X-Men: Evolution

If it wasn't for Toad (No matter how much Yuna's damn sig tries to kill my liking of him), Pyro would be my favorite character, but hey... Quickwart, man. 'Nuff said.

I like this show less and less every time I see Yuna's sig pic *shudders*

If it wasn't for Toad (No matter how much Yuna's damn sig tries to kill my liking of him)

What's so disturbing about two way-too-flexible mutants, one fuzzy with a prehensile tail and the other with a prehensile long tongue, being slashy with S&M tendencies? :D

Indeed. That laugh while watching Mags getting punked out by Apocalypse had me rolling.

His entire character owns, imo. He -knows- he has an awesome power and doesn't care to let others know it too. Plus, he's sexy and has an accent.

Those in the LJ Evo community mentioned how fluid and smooth the animation is getting. Personally, I'm not noticing too much of a difference since the first season, but perhaps I'm the only one.

EDIT: Since the sig pic disturbed everyone, I changed it to this WONDERFUL drawing of gothic evo-Toad.

Kids' WB! has released details on the two-part conclusion of the Apocalypse story-arc on X-Men: Evolution . In "Ascension - Part 1," airing October 18, and "Ascension - Part 2," airing October 25, the first of all mutant-kind, Apocalypse enters the final stages of his life-long mission - to wipe out all of humankind.

Gaining full mind-control over the four most powerful mutants on Earth, he unveils his horsemen that he has selected to help him complete his destiny.

As the line between good and evil is blurred, relationships will be tested and strained to the breaking point as friends, mothers and daughters, fathers and sons are pitted against each other - and every character from the past, good and bad, returns for this culminating face-off...that will decide the fate of all humans and mutants on the planet.

Well, you couldn't have known Professor X and Storm would be Horsemen. Or at the VERY least, Storm. I had a feeling Magneto would be one, but that's about it.

Cool episode, though. Can't wait for Part 2.

I really thought Mystique was going to stay dead this time.

Why did Apoc pick Mystique anyways? She isn't nearly as powerful as someone like Juggernaut, Legion or Scarlet Witch.

No idea. I agree that Scarlet Witch, Jugs, Legion, or maybe even Rogue would have been a better choice... But it looks like Mystique can now not only shapeshift but split into a whole bunch of what she shifts into. Hmmm.

Well, they said the Horsemen's powers had been "greatly evolved". But, if they were planning on bringing Mystique back, what was the deal with the statue crying, and later, shattering? I mean, yeah, it was a great emotional episode, but it just doesn't make sense. If Mystique was hidden in one of the tombs, how could Rogue have saved her from being a stone?

Mystique has gotta be uber powerful now. I mean, she has already had her powers evolved by Magneto's machine. Anyway, I'm hoping Lance and the Brotherhood come to the rescue at the last second.

I was kinda surprised at Toad not joining the X-Team once Wanda did myself. Lance, Quicksilver, and Blob I can understand, but I was expecting Toad to trail after Wanda drooling all the way...

Best. Episode. EVER!!! I was, like, totally on the edge of my seat the whole time! I mean, you could sense that the good guys would win, yada yada yada, but it was still awesome, esp. the battles. And the animation...so incredible!

I squealed like a fangirl for the Brotherhood showing up. It's like 'YAY!!!' And I just love Todd even more now! 'Oh, right, we never win.' *snerk* Too adorable!

Now...the confusion. Why would Kurt be all mean to Mystique? After the second bestest ep known as 'Impact', it just doesn't make sense. I can understand Rogue, yeah, but Kurt? Nein.

About their powers....are, they, like still that powerful? I found that part confusing. It just doesn't make sense how Apocalypse's little, erm, thingies could manipulate their powers to such a degree, then they simply vanish because he's imprisoned. It's especially confusing for the Prof, since his powers were mental. But, it's a loop hole I'm definetly willing to look over ^.^

But, the awesome [how many times have I used that word?] shots of their future selves....it was just...guh! Todd didn't look so hot, and I think Scarlet Witch looked better with the dyke-cut, but still..it was cool. *snerk* Pietro just needs to stay off the 'roids. *likes her femmy speed demons*

Rogue just looked totally kick-ass! But, why make all the others look like they found a batch of mutant steroids? I thinked they looked fine the way they were. I couldn't see Kurt that well, but I noticed that he looked roided up as well. Ugh. But...maybe that's just them linking to the other cartoon? *shrug* If they were, then that'd create another plot hole, since Kurt wasn't originally in their party.

*pant, pant* I want them to make another season!

Great, GREAT episode. If it is truly the final one for the series, whatta way to go out on...

Also, all the glimpses into the future kicked ass(PHOENIX~!) and they could seriously pull about a good 2 seasons just from most of those alone.

Oh, just a quick update. They're replaying the season, starting this Saturday w/ Dark Horizon 1.

What, on WB or Cartoon Network? Because I missed a couple episodes.

Kids WB. It's both a blessing and a curse. What annoys me the most about WB eps is the, well, annoying, commercials.

Also, did anyone notice that, during the replay 'Growing Pains' ep on Cartoon Network, they cut the part out where Jean telekinetically flings the Principal's cell phone and breaks it? I noticed this a while ago, when I was taping the ep, and just remembered it *lol*
