Guest DerangedHermit Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 RAW is live this tonight from San Diego, Calif., airing at 9/8 CT on TNN. Chris Jericho's Highlight Reel has only been around for a few weeks, but it's already lived up to its name. Jericho has announced that his guest this week will be none other than The Rock! What will the "Great One" have to say? Find out this tonight! Plus, Jericho ran like a scalded dog to get away from Goldberg after spraying him in the eyes and blinding him last week. Will Goldberg catch up with Jericho this week? You can bet he'll be on the hunt. Stone Cold Steve Austin and Eric Bischoff are competing to put on a fantastic Bad Blood show -- and the fans are turning out to be the true winners! We already know that we'll see the co-GMs in competition, a Hell in a Cell, an Intercontinental Title Match, a Tag Team Championship encounter, Chris Jericho vs. Goldberg and more! What else will Austin and Bischoff announce for the show? What exactly will be the competition that these two GMs engage in? There were also several unanswered questions coming out of last week's RAW. For example, why would Christopher Nowinski (a white boy) help Rodney Mack and Theodore Long? And why would Test put Stacy Keibler into harm's way? Perhaps we'll find out tonight on RAW, airing at 9/8 CT on The New TNN. Free tickets will be provided to all U.S. military personnel in uniform who come to the San Diego Sports Arena Box Office today! - It actually doesn't sound that completely horrible. And isn't it odd that there's no HHH in this preview?
Guest JHawk Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 How can anybody say it doesn't sound horrible when they haven't actually announced matches for it yet? Oh, HHH and Nash aren't mentioned. Got it!
Guest Goodear Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 Anyone want to guess that Nowinkski is with Long and Mack because he's hung like a black man? ... ... ...
Guest sean pyro Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 Anyone want to guess that Nowinkski is with Long and Mack because he's hung like a black man? ... ... ... I just hope he says: "I might be White on the outside but I'm Black inside.. oh yea word yo! I'm down with ya dud..er..brother"
rising up out of the back seat-nuh Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 There were also several unanswered questions coming out of last week's RAW. For example, why would Christopher Nowinski (a white boy) help Rodney Mack and Theodore Long? And why would Test put Stacy Keibler into harm's way? I know the answer: bad booking.
Crimson Platypus Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 He should come out and say that no intelligent, Harvard educated man would ever hold down another man based on the color of his skin, and that is why Nowinski Backs the Mack!
Guest BobbyWhioux Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 Anyone want to guess that Nowinkski is with Long and Mack because he's hung like a black man? ... ... ... I just hope he says: "I might be White on the outside but I'm Black inside.. oh yea word yo! I'm down with ya dud..er..brother" First of all, the "hung like a black man" rationale probably isn't it, if for no other reason than Vince Russo is in TNA now, not WWE. As for Sean Pyro's idea... you know, I just get a vibe from Nowinski that he could pull that off, without it being too much of a Malibu's Most Wanted / Wigro stupid cliche [that is, of course, assuming the "creative" team allowed him such an opportunity.] "I am a white boy, but I still back the Mack! Because I know what it's like to be haterized on! People are always hating on me because of the fact that I am a Harvard Graduate!"

Mecha Mummy Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 Didn't Nowinski ally with Rodney Mack at a house show once? He said something that sounded completely out of character for him... Maybe I'll go try to find it.
ChrisMWaters Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 Anyone want to guess that Nowinkski is with Long and Mack because he's hung like a black man? ... ... ... No...I don't think Nowinski is the WWE's answer to 2 Cold Scorpio.
Guest Lightning Flik Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 No...I don't think Nowinski is the WWE's answer to 2 Cold Scorpio. No he isn't, but watch the WWE turn him into it~! ...or at least try to.

No he isn't, but watch the WWE turn him into it~! ...or at least try to. ...so...he'll get the Intercontinental and World Tag Team titles at one point in his career then? (remembers 2 GOLD Scorpio)
Guest Lightning Flik Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 ...so...he'll get the Intercontinental and World Tag Team titles at one point in his career then? (remembers 2 GOLD Scorpio) But of course~! That is the WWE way, isn't it? Give the title to someone who either a) never deserved it, or b) isn't ready for it. Not sure which Nowinski classifies under though. I'm tempted to say a), but b) sounds nicer and something J.R. would say. a) it is then.

His career's only been like a little over a year, so he doesn't deserve it yet and isn't ready for it, either. Of course, that's only the IC title I'm thinking of. I could buy Nowinski as a tag team champ.
Guest Lightning Flik Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 I'd say both right now. His career's only been like a little over a year, so he doesn't deserve it yet and isn't ready for it, either. Of course, that's only the IC title I'm thinking of. King Cucaracha Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 Can't believe nobody's brought up this week's potential bait and switch...isn't Rocky off filming his movie right now? Maybe I'm wrong. But I smell a bait and switch.
ChrisMWaters Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 Can't believe nobody's brought up this week's potential bait and switch...isn't Rocky off filming his movie right now? Maybe I'm wrong. But I smell a bait and switch. We mentioned it in another thread... We think the switch is gonna be that Jericho brings out "The Rock" Don Muraco
TheFranchise Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 I dont think so... You see the number drop from when you see Jericho to when you see Muraco.
Guest Masked Heel Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 OMG it might be a ratings train reck but if Jericho brought out Don ''The Rock'' Muraco with Muraco dressed and acting like the Rock i would laugh my ass off for the whole segment plus then it would give Goldie another person to attack so Jericho doesn't look bad till the ppv
Guest nikowwf Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 Goldberg could attack Rock too.....it doesn't have to be Muraco for god sakes... niko
Gert T Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 I don't know if I could buy Goldberg beating up more than one person per night!
Guest razazteca Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 Nowinski is helping out Teddy Long because he fights the same fight as the Mack...............the fight against the establishment. What if Rocky Johnson showed up instead of Duane Johnson?
Guest Choken One Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 I am doubting we'll see a swerve here tonight... Rock will show up still in his leather outfit and still the same Heel he was...He'll put over X and make fun of Jericho but still put him over... He'll do a segment with Austin for old times sake and leave quietly...
Garth Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 I'm actually looking forward ti the Highlight reel, my 2 most beloved heels in the same place at the same time, and its a bonus if Christian gets in there as well
TheFranchise Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 Goldberg could attack Rock too.....it doesn't have to be Muraco for god sakes... niko This would show EXACTLY how stupid WWE are, Rocky was MEGA over before, put him in there with Jericho, and the crowd will LOVE it, and have Goldberg ruin it. for old times sake.. Fuck Goldberg.
Guest Choken One Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 Not if Rock is in his MEGA HEEL MODE and thus Goldberg attackin both would be fine...
ChrisMWaters Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 Not if Rock is in his MEGA HEEL MODE and thus Goldberg attackin both would be fine... The question is...will WWE ALLOW Rock to be in Mega Heel mode tonight? That's the Million Dollar Question, Regis. Edit: POST 3000! WHOO!
Guest Rob Edwards Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 I know I'm nitpicking here, but they actually used Scalded Dog in the preview! I find something about that funny for some reason
Guest BoboBrazil Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 The main is supposed to be Nash/HBK vs Flair/HHH.
