Dr. Tom 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2003 Saturday's pretty bad, actually. I think my money league is having its draft that day, and I have to help a friend move. Sunday is pretty free, so far, and Monday is naturally out.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted August 28, 2003 Sunday late afternoon/early evening would be better for me as well. I could manage doing it on Saturday, but I'd only be able to stay for an hour if you mean 6 eastern.

Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted August 29, 2003 I need opinions on my team: QB - Rich Gannon, Matt Hasselbeck RB - Priest Holmes, William Green, T.J. Duckett WR - Eric Moulds, Amani Toomer, Chad Johnson, Jimmy Smith, Travis Taylor TE - Randy McMichael, Bryon Chamberlain K- Ryan Longwell, Mike Hollis Def - Baltimore, S.F. the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2003 You could use a legit 3rd RB since you have Holmes, but it is a good team. The WRs are great, QB is top tier with a potential top 10 backup. TE is unknown (which McMichael shows up the first half of last year version or the second half version), but after the top three it doesn't matter anyway. I would probably trade Toomer for a RB. Worst case scenario is that Holmes gets hurt you have someone to step in. Best case scenario, Holmes stays healthy, use the third RB in bye week then trade him. A good RB can always be turned into something midseason. And I think Toomer has his highest value right now, because I think Shockey will steal more receptions this year costing him 300-400 yards and 4-5 TDs. the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2003 And I am going under the assumption you starting lineup is 1 QB 2 RB 2 WR 1 TE 1 K 1 D

Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted August 29, 2003 (edited) 1 QB 2 RB 3 WR 1 TE 1 K 1 Def I can't quite decide on who to try to snag. Who are some backs worth picking up for a bench spot? Edited August 29, 2003 by Mad Dog
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2003 If you start 3 WRs then nevermind. See if a Stacey Mack or Amos Zereoue type slipped through and are available on the waiver wire. I doubt you will find a back on the waiver wire better than Duckett, unless it is a small league. So you might as well stay put for now and not trade your WRs at least until Smith is back from suspension.

He said that he wants a back like Travis Henry. Since my RBs have the same bye-week, like in the TSM league, I went ahead and made an offer, then had to go through a bunch of counters afterwards. One of which that wasn't taken was Ricky/Booker for Henry/Harrison or even Henry/Boston for Ricky/Booker. Either of them would've worked, since that's about as close as I can come without giving up too much. So anyway, here's the "now or nothing" trade I've been proposed. Ricky Williams, Rod Smith, Reggie Wayne for Travis Henry, Marvin Harrison, Moe Williams Should I take this? This leaves me without a backup RB, but with a bit of trade bait to go and get one. No. You are giving up two first rounders for only Williams. The upgrade to Williams from Henry does not come close to making up for the downgrade from Harrison to Smith. Plus you lose your backup RB for a guy who may not amount to anything in Wayne and would simply be riding your bench. Do NOT make this deal.
Agent_Bond34 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2003 Thanks, guys. Much appreciated. Would I have better luck trying to trade Travis Henry for Deuce McAllister?
Dr. Tyler; Captain America 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2003 Why would you even bother? Henry is a fine back; unless your team has some other deficiency, don't put him up for a trade.

Dr. Tyler; Captain America 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2003 One loss probably won't kill you, though. You could always pick up a mediocre roster plug for that week.
Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2003 Thanks, guys. Much appreciated. Would I have better luck trying to trade Travis Henry for Deuce McAllister? Straight up? If so, I would never agree to it if I had McAllister. He is healthier, doesn't have to worry as much about his backup stealing touches, and plays in an arguably better offense. McAllister is simply the safer pick. I personally would rank McAllister above Shaun Alexander as well. McAllister is 6th overall. Henry is 8th.

Other than the stud RBs, he's more valuable than any other player.
Agent_Bond34 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2003 I don't plan on involving Harrison at all, Harrison I might consider trading for maybe T.O. later on down the line or simply keeping.
Agent_Bond34 0 Report post Posted August 31, 2003 And on that note, I just got another trade from the same guy, I guess this guy wants to give up his QB without at least taking one of mine.
