Wow that didn't take long.......he must be running out of ideas. Of course everyone already knew, we just stopped caring.

He posts in the same threads everytime he's here.

Not trying to act like a mod or anything (heaven forbid), but he's not that hard to detect.

Well this last attempt he didn't even try. Guess he figured we didn't give a rat's ass.

He must really not have a life at this point. I mean having fun and being bored is one thing, but man if this is your life's goal is to run amok on an internet message board....then damn.

Who are the most recent posters who signed up the same time as all of his other names?

To save you the trouble, he's most likely using "clean rob".

I saw "clean rob" at the bottom of the WWE forum like 2 days ago, and I was wondering why his name was pink.

Then I clicked his name and it turns out he has yet to post.

Interesting.

This may or may not mean anything.

"Clean Rob" didn't register with the usual yahoo or hotmail e-mail accounts, but one from the UK.

clean rob signed on today. Petty, I know, but I'm bored.

Then make it so that people can only sign up with main email address, not yahoo/hotmail and that sort of thing.

DH, I recommended that a few months ago. Unfortunately, that option isn't available. I've deleted prospective new members from the queue based on their usernames or email addresses being dubious. That's not always going to work, though, as a troll could easily register a perfectly normal name and use a bland email address.

I'd be all in favor of shutting down new registrations for a week or more, though.

Do you mind my asking what sort of email addresses this guy keeps registering with then?

There has to be something to stop him, even if you have to go straight to his ISP.

Yahoo, Hotmail, and the like don't care. The money they make off of email is all ad-based (excepting those few suckers who actually pay for the "premium" Hotmail), so they're not to give a shit that some cretin is using their service to spam an internet messageboard.

I don't mean to contact those guys, I know they don't care. Hell, they hope he keeps on doing it I would imagine.

There is a way to sort out all of his IP addys to get his real ISP, and then you could contact them.

Whoa my Hotmail account IS my main email. And I'm sure a lot of other people are that way.

I have a regular ISP e-mail as my main acct, but we can't discriminate against yahoo and hotmail, two of the most widely used free e-mail services. I say ignore the fucker and stop making multiple threads that are simply fulfilling his ego.

If we could... I would. In a heartbeat.

Existing members would be exempt, of course, but any new registrants would have to provide a real (read: non-free) email address and have it verified. Everyone has an ISP they use to connect, so everyone should be able to provide a real email address. If all they want to use is Yahoo or Hotmail, too goddamn bad.

The whole main email address thing just confuses me.

I use IE to connect so does that mean that somewhere I have a microsoft email addy?

Sorry for being computer illiterate

I still don't like that. If I were a new member that was trying to join then I wouldn't be able to join because of my email.

Right now I'm splitting the cost of DSL with my dad. He uses the main email of the account and I use my Hotmail account.

Exactly, I don't understand what would be so hard about not allowing those with only Yahoo/Hotmail from registering. As I said, if not from now on, then at least for a month or so to let this all blow over.

yeah, I'm living with three other people right now. My dad uses the home address, my mom uses her work address, and my brother and I have to use hotmail/yahoo.

What about people in school, at the PC lab who can only use hotmail, or yahoo accts? Are you just saying "fuck those people." Then fuck people with AOL accts too, because AOL just fucking sucks, so the people that use it must be stupid, right?

People in school can get permanent email addresses provided by their school. As long as they registered with an account like [email protected], then I don't see what the big deal would be. If someone has a permanent email address, they should bloody well register with it. If they don't, boo-hoo for them. I have the integrity of the board to think about, not the feelings of people who've yet to post on it.

This all presumes we could implement something like this, of course.

This is what I say:

1: Keep joining/membership as is.

2: Make a new rule that those who keep fucking with the trolls gets banned as well as the troll.

3: When trolls lose the attention, things will stop. As long as people stop fucking the attention whore, things won't keep up.

4: Everything/Everyone goes back to normal bitching and moaning of Triple H and post whoring.
