Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted December 18, 2003 Report Posted December 18, 2003 Well, Rachel Bilson (Summer) has finally made her way onto the opening credits! Seth: "Carson Daly and ball dropping... 2 images that should never be used in the same sentence." GOLD.
Guest stardust Posted December 18, 2003 Report Posted December 18, 2003 Seth was pure gold the entire episode. I don't remember the exact quote, but his comment about Captain Oats having too much champagne and Carson Daly being an orbous (?) tool were just too, too funny.
Max Danger Posted December 18, 2003 Report Posted December 18, 2003 Ginormous(giant or gigantic and enormous combined).
Guest stardust Posted December 18, 2003 Report Posted December 18, 2003 Gotcha. I couldn't tell what the hell he said, all I knew was that it was funny simply because he called Carson Daly a tool.
BlackFlagg Posted December 18, 2003 Report Posted December 18, 2003 the ball dropping line was great, as was Sandy with the Seth-esque three-way comment
Guest Choken One Posted December 18, 2003 Report Posted December 18, 2003 This was an episode of Beauty.
OldSchoolWrestling Posted December 18, 2003 Report Posted December 18, 2003 After tonight's show, they won't be on until January 21st. I really need to stop getting my info from the site I use. In case you missed the next show's previews, OC will be returning on January 7th. Good episode tonight, great to see Summer in the credits finally! Thoughts on the sister? In some scenes to me her face looked a little manly, but then in most other scenes I found her quite hot. No Jimmy or Jimmy's ex which was a good break, no Luke. New guy is ok I guess. I thought Ryan was going to walk in on the kiss at midnight and that would carry over a few shows but it didn't so is he gone? I'm glad Seth ended up with one of the girls because I wouldn't have enjoyed him staying home doing nothing because if you remember, he was so happy when Ryan moved in that he would be able to start going to parties and hanging out with the cool crowd.
Zack Malibu Posted December 18, 2003 Report Posted December 18, 2003 Oliver looks to be sticking around. The preview for the next ep showed him flirting with Marissa and Ryan starting to get ticked, but then SOMETHING HAPPENS~! and Ryan tries to help him. Kinda like the Ryan/Luke scenario in a way, I guess, although it took Luke getting shot for Ryan to finally help him. I have to say though, he's a lot sneakier than Luke, and I hate him already. You KNOW Ryan is gonna deck him soon. Kirsten's sister is HOT. I'm almost positive that the off-hand comment on her party lifestyle/drug problem (when she was talking to that chick in the bedroom) will lead to conflict for at least an ep. Good to see both Summer and Julie in the opening credits. I couldn't believe Seth seemingly "made the choice", but if you saw the preview, we haven't heard the end of Summer. The Carson Daly/Dick Clark/ball dropping lines were gold, but the best one was this: (Seth tells Sandy and Kirsten about the whole Ryan/Marissa "I love you" bit) Kirsten: "So what did you say?" Seth: "He said thank you." Ryan (to Seth): "Thank you." Sandy and Kirsten look at each other. Sandy: "Well, that's polite!" I was dying. And how about the inside joke at the start about Russel Crowe? The writers of this show are awesome people.
Guest Choken One Posted December 19, 2003 Report Posted December 19, 2003 yeah I dug the shot at Crowe...It likely went over everyone's head.
HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 I saw Stuff Magazine, and got interested in the show all of a sudden (hmmmm.....Summer), so I wasted time reading all 17 pages of this thread. Damn it, I want to watch the show now! How can I miss out on this?
Guest Ghettoman Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 You can't. Best show ever, my Wednesdays feel so empty without it. I can't stand Oliver, his intentions are clear and I was pumping my fist in celebration of his defeat more so than Ryans victory at the end of the New Years show. I've realized though I haven't seen most of the summer season episodes, anyone here anything about DVDs?
OldSchoolWrestling Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 I haven't heard anything about dvd yet but it may be too early since the season runs a few more months. I know Zach and I and probably a few others tape the shows so PM us and I'm sure we can work something out.
syxx2001 Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 The summer episodes seem so different from the current episodes. No PM ME~! I'll put them on a DVD for you. Oh yeah.
OldSchoolWrestling Posted January 7, 2004 Report Posted January 7, 2004 The O.C. returns tonight. Here's the preview: Seth finally chooses between Anna and Summer but does not know how to break the news; Ryan debates whether to help Oliver out of a sticky situation.
haVoc Posted January 7, 2004 Report Posted January 7, 2004 I been seeing previews all week. Looks good. About time this show returned.
Guest El Satanico Posted January 7, 2004 Report Posted January 7, 2004 Ryan debates whether to help Oliver out of a sticky situation. And everyone will eat ice cream
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 Holy shit! Melinda Clarke (from Return of the Living Dead 3, Spawn) is on this show? Color me hooked. Although she's like 28...and playing what, a high school kid? Never seen this show before.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 Can someone help me, I can't decide which girl is Melinda Clarke...is she the girl mooching in the house that drank the OJ and ate the bagels...that can't be her, in the orange/brown outfit.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 This show's pretty good...I have something to watch Wednesdays now. And I'm gonna keep postin', ala RAW...so I hope some other peeps like it. The dude with the big black truck and slashed tires is cool, breaking bitches in half on PS2 like me. The tall, brunette, girlfriend bitch sucks. Oliver should get ran over by a car. The lead character is insecure. Weird looking sucker, but for once I don't hate the main character. This show's a weird combo of 90210 (the plot) and Dawson's Creek (the script)...maybe a little TOO MUCH Dawson's Creek, which gets boring, but decent, altogether.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 Dump her over AIM, I did that a couple times when drunk. College relationships, mind you...they don't count.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 Rich guy hangs out with guy's girlfriend, and gets friends backstage passes to concert... How original.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 STOP HUGGING HIS FUCKING GIRLFRIEND YOU DICKHEAD.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 Haha, Oliver's an idiot. I'll just buy coke from a "mystery dealer" at a fucking concert. Good riddance.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 We PlayStationing it or what? Oliver's gonna blow up the house, Melrose style. Later people.
BlackFlagg Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 Luke singing along with the band=GOLD! heh
Guest OctoberBlood Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 Seriously, worst. show. ever. Just thought I'd give my opinion on THE OC.
Guest El Satanico Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 It's fine that you dislike or even hate the show, but it's not the worst show EVER. It's not even the worse current show.
syxx2001 Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 I read the spoilers and BOY OH BOY are the next few shows gonna RAWK. Melinda Clarke is the mom with the big eyes I think.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 I don't even think Melinda Clarke was ON the show tonight...I saw her (red hair) in the previews for next week, though.
