are returning to Sunnydale together. After those two left, Cordy came down the lobby stairs and said how they may want to save the speech about the worst being behind them for later, as she showed them for the first time that she was pregnant. Preview for next week was quite short. Hyped up the Angel crew finding out more about Cordy.

Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted March 20, 2003 Faith had injected herself with some kind of poison (they mentioned it in the show, I forget the name). When Angelus bit her he ended up passing out -as did faith. The vampirism along with the poison created a psychic link between the two where Faith and Angelus were in Angels mind. Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted March 20, 2003 http://www.aintitcoolnews.com/display.cgi?id=14757 What does TV Guide say? Buffy the Vampire Slayer's Willow (Alyson Hannigan) heads to L.A. in hopes of working her magic to restore Angel's soul. After drinking Faith's spiked blood, Angelus (David Boreanaz) lies shackled and unconscious at the hotel. But his rest is anything but peaceful as his drug-addled mind presents him with disturbing memories – of Angel's good deeds. Also along for his strange trip is Faith (Eliza Dushku), who's clinging to life after her violent showdown with Angel's evil alter ego. As the two struggle with their flashbacks, the gang confers with Willow, who has come from Sunnydale at Fred's behest. The witch, who was able to re-ensoul Angel once before, may be their only hope. "Faith's spiked blood?" Girlfriend has some incredible precogniton! Well, she is a Slayer. After the drug begins to take effect on Angelus, we flash back a couple minutes to see Faith inject herself with a syringe from the demon bar while Angelus is distracted by Wesley and his big manly gun. The drug, by the way, is called Orpheus, and it's a supernatural opiate. Lorne's seen it in action and is gravely concerned for Faith's life.

When Angelus bit her he ended up passing out -as did faith. The vampirism along with the poison created a psychic link between the two where Faith and Angelus were in Angels mind. It was a mystic drug. Magical. That's how it created the link between Angelus and Faith. The whole plan was to have Angel bite Faith in the first place. Guest Edwin MacPhisto Report post Posted March 20, 2003 Can I just say that "Orpheus" was a great name for this episode? Father/son and all, representations of hell...thumbs up. Now that the nostalgia power of Angelus and Faith is off of Angel, I wonder if the rest of the season can hold up. I only tuned in after the Rain of Fire and have been quite pleased so far, but I'm wondering if Evil Cordy can carry the rest of the season...
Guest Mole Report post Posted March 20, 2003 I am sure that this season can carry on. I just started watching this season when Faith came back. Well, it was right after I watched Angel season 1, so I had to see what's going on now. Anyway, this episode rocked, MUCH better than last week. Everything was just clicking, but I am going to miss Angelus. In EW, David himself said that he is going to miss playing Angelus. It is such a cool character, that it could carry a show on its own. When Faith is on Buffy again, I am going to mark out like a 9 year old seeing Hogan drop a leg on Sgt. Slaughter. I can't see Buffy having a bad episode for the rest of the season. Even though Joss won't be writing each episode, his hands will be all over them to make sure they kick ass. And I am sure the same goes for Angel. Just think if Firefly was still around, each season might not be as good.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted March 20, 2003 I read the spoilers for the rest of the season... It doesn't look to promising. A week later, Fred visits John in Psychiatric hospital. He tells her that it is Angel's mission to destroy the being. Fred rushes back to the hotel, which is full of people worshipping Jasmine. Guest areacode212 Report post Posted March 20, 2003 Couldn't Bush wait an extra 5 minutes? I was yelling & giving major heat to the WB11 news team. Anyway, AICN put up a transcript of what we missed: FAITH: Well, that vice is plenty versa. I even start, it's only gonna lead to hugging and-- ANGEL: No. We can't have that. FAITH: No. [Laughs] Angel and Faith re-enter the hotel. CONNOR: All right, I get it. I messed up. FAITH: Hey, cheer up, punk. That just makes you one of us. GUNN: You headed out? FAITH: Hey, no tears, big guy. GUNN: Nah, I'm good. I just wish I could've seen you kickin' the crap outta junior here. FAITH: It was pretty funny. Both laugh. FAITH: Wes. WES: Faith. FAITH: See? Brits know how to say good-bye. Angel here wanted to hug. ANGEL: No, I didn't. FAITH: You ran a good show. GUNN (good-naturedly): Yeah, sit back and let the girl do all the heavy liftin'. WES: That's pretty much it. Willow and Fred enter the lobby from the office. FRED: I think that volume's outdated. Uh, you'd know better than me, but there's some interesting stuff about hellmouth. Might help. WILLOW: This is great. FRED: I have to say, someday I'd love to bend your ear about the pergamum codex. I -I think some of the really obscure passages are actually latin translated from a demonic tongue, and they're kind of a hoot. [Laughs] All this stuff about bacchanals and spells, and - actually I think it's probably funnier in Latin. You know how that is sometimes. [Laughs] WILLOW: I'm seeing someone. FAITH: Time goes by, Will. WILLOW: Ok. Good. Wagons west. See you guys. ANGEL: Willow. FAITH: He's gonna tell you how much he owes you. WILLOW: Oh, don't mention it. I got a slayer out of the deal, so we're even steven. (Willow hugs Angel.) I'll... tell Buffy you said hi. ANGEL: Good. Thanks. WILLOW: Oh, um, next time you guys resurrect Angelus, call me first, OK? Willow and Faith exit the building. ANGEL: Ahem. So we're back. WES: It would seem. ANGEL: Look, I know things have been, uh-- Cordy dramatically descends the lobby staircase. All look up. CORDELIA: Sorry, Angel... but if this is the speech about how the worst is behind us... [Cordelia sighs] You may wanna save it for later. Cordy bares her gigantor belly.
