The Dames 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2003 It doesn't freeze, it just takes a hell of a long time to load. The first thing you should do after you start a game is delete all of the bootleg promotions that aren't necessary, like MCW, WLW, YPW, etc. It'll help the load times. Also, in the Options section, underneath where you choose the recapper, there's an option for you to see the loading in percentages. Do NOT hit Ctr-Alt-Del. Guest Lightning Flik Report post Posted April 4, 2003 If you are having problems with load times, get the latest revamped version of EWR (still 3.0) but the latest fix brings the tag feud issue to a close, and also load times have been reduced by 70% with the latest download. (A) As noted elsewhere in the guide, if you have a lot of data and a slow machine, it can take a while for the game to load. This is particularly true when you start a new game, and for the first few days (as all the CPU feds are signing wrestlers). If you hit ctrl-alt-del during this time, or quit the game some other way, you are guaranteed to corrupt the data. To my knowledge, the game has never crashed of its own accord during the loading phase, so you are advised to simply wait for it to finish. This may take in excess of 20 minutes if you have a particularly slow machine, but as i have said before, EWR is a powerful game and needs a powerful machine to run on. If you have not exited the game incorrectly, have waited a long time, and the loading screen appears to be frozen, then there is the possibility that you have uncovered a glitch, possibly as a result of corrupting the data somehow. I should stress that i play the game a lot when programming (in order to test stuff), and i have never once had the game freeze on me. Therefore, it is more than likely that if you encounter a freeze, you have somehow corrupted the data by doing some illegal operation. If you are sure that you have followed all of the above tips correctly, then you should mail me at [email protected] and i will try to help find the glitch. That I couldn't tell you as both seem to have high charisma and a feud or match between the two would work well. My only other guess is that you have them both as faces (which they are to start with in the game) and the fans aren't buying a face vs. face matchup. If the market is in a slump, it's really really hard to get one. Try getting Regional Network, TSN, or Local Network. Those are the easiest for getting at least early evening. Try getting Regional Network, TSN, or Local Network. Those are the easiest for getting at least early evening. To add to Flik's points, make sure you're production is the same, or greater than, the network's production, and your risk level is no higher than the networks.
