TV Matches You Don't Have

Recommended Posts

Guest The ChriZa

I'd go with Bret Hart VS 1-2-3 Kid back in 94 or so, on Raw. Before Waltman became more hated than Hitler.

And Kurt Angle/Big Show VS Edge/Christian, 2000. Not a Wight fan, but the chemistry with Show goofing off in the kilt, and Angle finally snapping, was priceless. God damn my VCR for not knowing when the good matches are.

Incidentally, I'm new here. Is there a penalty for starting really dumb threads that no one likes?

definately Flair vs. Hennig Raw 92.....

That was 25/1/93 and is definately one of my top 10 WWF matches.

I'd have to say Owen/DBS from the Euro tournie final, the only TV match that I don't have, that I want. I did see it originally but you know, '97, markdom was runnin' wild.

I would have to say the HBK/Austin vs Owen/Bulldog Tag Title match. I taped it but mistakingly taped over it with RAW the next week with HBK/Austin vs LOD.

My picks are fairly recent. Austin and Benoit right after the tag match where HHH was injured. I believe there was two singles matchs, both I remember being good with the one with the screw job ending being the better of the two.

The Ric Flair vs Barry Windham match that was shown on WorldWide that took up the whole hour show.

I'm lucky to have Bret/123 Kid, Flair/Hennig and Owen&Bulldog/Austin&HBK.

VERY lucky.

I haven't seen Bret/1-2-3 since it happened. Is it still as good as I remember, or was I just a retarded 13 year old mark?

I think you're all talking about tapes, however...

Bret/123 Kid

Owen/Bulldog Euro Title

HBK/Austin vs Owen/Bulldog

Can all be downloaded from Kazaa. Just thought I'd pass that info along...

Yah it's just as good as you remember and better. I recently watched it and was still awed by it. GREAT match.

Also add Bret/Owen form late 96(after Bret came back) on Raw to the list.

Mostly, the whole (almost) 97 Hart vs WWF.

All that year I saw USA down here but when I saw WWF promos, I still remember Hulk and all that Rock n Wrestling thing and I was totally against that... later I knew that the WWF change, and then one day i look at Raw, WOW! What a great show. Sadly, I join to the WWF in late 97, post Summerslam and I missed almost all the 97 Hart Foundation VS WWF.

Add the Flair - Steamboat from 1989 and 1994.

The only one I can think of is the July 1993 HBK-Jannetty IC Title Match. Pretty much a concensus MOTY and I've only seen it on the initial airing.

I think I have that Flair-Windham match someplace.

I wouldn't mind having a copy of the 10 Man Tag from Early 2000... The crowd heat for that match was absolutely nuclear, rarely heard a reaction for a segment of TV that loud (Barring Jericho's Debut)

Angle/Booker T where Angle wins the WCW...as well as the Angle/Austin match where Triple H makes his return are both on the WWF Action DVD.

I need to find me a copy of the Action DVD.

I don't have:

10 Man Tag Match in Dallas.

Benoit/Austin from SD in Edmonton. (I've got their match from Calgary on Raw which I enjoy much more, though.)

Benoit/Angle in a cage on Raw in May 2001.

TLC 3.

My tape ran out during Angle's entrance against Austin (HHH's return).

The Perfect/Flair Career match

Shawn/Bulldog from the last SNME...hell, the whole show, just to get to see the "Ultimate Maniacs" again...:sigh: I miss being a mark.

Shawn/Marty from 5/17/93 Raw.

That's about all I can think of right now.

Big list, so here goes:

WCW:

Jushin Liger/Brian Pillman vs. Chris Benoit/Beef Wellington-Clash somethin in 91 or 92. Famous for Benoit taking an insane second rope backdrop driver and Benoit and Pillman chopping the flesh off each other. Oh, and that Liger, feller, too.

Dustin Rhodes/barry Windham vs. Steve Williams/Terry Gordy-WCWSN July 92-Longish 40 min match for the belts. Really great southern work from the MVC.

Jushin Liger vs. Brian Pillman from NJ from the first WCWSN-This match was clipped heavily, but I remember this match being as good or better than the famed SuperBrawl II classic.

Great Muta vs. Brad Armstrong-WCWSN sometime in 92-The enigma about this match is that it was about 10 minutes long in its entirety and it was planned only about 10 minutes before it aired, and it was at least ****.

Flair vs. Sting-WCWSN in 93 for the NWA Title-Last time the NWA title was ever defended on TV until the Nitro era.

Cactus Jack vs. Vader-WCWSN in August 93-"The Potato Match"-Noted for the absolutely brutal potato shots Jack took against the Masatadon, and there is an uncut version out there somewhere that sees that entirety. The match was shown later on WCW TV, but the shots were edited out.

Flair vs. Steamboat-WCWSN in 94-Before Spring Stampede. Of course it rules. Why wouldn't it?

Malenko vs. Guerrero-WCWSN in 95-This was during that series when Guerrero, Malenko, and Benoit all came from ECW. Put the Benoit/Malenko match in here, as well.

Rey vs. Juvi-WCWSN in 96-This was a great match, too, if I remember correctly.

Fit Finlay vs. Steve Regal from WCWSN 96-I loved this match because they just beat the fuck out of each other.

I'll post my WWF matches later.
