Although Smackdown currently has a high amount of faces and a low amount of heels, all that can change easily by the time Edge comes back into the active fold. So with that in mind, I think it would be best to leave this as a 'what is Edge best at' question. And personally, I find Edge to an entirely likable character when he's allowed to sort of do himself and not put into the role of gothic guy or annoying Tiger Beat man. As such, a face he should stay.

Edge has facial hair? Anyway, I don't see a bit of fuzz getting in the way of the look of the character but I wouldn't go so all out to give him a full fuzzy face since it would make him look older... which just wouldn't appeal to his proper demographic of the younger set.

Uhmmm, sure although I think Edge should be groomed for bigger things, I don't think a shot at the US title is a bad idea as he would add a good degree of competition for the title.

 

4.) Who would you like to see Edge fued with when he returns?

 

In the months that it would take for Edge to get back, who knows what will be the shape of the roster. But I would be interested in feuds with The Rock,

Kurt Angle and Matt Hardy.

Nope, Edge is far beyond being a steady tag team partner for Christian at this point. Going backward is a mistake virtually everytime someone tries to do it. Plus, I don't think either guy fits with the other anymore as Edge has become a modern day Sting while Christian is purely HonkyTonkMan at this point.

Nah, he looks fine and is over with the look. It's one thing if you're going for a repush or reinvention, but Edge is fine the way he is.

Either is fine since there aren't seventeen people using a variation of the DDT as a finisher anymore.

Rob Zombie is better for his high energy face persona, he's just not the brooding mystery guy anymore. Although a change to his actual entrance would be nice since it seems a little vanilla compared to other guys on the roster.

 

10.) Would you mind if Edge wrestled in pink? [its been said he's been thinking about doing it since (I'm not if he's never wrestled in the color) his buddy, Rey Mysterio, did it back in October]

 

Edge does fine in pastel colors as far as I'm concerned and doesn't have a tough guy aura that would be hurt by the occasional pink. It's more important to keep him away from Black and White at the moment.

Face. Unless he goes back to his E&C character (which he shouldn't), he's a better face than heel.

Nah, I hope he goes straight to main events. If the US title actually means something, it wouldn't hurt. BUt if it's just a meaningless mid-card title, then no.

A feud with Angle or Benoit would be a great way to kick off his return.

They were great together, but no. Both are past that.

1) Heel. Smackdown needs heels, and Edge can be a cool heel. Plus that way there's more opportunities for him. Heel Benoit and heel Edge as a team? I'm there. Plus it means Edge/Rhyno, Edge/Lesnar, Edge/Angle and Edge/Rey.

 

2) Meh. I'm not an expert on facial hair funnily enough. But if he's heel, a beard'll mkae him look more heelish. Yes, I have no real answer.

 

3) Depends who the champ is, and on question 1. But if he comes back, he's going to be top line either way, so no.

 

4) Angle and Lesnar, as heel team with Benoit under Paul Heyman.

 

5) Always.

 

6) Christian to SD, where heels are needed.

 

7) Does it matter, he'll probably have to soon anyway. Yeah, he should if he's a heel.

 

8) Downward Spiral's used by Steiner, and his looks more effective. Edgecution is better.

 

9) Rob Zombie pops the crowd.

1. I think it is much more difficult to make a heel out of Edge at this point and that the "natural flow" of his personality and fan temperment goes towards face both when he returns and afterwards.

 

2. Whichever is LESS common among the smackdown! roster at that point (if everyone's shaven, a beard stands out; if everyone has a beard, go clean)

 

3. Probably not. The U.S. Title is "new" at this point; and it would probably do him more harm than good to fight over it (and would probably have a similar effect on the belt, too)

 

4. Who "injured" him? I can't remember. Go after them first. Especially since he's coming back face (or at least he should be).

 

5. No, because I prefer Christian as a heel and Edge as a face. However, if they wanted to make Edge back into a heel, realigning with Christian would probably help out in that regard; help him evolve back into the heel persona he had (when Edge and Christian were the cocky heels, mid 2000 wasn't it?)

 

6. Christian to Smackdown. A) Edge's feuds are on Smackdown! B) If Christian continues with the "new people's champion" schtick, he ought to be on "The Rock's Show" (and maybe call it Christian's show). C.) Protect Edge from "Spear vs Spear" nonsense that would doom him to being fed to Goldberg.

 

7. Hells no. Short hair is too prevalent in WWE, just like black trunks & ring boots. The hair is part of how Edge stands out from the crowd and differentiates himself and thus permits the fans to recognize him more readily.

 

8. I don't think either move has a particular advantage over the other (in terms of overness potential) so either move is fine by me. Actually, wouldn't it be best to have both? [Cole: "Edge is so dangerous inside that ring, he can put you away a million different ways!" Tazz: "You got that right, Cole. (Wrestler X) Can't know what to prepare for. That's a big advantage for Edge."]

 

9. Given those two choices? "You Think You Know Me." A new theme might be in order, too.

 

10. Only Bret Hart has ever worn pink in the ring and made it work (and even then he had black to contrast with it; pink doesn't work good at all by itself). I'd advise against it.
