Guest Anglesault Posted August 19, 2003 Report Posted August 19, 2003 I mean, look at it this way. The world hasn't exactly been screaming for Shane to get his Bisch win back. This "feud" isn't setting the world on fire and certainly isn't so over that it has to get blown off on PPV in a spot that belongs to a wrestler. (Apparently,) on Raw, Shane made some comment about the match being off (Yes, it was storyline driven, but bear with me.) At some point later in the show, he steals a car. So, why not on Heat, announce an extra Raw match (IC title or something) at this point, it will look like Raw has more matches than SD!, but come time for the match no one wants to see, have Easy E come out and announce that charges have been pressed against Shane and he's in police custody, so the match is forfeited. It has already been "called off" so it's not even false advertising. Slide the new match in it's place, and waste all of a minute on Shane/Bischoff so that no actual wrestler has to get forced off the show for Shane "The Ego" McMahon. If Shane really feels he needs his job back (Because he's a wrestler or something), blow it off on Raw. This way, there is a plausible reason to get rid of the match, allowing someone worthy to get on the show.
Guest Askewniverse Posted August 19, 2003 Report Posted August 19, 2003 Get rid of Shane vs. Bischoff at SummerSlam? I wouldn't mind that one bit, especially if that meant actual wrestlers would get a spot on the card. There's already been too many McMahon matches on PPV this year. I don't want to see another one.
Guest Retro Rob Posted August 19, 2003 Report Posted August 19, 2003 Shane didn't really say it was off. What he said is used all the time in wrestling like, "You can forget about our match later... BECAUSE I'M GONNA KICK YOUR ASS RIGHT NOW!" While with Linda, Eric spoke of the match as if it were happening.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted August 19, 2003 Report Posted August 19, 2003 Hmm.. JR: Well, now that Shane vs Eric Bischoff has been scratched, it seems as if we have a replacement match.. Test vs Scott Steiner!
Guest webmasterofwrestlegame Posted August 19, 2003 Report Posted August 19, 2003 I think they will keep it, if nothing to be the buffer between the two World Title Matches - I can't see anything else on the card managing to be that buffer effectively.
TheFranchise Posted August 19, 2003 Report Posted August 19, 2003 Hmm.. JR: Well, now that Shane vs Eric Bischoff has been scratched, it seems as if we have a replacement match.. Test vs Scott Steiner! Now who among you shane haters is laughing?
Guest Coffey Posted August 19, 2003 Report Posted August 19, 2003 have Easy E come out and announce that charges have been pressed against Shane and he's in police custody, so the match is forfeited. Eric is the one that committed all the crimes. Breaking and entering, assault and the alleged rape. Not to mention trespassing and you could probably press charges for defimation of character as well seeing as how the whole thing was on camera. It would make more sense for Shane McMahon to come out and say that "I wanted to kick Eric's ass, but I can't because my mother had him arrested."

Aero Posted August 20, 2003 Report Posted August 20, 2003 I'm really hoping that Shane vs. Bischoff doesn't happen. When Shane said that the match was off on Raw, I was thrilled. Then, I got pretty disappointed when he said he would kick his ass, which never got fulfilled, mind you.

Is it still breaking & entering since he rang the doorbell & Linda let him in?
Guest Boo_Bradley Posted August 20, 2003 Report Posted August 20, 2003 I regret not watching RAW since last September, as it sounds just so horribly bad... and I was a fan of the "bad" WCW.
Lil' Bitch Posted August 20, 2003 Report Posted August 20, 2003 Well, Linda didn't actually let him in, the door was...unlocked. Honestly, I'd rather see Test Vs. Stiener # 345123687 than Shane Vs. Eric.
Steviekick Posted August 20, 2003 Report Posted August 20, 2003 I think they will keep it, if nothing to be the buffer between the two World Title Matches - I can't see anything else on the card managing to be that buffer effectively. And what a great bathroom break it will provide for the viewers.
AndrewTS Posted August 20, 2003 Report Posted August 20, 2003 Well, Linda didn't actually let him in, the door was...unlocked. "I didn't break, I just entered." I think if they were going to cancel it they would have announced it on Raw already. Unless we see some something about it on SD--which is unlikely--then I'm assuming it's still on. Test vs. Steiner will likely be a TV feud only, or maybe Stacy does more lapdances at the PPV to forward the angle.
Guest Coffey Posted August 20, 2003 Report Posted August 20, 2003 Linda did not let him into the house. When you enter someone else's home without permission, that's breaking & entering.
Guest Anglesault Posted August 20, 2003 Report Posted August 20, 2003 Linda did not let him into the house. When you enter someone else's home without permission, that's breaking & entering. I didn't see. Could the McMahon's illiterate, underpaid foreign maid have let him in?
The Czech Republic Posted August 20, 2003 Report Posted August 20, 2003 I thought you were asking if Linda and Eric were going to have sex.
