Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted May 28, 2003 here's the deal... wcw co-produced the aaa when worlds collide ppv so when wwf bought the wcw catalogue, i am sure when worlds collide was probably part of the package. also, the commentary is in English (by none other than mike tenay) so no need to worry about voice over. also, good news... IF wwe ever releases an Eddy package, it might mean the appearance of the tag team classic with art barr at aaa when worlds collide.
Guest Askewniverse Report post Posted May 28, 2003 Is the commentary on the Rey vs. Psicosis match messed up for anyone else? On my copy, the commentary is noticeably louder than it should be, and it drowns out the rest of the audio, such as the crowd's reaction. I thought that the main feature was pretty good. The only thing that I didn't like about it was that they blurred Rey's face whenever he wasn't wearing a mask. I can understand blurring on TV, but there shouldn't be any blurring on a home video/DVD release.
Guest wrestlingbs Report post Posted May 28, 2003 Just got the DVD today. Much more interesting than the Hogan Still Rules DVD. Maybe because they show more of Rey outisde of the ring. The only thing I didn't like was how much they kayfabed it. Not showing Rey without the mask was kind of strange as well. Hearing Rey talk about how A-Train is such a monster wass kind of silly however, since now big Al is pretty much a low card joke. Definitly worth the 17.99 I payed for it. It was also very long and very informative. I can't wait for Ultimo Dragon on DVD.
Guest PORNFAQ Report post Posted May 28, 2003 Yeah, the DVD reminded me just how fucked WWE is in some spots. Having Rey kayfabe and jobbing to/putting over Albert in the first five minutes didn't help. For some reason it didn't make sense to me to start the feature focusing on his injury and then kinda working backwards...getting to his WWE debut somewhere in the middle. Then the job to Matt Hardy at 'Mania to end it. Still a good DVD, though.

Guest Crucifixio Jones Report post Posted May 28, 2003 The matches I've seen aren't clipped. But they sure do "CLIP" out the part of his career in WCW where he lost his mask. It WWE revisionist history (OMG~!) at its absolute finest. It's cool that Rey still has one of the original, not replica, WCW Cruiserweight tag titles. Guest tpww7 Report post Posted May 28, 2003 Only thing clipped is Rey's entrances, because they probably dont have rights to his WCW music.
Adam 0 Report post Posted May 28, 2003 Reys WCW music was cool
The Dames 0 Report post Posted May 28, 2003 They have the rights to all WCW music...but I think Rey's was stock music and therefore wasn't transferred in the sale. Dames
Guest pete Report post Posted May 28, 2003 The matches aren't clipped. They just skip the entrances. The matches that are listed under the Extras 10 total aren't clipped. They have his key WWE matches listed throughout the main disk listings and these are highlights of the matches. For example, they show clips of his Summerslam match with Angle, and the No Mercy Tag. Though a totally awesome DVD. He goes back to Tijuianna, he gets a 619 tattoo. Some really neat stuff.
