Sandman9000 Posted August 17, 2003 Report Posted August 17, 2003 Can't believe you guys forgot Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Bruce Lee returning from the dead for this flick
Damaramu Posted August 17, 2003 Report Posted August 17, 2003 Hmm...I'm sorry but I think Ash would get quickly dealt with....
Corey_Lazarus Posted August 18, 2003 Report Posted August 18, 2003 Jason = no pain, but vulnerable. Freddy = beaten by women constantly. Ash = destroyed his possessed friends single-handedly, destroyed a second set of possessed people after winning an inner battle for his soul, and taught a hundred villagers how to fight against an ARMY of undead bloodthirsty bastards successfully. I think Ash would just take the chainsaw to 'em and be done with them. Off with Freddy's head burn the body. Off with Jason's head, arms, and legs, and burn the body. 'NUFF...FUCKING...SAID.
Corey_Lazarus Posted August 18, 2003 Report Posted August 18, 2003 Dude...me and my buddy Petone came up with an awesome commercial idea for Freddy/Jason/Ash if it's made... **blurred picture of Freddy Krueger while Bruce Campbell speaks** "They tried fire...didn't work. They tried explosions...didn't work. They tried dismemberment...didn't work. They tried Holy Water...didn't work." **blurred picture of Jason Voorhees, hockey mask and all, while Bruce Campbell speaks** "They tried impalement...didn't work. They tried toxic waste...didn't work. They tried destroying his heart...didn't work. They tried drowning...didn't work." **complete darkness on the screen** "But they didn't try one thing..." **moving picture of Ash, the boomstick slung over his shoulder, the chainsaw on his hand at his side, looking at the camera** "Me." **clips of the movie with Ash warding off both, and then swinging the revved chainsaw at the head of one, then back to Ash's face in front of a black background** "...groovy..."
Ravenbomb Posted August 18, 2003 Report Posted August 18, 2003 Ash = destroyed his possessed friends single-handedly Spoiler (Highlight to Read): technically, he didn't do it single-handedly, Scotty killed one of them and yeah, that commercial would kick ass
Guest Black Tiger Posted August 18, 2003 Report Posted August 18, 2003 Fuck this Freddy vs Jason vs Evil Dead shit. It's all going to get very old, very stupid, very fast. Why not have Chucky show up for shits and giggles? What I think New Line should do is to do a sort of two in one release of "A Nightmare On Elm St: Part 0" and "Friday The 13th: Part 0" Half the movie shows how Freddy came to be, and the other half shows how Jason came to be. Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Freddy vs Jason gave us a very slight peek at the begining of how each one started out. Freddy's career as the Springwood Slasher (including a shot of him actually killing of his vicitms) and how Jason really drowned, after seeing how the other kids at the camp treated Jason. It is completely understandable that Mrs Voorhees would go on a psychotic killing spree
Guest Urine Sane Posted August 18, 2003 Report Posted August 18, 2003 But prequels are dumb if you already know most of the story, I'd much rather have Ash kick ass again, screw FvsJvsA I WANT EVIL DEAD 4! But Ash in any form is better then Ash in no form. Dude...me and my buddy Petone came up with an awesome commercial idea for Freddy/Jason/Ash if it's made... They tried drowning...didn't work." **complete darkness on the screen** "But they didn't try one thing..." **moving picture of Ash, the boomstick slung over his shoulder, the chainsaw on his hand at his side, looking at the camera** "Me." **clips of the movie with Ash warding off both, and then swinging the revved chainsaw at the head of one, then back to Ash's face in front of a black background** "...groovy..." That's great, except for all the "didn't works" only have one for the list of all the things they tried. And another thing, I would love it if a ton of Vs movies came out, it's like the horror craze in the 80's, sure a lot of crap came out, but it didn't make the good ones any worse.
Guest JMA Posted August 18, 2003 Report Posted August 18, 2003 I'd much more prefer Evil Dead 3 (ignoring Army of Darkness).
Downhome Posted August 18, 2003 Author Report Posted August 18, 2003 I'd much more prefer Evil Dead 3 (ignoring Army of Darkness). How could you just ignore AoD seeing how Evil Dead II ended?
Guest JMA Posted August 18, 2003 Report Posted August 18, 2003 How could you just ignore AoD seeing how Evil Dead II ended? Well, maybe not "ignore." But I still think a new Evil Dead movie should be Evil Dead 3, instead of 4.
Guest Lethargic Posted August 18, 2003 Report Posted August 18, 2003 Well, I don't think that stuff matters. I think those Evil Dead guys will ignore pretty much anything in order to make the next one. Let's not ignore the fact that Ash was in part 1 and apparently died at the end but still came back in part 2. There was no continuity between 1 and 2 at all. I'm sure they'd ignore it again if they had to make whatever idea they came up with.
NoCalMike Posted August 18, 2003 Report Posted August 18, 2003 It would be hard to imagine Bruce having much of a chance against the likes of Freddy/Jason. Yes he did take out an entire Army of Darkness, but the dead-ites are hardly worthy opponents. Dead-ites are more just stupid dumb video game type villians that come at you 10 at a time but can be dealth with, by a single punch, kick, chainsaw blast, or bullet. As to where Jason/Freddy can walkthrough pretty much everything Bruce can offer, but hey who knows, wait for a script.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted August 18, 2003 Report Posted August 18, 2003 I envision Freddy and Jason battling it out on screen while Ash falls from the sky behind them, lands face first on the ground, gets up , brushes himself off and says "So...what's going on here?" as they turn to look at him. After that it writes itself.
Youth N Asia Posted August 18, 2003 Report Posted August 18, 2003 I can almost see the whole Bruce Campbell is overrated thing. Just cause his fans are a little more rabid about his work then the average movie goer. And with that being said, Bruce Campbell OWNS! groovy
Guest Lethargic Posted August 18, 2003 Report Posted August 18, 2003 It would be hard to imagine Bruce having much of a chance against the likes of Freddy/Jason. Yes he did take out an entire Army of Darkness, but the dead-ites are hardly worthy opponents. Why is it unbelievable to think Bruce Campbell could battle these guys , but we just saw a movie where a couple of teenagers basically beat BOTH of them and nobody finds that unbelievable? Doesn't every single one of these movies end with the human girl winning? If a teenage girl can beat Freddy and Jason in every movie they have, I'm sure Ash can. Besides it's not like anybody expects Ash to go in this movie and kick ass. The whole point of Ash is that HE gets his ass kicked. That's the humor of it. He gets beat up for 1:30 but still thinks he's the man and drops some one liners. Somehow he lucks into a victory but in the end he'll accidently get sent to Mars or something.
Youth N Asia Posted August 18, 2003 Report Posted August 18, 2003 Yeah, it's pretty much teenage females that end up kicking their asses in every movie. So Ash is not a stretch.
HellSpawn Posted August 20, 2003 Report Posted August 20, 2003 Dude...me and my buddy Petone came up with an awesome commercial idea for Freddy/Jason/Ash if it's made... **blurred picture of Freddy Krueger while Bruce Campbell speaks** "They tried fire...didn't work. That rules man!I do agree with another guy.. too many "Didnt Work" but still rules.
Betty Houle Posted August 20, 2003 Report Posted August 20, 2003 ...if that happens, I'll never have to watch another horror film as long as I live. I will have witnessed the coolest thing, of all time. Or the gayest.
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted August 20, 2003 Report Posted August 20, 2003 BEST THING EVER!!!!! WHOOOOOOO

Guest Big_Jay101 Posted August 20, 2003 Report Posted August 20, 2003 Jason and Freddy were both beaten by women al most every time. Think about it Ash would be the good guya nd he'd win so it would be useless. I doubt it will ever happen. New line Dosent own Ash but it could happen. Most people would rather leave F vs J to fight eachother or leave the first alone. I'ma ll for a sequel as long as charachters besides the givin 2 fromt he first dont cross over
Youth N Asia Posted August 20, 2003 Report Posted August 20, 2003 Yeah, when teenage girls and a young Corey Feldman are kicking your ass...you're not so tough.
Guest Lethargic Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 I don't think the companies who own the characters are worried about rights. I'm sure Dimension is looking at FvsJ's 36 million weekend and then looking at Halloween: Resurrection's 12 million and thinking that getting some of that action wouldn't be such a bad deal to make. Same for whoever owns Ash.
Guest Big_Jay101 Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 Yeah but i doubt New Line is gonna come to an agreement with Dimension and whoever oens Ash. Maybe Ash because i dont think a company owns him. But most liekly New line wont add Ash it is just a bad idea
Ravenbomb Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 Yeah, when teenage girls and a young Corey Feldman are kicking your ass...you're not so tough. Young Corey Feldman, John Shepard and Thom Matthews, and teenage girls.
Guest The Grand Pubah of 1620 Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 Ash is cool, but Michael Myers has got to be the next project.
Guest Jay Z. Hollywood Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 I thought New Line DID own Ash. I remember ED1 being distributed by New Line.
Soja Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 Ash is cool, but Michael Myers has got to be the next project. Not gonna happen, if this rumor's true anyway. Looks like Dimension's looking to do their own versus flick... Michael Myers Vs. Pinhead.

It has the potential to be the best match-up ever, including Hearns/Hagler!
