Guest ICE-MAN Report post Posted June 26, 2003 VR Troopers I use to like that show until it became repettive with Ryan and his father. But, the girl was hot Ah yes, Sarah Brown I had a crush on her back when VR Troopers were on, plus she was a on about 3 or 4 episodes of PR I also like Beetleborgs, the first season was good but I thought Metallix was better. Guest Michael Joel Benoit Report post Posted June 26, 2003 I loved, LOVED "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" from the moment it debuted back in September 1993. I was 6 when it debuted, so I was in the perfect age range and did get my share of merchandise. I got the original video game, which was alright, I dressed up as the Blue Ranger for Halloween, and I got the Ninja Zord which I had for only one day before I lost it. I had a huge crush on Kimberly (Amy Jo Johnson) just like all the boys in my first grade class. Green Ranger was an awesome villian and I liked Lord Zed and the new zords in the second season. I loved the show as much as I love Mystery Science Theater 3000 today and followed the show through the "Power Rangers In Space" season. I enjoyed the "Power Rangers Zeo" season and thought Kat was hot although I found the kid in "Power Rangers Turbo" to be annoying. I stopped watching once the "Powers Rangers Lost Galaxy" series began simply because I forgot it was on, and didn't even bother to see "Time Force", "Lightspeed Rescue", and "Wild Force". I heard those three weren't great so I don't regret not seeing them. I've seen all the rip-offs and enjoyed "V.R. Troopers"(Sarah Brown was hot), and "Superhuman Samuri Syber Squad" (I had a crush on the girl who played Lindsay). I hated "Big Bad Beatleborgs" and "Tattoo Teenage Alien Fighter From Beverly Hills" (That was just bad.) Just last November, my interest in Power Rangers was rekindled when I saw the "Power Rangers Last Episode Marathon" on ABC Family which led me to watching "Power Rangers Ninja Storm" currently. I'm actually legitmaley "Power Rangers Ninja Storm". It's better than I expected although they could do without the crappy background music and Lothor's daughters who add nothing to the show. I have no promblem with the Hamster who's the sensei and like how the show has continuity. Plus, I think the girl who plays Tori is hot. Too bad she'll only be on for one season. On the bright side, "Ninja Storm" probalby won't end till November so atleast I got 4 months left to see her. I'll most likely see "Power Rangers Dino Thunder" in February. Guest papacita Report post Posted June 27, 2003 I used to love Power Rangers back in the day. The Green/White Ranger was my favorite, and I had a crush on the black yellow Ranger (Aisha). I liked it right up until they changed to Zeo, and the season where they were Ninja Rangers was my favorite. Only thing I really hated about the show was Lord Zedd's Putty patrol. Why did they always spend so much time fighting those things when they knew that one punch in the "Z" would kill them? That used to kill me. Still I loved the show. " It's the Power Rangers, that show is full of mindless fighting even though all they have to do is call the super giant Power Zord and it could kill the bad guy BEFORE Rita or Lord Zed threw their spear into the ground that made them unstoppable. BTW, did anyone notice how the Power Rangers were always stereotypical? (The Dancing Black kid as the black ranger is a good example.

Another thing did you notice how the Power Rangers would wear their ranger color in their regular clothes. Like Tommy was the Green Ranger he was always wearing green but, then he become the White Ranger and started always wearing white. I know this happen to the other rangers when they changed colors. Guest Kingpk Report post Posted June 27, 2003 I was a fan of the original (up to the White Ranger stuff), but I waited intently for either Trini or Kimberly's (especially Kimberly) shirts to go over their heads while fighting. Curse the inventor of full bodysuits. Hey, I was in 6th grade and in the middle of puberty, alright?

Like Tommy was the Green Ranger he was always wearing green but, then he become the White Ranger and started always wearing white. I know this happen to the other rangers when they changed colors. Rangers wearing their colours is a carryover from Sentai if I'm not mistaken. And yes, there is a pattern (thanks to rangercentral.com for most of the info): MMPR S1 (probably the most stereotypical): Red: Jason (white, leader, "the athletic one") Yellow: Trini (Asian, "the exotic chick") Blue: Billy (white, "the geek who inexplicably is pretty buff") Pink: Kimberly (white, "the hot chick") Black: Zack (black, "the hip-hop guy") Green: Tommy (white, "the outsider") S2-3 R: Jason/Rocky (white / white) Y: Trini/Aisha (Asian / black) Blue: Billy (white) P: Kimberly/Kat (white / white) Black: Zack / Adam (black / Asian) White: Tommy (white, leader) Alien Rangers: R: Aurico (white) W: Delphine (white, leader) Blue: Cestro (black) Black: Corcus (white) Y: Tideus (white) Zeo: R: Tommy (white, leader) Y: Tanya (black) B: Rocky (white) P: Kat (white) Green: Adam (Asian) Gold: Trey/Jason (white, white, white / white) I should note that they made Adam and Tanya a couple during this season. Turbo: R: Tommy/TJ (white / black, leader) Y: Tanya/Ashley (black/white) Blue: Justin (white little whiny bitch) P: Kat/Cassie (white/Asian) G: Adam/Carlos (Asian/Hispanic) - Carlos was the first Hispanic Ranger, and TJ the first non-white leader in Space: R: Andros (white, leader) Y: Ashley (white) Blue: TJ (black) P: Cassie (Asian) Black: Carlos (Hispanic) Silver: Zhane (white) TJ got held down by the man and demoted. Lost Galaxy: R: Leo (white, leader) Y: Maya (white) Blue: Kai (Asian) P: Kendrix/Karone (white / white) G: Damon (black) Magna Defender: Mike (white) Lightspeed Rescue: R: Carter (white, leader) Y: Kelsey (white) Blue: Chad (Asian) P: Dana (white) G: Joel (black) Titanium: Ryan (white) Time Force: R: Wes (white) Y: Katie (black) Blue: Lucas (white) P: Jen (white, leader) G: Trip (white) Quantum: Eric (white) Wild Force: R: Cole (white, leader) Y: Taylor (white, always PMS'ed) Blue: Max (black, "kid") P: Alyssa (Filipina, honour student, good cook, etc.) Black: Danny (Hispanic, never geeves up) Lunar Wolf: Merrick (white) Ninja Storm: Red Wind: Shane (Maori(?), leader) Yellow Wind: Dustin (white) Blue Wind: Tori (white) Crimson Thunder: Hunter (white) Navy Thunder: Blale (Hispanic) Green Samurai: Cam (Asian) Anyways, I'd say that they've gotten better over time, but that's not really saying much, is it? Guest The Mighty Damaramu Report post Posted June 27, 2003 I thought Power Rangers was the biggest piece of shit to ever appear on television and pass itself off as children's entertainment. Then I saw Pokemon ... Do you just have to disagree with everything everyone says? I mean seriously in just about every topic you post in you don't appear till later on down the page. It's like you wait to find majority consensus and then go against it just to be "different, cool, and hip!" Dumbass......

I have no sites that you can buy sentai from but you could always search ebay. They always seem to have sentai dvd's.
Guest DerangedHermit Report post Posted June 27, 2003 They probably WANTED to have Jason Frank do it but he probably didn't want to travel to New Zealand to film it. Of course, he was also never a Black Ranger but I'll ignore that since it's probably a PR guy (or Jayson Blair) writing this. Still, with Disney now behind the PR machine, I'd expect that it'll be another good season, despite the crap names - and make no mistake, as much as I like Ninja Storm, it's a shitty name. Actually, Doug Sloan (one of the PR producers, I think) said that JDF just got married recently and had no interest just yet.

Guest AlwaysPissedOff Report post Posted June 27, 2003 I thought Wes was the leader of Time Force til they left him near the end and went back to the future? Also, dubbed Yu-Gi-Oh! maybe pretty bad at times, but the original rocks.
Guest starvenger Report post Posted June 27, 2003 I thought Wes was the leader of Time Force til they left him near the end and went back to the future? As I understand it, Alex was the leader but when he got injured Jen took over the team. But as the Red Ranger Wes was the guy in charge of the Zord fighting. I have no sites that you can buy sentai from but you could always search ebay. They always seem to have sentai dvd's. I haven't seen anything previous to Gaoranger (Wild Force) but the Ninja Storm equivalent and Aburanger (Dino Thunder) seem to be in abundance. I recommend Gaoranger vs Super Sentai - it's kinda confusing, but pretty cool. The "milk tornado" move is also fucking hilarious...
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Report post Posted June 27, 2003 I just want to see Zyuranger to see the difference. Plus the fights between DaoTaros(i think), he was Cyclopsis in the American version and the Rangers was badass. Oh and didn't Jason come back? I remember him coming back.....but why? Guest DerangedHermit Report post Posted June 27, 2003 Oh and who else always wanted to see Lord Zed fight!? He looked like he could kick some major ass. It was awesome during MMPR season 3 (w/ the Ninjazords, Shogunzords, Ninjor, Alien Rangers, Kim leaves (I liked Catherine Sutherland slightly better, Aussie chicks rule)) when Tommy fought Lord Zedd one on one. Tommy temporarily broke Zedd's staff.

I remember the ep where they were turned to kids and had to find their respective Zeo crystals where their ancestors were or some shit like that. Rocky's was in Mexico. Guest DerangedHermit Report post Posted June 27, 2003 Man I don't remember them fighting. Was Zed any good? It was short, but Zedd was decent. Zedd was defeated (and turned into a normal human along w/ Rita, Astronema and Divatox) in the finale of Power Rangers in Space (Countdown to Destruction Part II). Here's their human form (played by their actor/actress minus costume and/or heavy makeup): Zedd turned good Rita Repulsa turned good (she's a hottie...W00T!) Power Rangers Turbo's villain Divatox turned good Power Rangers in Space's villain Astronema turned good (a.k.a. Karone, but anybody watching that far already knows the story) All their henchmen and other existing villains (i.e. Goldar, Finster, Rito Revolto, Master Vile, Machine Empire, etc.) were turned to dust or assumed to turned to dust by the energy wave caused by Zordon's death/
Guest EdwardKnoxII Report post Posted June 27, 2003 Did anybody read this week's Wrestlecrap mailbag. In it a reader had a letter talking about how Matt Hardy looked alot like Tommy and then showed pics of them. Maybe if Mattitude doesn't workout Matt Hardy can call on the power of the Power Ragners. Guest Boo_Bradley Report post Posted June 28, 2003 This thread reminded me of how much I used to love the Power Rangers. I don't think the show started to suck until Ninjor showed up. In 6th grade I decided to watch the show for the first time in about three years, but immediately quit once I saw the Rangers stuck in a giant pizza in an oven. I haven't seen anything about the Power Rangers since. I vaguely remember Ninjor, wasn't he a friend of the Rangers....I seem to remember him coiming out of a cave... I'm a tad surprised by the lack of Bulk and Skull comments
