Guest Choken One Report post Posted April 2, 2004 Anyone see it this week? A very different show...with the jewish influences and seth's more ho-hum demeanor. The interaction with Ryan and Eddie and the old neighborhood was cute...the final line with Sandy and RYan was great... "How was Home?" "I was in Chino, How would I know".... The Robfather 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2004 I loved The Nana. Great character. Poor Seth, but I was glad to see some serious acting from Adam. Seth and Summer = cutest couple ever. Ryan back in Chino = meh, I'd rather seem him interact more with the Cohens
OldSchoolWrestling 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2004 Jimmy is really getting on my nerves with his sissy boy act. He'd better pound that shit hard and earn my respect back. Marissa has a nice right hook. I think she hit harder than Eddie. I'm really gonna miss Teresa. She's very hot on a show full of hot women. And I love that voice of hers. Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2004 Jimmy is really getting on my nerves with his sissy boy act. He'd better pound that shit hard and earn my respect back. Marissa has a nice right hook. I think she hit harder than Eddie. I'm really gonna miss Teresa. She's very hot on a show full of hot women. And I love that voice of hers. I don't know why, but when she invited Ryan to the wedding, it made me think that there isn't going to be closure on their deal yet. I thought Ryan and Luke were gonna brawl for old times sake and ruin the party, but Marissa whacked the shit out of him. I dug babyface Luke, so it's gonna suck if he's not around the gang as much, or goes back to being a jerk. How about the previews for next show though? Caleb proposes, Marissa and Ryan kiss (again), and someone gets hurt? Me likey.
humanoid92 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2004 The way the previews made it sound, it looks like someone's getting killed off in a car accident at the end of the season. So if someone dies, I say it's gotta be Luke. There's just nothing left for his character to do. He's burned all his bridges.
Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2004 I think it was NBT4:20 who said that Chris Carmack was unsure of coming back next season. I don't see the need to kill Luke off. I figured he'd go live with his dad or something, leaving it open for if he wanted to come back.
The Robfather 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2004 Yeah, they wrote Luke into a corner. He can't hang out with 'the gang' anymore. Nothing left for him on this show.
haVoc 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2004 I wish Marissa would die. I can't stand that character. I hated that character when it was Kelly on 90210. The whinny bitch who has problems every week that you're supposed to relate to and feel sorry for. At least turn her heel.
The Robfather 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2004 Its funny how in the early episodes, Summer was supposed to be the self-aborbed bitch and Marissa was supposed to be the girl next door everyone loved, but now its reversed.
Mole 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2004 I am not sure if anyone posted this, but the O.C. is getting great ratings. Last week, 3/24, the O.C recieved a 7.2 with an 11 share. They were one of the top rated shows of the week, around 25. This week, 3/31, the O.C. recieved a 7.5 with an 12 share. That is up from a 6.7 with an 10 share from 3/3. Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2004 Looks like they combined the two storylines for Luke, in that he still got hurt in the accident, but is still heading out to live with his dad (I called it!). First Anna, now Luke. Damn the writers for making these characters too likable. It seemed kinda random that Ryan would just up and kiss Marissa like that. The storyline with the restaurant has taken a nice twist too, although Caleb earned MAJOR heel points by blackmailing Marissa. Next week looks awesome. I knew we hadn't seen the last of Theresa. OldSchoolWrestling 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2004 For some reason I thought someone was supposed to die. The only thing that saved it for me was seeing Teresa back next week. Can Sandy and Kirsten adopt her too??? Please? So I guess Eddie becomes the next heel....again.

Can Sandy and Kirsten adopt her too??? Please? So I guess Eddie becomes the next heel....again. I don't know man...Caleb has evolved into more of a dick than before. And if he's blackmailing Marissa, you KNOW Ryan's going to have something to say about it, and that Sandy would back him up.
Brush with Greatness 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2004 Can anyone give a recap. I missed it on both Monday and Wednesday (I'm Canadian eh, which means I've missed the past few weeks of Degrassi as well, which is a great lead in for O.C.), along with the past few weeks, although it sounds like it hasn't been on. So what happened?
OldSchoolWrestling 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2004 Luke was still fretting over Melissa finding out and was trying to talk to her. Ryan and Seth acted all pissed at him and told him to leave her alone. There was a big party at the restaurant and Luke showed up drunk and then saw Caleb propose to Julie which set him off more. He went and drank some more and ended up crashing his car. He had already told Ryan he was leaving town to go live with his dad but wanted to make amends. Sandy and Jimmy had their liquor license denied because the guy that makes the decision was a client that got ripped off by Jimmy. Sandy got Caleb to help them out and Caleb in turn used that to get Marissa to live with her mom again (I dozed for a minute during this part so I may be slightly off). Seth and Summer did up Marissa's room but nothing of note really happened there. Ryan and Marissa kissed. Next week's preview showed Teresa come back with a black eye from Eddie, so you know a showdown is coming with him and Ryan.
Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted April 22, 2004 Awesome episode last night. Sets up the last two episodes nicely. Everyone finding out about Jimmy and Hailey was done well. Instead of a fake "I'm happy for you", Kirsten showed genuine concern for what Jimmy may be getting in to. The interaction with Ryan and Sandy was excellently done. Having Ryan go beat Eddie's ass is predictable, but having him turn around and realize that doing so would ruin everything the Cohen's have done for him wasn't worth it. I like having Theresa back, as there is unfinished business between she and Ryan, no matter how "happy" he and Marissa might be at this point. Seth was hysterical, as always, and the situation with Summer's dad sucks. I don't wanna see them breakup, especially with Anna gone. Next week looks AWESOME with the guys in Vegas, Julie and Hailey catfighting, and Sandy FINALLY getting up in Caleb's face. My guess is that Ryan reveals that he's blackmailing Marissa and Sandy has enough.
UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted April 22, 2004 The comic book references by Seth to Summer's dad were pretty fun. ICE-MAN...? He...freezes things... Haha. I still predict someone will be shot and killed before the season is over. Eh, my friends and I have been predicting us ever since the LAME ending to the Oliver Saga. Hopefully, it's Teresa...as I really hate her character. Equally as annoying as Marissa, but they can't kill her off, so, duh. Anyone getting a 90210 vibe that they're moving all these teens into the house and may eventually phase the adults out in a season or so? I'm pissed they got rid of Luke. He was the best character on the show. Though they wrote him differently every episode, which was annoying. Julie's sister was hideous. Please keep her away. Looking forward to Seth getting some from a hooker/slut next week. Yay.
Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted April 22, 2004 They'll never phase the adults out. There have been episodes where Peter Gallagher has MADE the show.
syxx2001 0 Report post Posted April 23, 2004 Who is that? Sandy?
The Robfather 0 Report post Posted April 23, 2004 I do not buy that Summer would take any relationship advice from her father. He did, afterall, marry the step-monster she's been ragging on all season long. That said, I can understand why she'd be close to him. After her mom took off, he probably spoiled Summer and treated her like a princess. Why does Ryan have to sleep in Seth's room? Why not the room Nana slept in when she stayed? Whoever that girl Seth is with next week, he'll chicken out I bet and nothing will happen beyond that kiss. I did not like the idea of making Eddie into an abusive creep. We have enough negative sterotypes reinforced already in tv.
haVoc 0 Report post Posted April 23, 2004 I was starting to wonder if everyone forgot about this show. I wish they would get rid of Teresa and Eddie all together. That on going storyline gets on my nerves. But, so does Marissa so that may be the reason. I hate that I'm supposed to feel sorry for her every episode. Like I've mentioned in other post, just like Jenny Garth's character on 90210. The parents storylines interest me more then the kids.
Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted April 23, 2004 Who is that? Sandy? Yep. As for forgetting about this show, hell no I haven't forgotten. I still tape it every week, and stand by my opinion that it's one of the best written shows on TV.
OldSchoolWrestling 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2004 Who is that? Sandy? Yep. As for forgetting about this show, hell no I haven't forgotten. I still tape it every week, and stand by my opinion that it's one of the best written shows on TV. What he said. I taped the show this week and couldn't watch until Saturday morning. Great episode and I have to second that Sandy (and now Kirsten) are making some of the shows. What I really like about Kirsten is that she's not playing the role of June Cleaver. I love how when the going gets tough, the tough down some wine. She's always pissed about something and it plays well with Sandy's happy go lucky attitude. Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2004 Just picked up the newest Stuff magazine, featuring the girls of The OC, and a major spread on Bonnie Somerville (who played Sandy's co-worker Rachel earlier in the season).
haVoc 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2004 Alright, finished watching the episode from last night. This show will die next season if they give Ryan a kid and focus storylines on it. It's way too early in this show to be giving the kids their own kids.
The Robfather 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2004 I hate that Seth threw the angry trucker hat away. It would have made a great souvenir for Ryan. Summer forgave Seth a bit too easily for kissing that whore. He was acting kind of toolish last night. Hopefully, Caleb gets taken down once and for all. The guy swindled Jimmy and Sandy out of their restaurant, made it look like it was because of Jimmy's past criminal activity, and to top it off, blackmailed Jimmy's daughter. I loved the final scene with Ryan, Summer, and Seth taking in the sights. Ryan seems so much more at ease in scenes that don't involve the MarissaBot. Guest Choken One Report post Posted April 29, 2004 has anyone noticed that ryan hasn't changed his clothes since leaving Chino? Im getting concerned. What happened to his job? I doubt ryans the father...Likely Theresa is lying because she knows the cohens will support better then Eddie can.
OldSchoolWrestling 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2004 I'm pissed off that Tru Calling gets a 2 hour finale and OC doesn't. But OC did have double the episodes so I guess its all good. I missed the start of the show, why did Teresa need money? To move out on her own?
