Guest Anglesault Posted August 31, 2003 Report Posted August 31, 2003 Yeah yeah yeah, He's the Undertaker and he's evil and he sells for no one and he doesn't feel it (To this day I think he was right on that one, by the way) and all that other nonsense. But the build up to this match seems to suggest that Taker might tap to Kurt Angle next week on SD! They do seem to be trying to build up the Ankle Lock and Kurt Angle (while destroying Brock lesnar for some unknown reason) and what better way then to get a win over Taker with it? Another reason I might see it is because he kind of did last year while Angle was a heel. For some reason I see him treating face Angle even better. On top of all that, it would be the a lead in to Taker/Brock if Brock somehow factors into the match (Maybe laying both guys out, but targeting UT's leg) ... I am the only one, aren't I.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted August 31, 2003 Report Posted August 31, 2003 Takers going to lose due to Lesnar interference setting up a Taker Lesnar fued while Angle probably gets Big Show for a while.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted August 31, 2003 Report Posted August 31, 2003 It's a possibility, but then that would require Taker actually putting someone else over at his expense.
CanadianChick Posted August 31, 2003 Report Posted August 31, 2003 I don't mean to beat a dead horse, but when is the last time face Taker lost a match with no outside interference?
Guest Anglesault Posted August 31, 2003 Report Posted August 31, 2003 I don't mean to beat a dead horse, but when is the last time face Taker lost a match with no outside interference? When was the last time Taker faced a ME face?
CanadianChick Posted August 31, 2003 Report Posted August 31, 2003 Huh? No, I asked when is the last time Taker, as a face, has lost a match without outside interference?
Youth N Asia Posted August 31, 2003 Report Posted August 31, 2003 Well, Taker did put over Brock clean at hell in a hell...oh wait, no he didn't. Brock needed to ambush Taker and million times and break his hand.
Guest Choken One Posted August 31, 2003 Report Posted August 31, 2003 Well...Steamboat only beat Savage just Savage's leg gave way...so that wasn't clean?
Guest Anglesault Posted August 31, 2003 Report Posted August 31, 2003 Huh? No, I asked when is the last time Taker, as a face, has lost a match without outside interference? And that's mostly because he's been facing midcard-lower midcard heels. And NO ONE beats Taker 100 % clean, so I'm not looking for that.
RavishingRickRudo Posted August 31, 2003 Report Posted August 31, 2003 Not next week. I could see the possibility of Taker tapping to Angle, but it hasn't been set up properly - just Angle saying "I will tap you out". They need to bring out footage of the "triangle"/powerbomb tap/pin" and tease it again in a match (maybe the next Smackdown match). Angle's motivation to tap Taker out can be established, but it cannot come full circle in just one show. It has to mean something.
Guest webmasterofwrestlegame Posted August 31, 2003 Report Posted August 31, 2003 Well if you remember the plans for Taker at Survivor Series (posted a few days ago) then its clear how Angle/Taker will finish.
RavishingRickRudo Posted August 31, 2003 Report Posted August 31, 2003 Yes, it is clear how Taker vs. Angle _the mini-feud_ will finish. The match next week is still up in the air and I am expecting it to carry on for at least 3 weaks.
Guest BionicRedneck Posted August 31, 2003 Report Posted August 31, 2003 I have no desire to watch this match whatsoever. Angle as a face bores me to tears, Taker as anything bores me to tears. Seriously, is Taker the most boring wrestler on earth at the minute? I reckon so. The shitty, cliched promos about this fictional "Yard", the craptacular, predictable matches with badly executed MMA moves, the "soup bones", the annual main event push. Putting Taker anywhere near the main event is a step backwards. Anyway, on topic: Yes, I think he might tap. I don't think it'll be clean.
Guest Anglesault Posted August 31, 2003 Report Posted August 31, 2003 , the craptacular, predictable matches I thought he did a fine job carrying Cena at Vengeance
bobobrazil1984 Posted August 31, 2003 Report Posted August 31, 2003 They fight evenly, finally Undertaker mauls Angle, has him beat, Lesner comes in and does the damage, Angle makes the pin. That's how its going to happen. sadly.
Lil' Bitch Posted August 31, 2003 Report Posted August 31, 2003 I think they're gonna hold out on Angle / Undertaker until No Mercy where Undertaker will lose the match by tapping out for the first time in his career. Well, 2nd time if you count out the chokehold Angle gave him on the 4th of July SD episode last year.
godthedog Posted August 31, 2003 Report Posted August 31, 2003 i think taker will tap to angle this year, but probably on a ppv rather than smackdown next week.
Guest wildpegasus Posted August 31, 2003 Report Posted August 31, 2003 Lesnar's interfering on Smackdown next week against Angle. Whether the Undertapper taps or not depends on how much he loves his MMA.
AndrewTS Posted August 31, 2003 Report Posted August 31, 2003 AS: No, but I'm not one of the ones who thinks he will. Get pinned? Maybe. Tap out--I don't think so.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted August 31, 2003 Report Posted August 31, 2003 Well, Brock is a heel and Angle is a face, so that means Brock will interfere but fuck up and kill Taker. Then after the match Angle wil F5 Benjamin and Hass into the ringpost.
RavishingRickRudo Posted August 31, 2003 Report Posted August 31, 2003 Undertito's MMA skizzillz are what makes his matches worth watching. It's fun to watch Underfedor get guys against the ropes and unleash the fury that is the soupbonez, or Undertauro rock the triangle and then make up cute nicknames for the guy.
Guest EternallyLazy Posted August 31, 2003 Report Posted August 31, 2003 I think they're gonna hold out on Angle / Undertaker until No Mercy where Undertaker will lose the match by tapping out for the first time in his career. Well, 2nd time if you count out the chokehold Angle gave him on the 4th of July SD episode last year. thats the reason I'm looking forward to this match... if I'm remembering correctly, that Angle/Taker match was shockingly great
Guest EternallyLazy Posted August 31, 2003 Report Posted August 31, 2003 I'm thinking we're probably going to get a 3 way match between Angle/Brock/Taker at the next SD ppv
Guest Super Pissed Smark Posted August 31, 2003 Report Posted August 31, 2003 If Taker does tap to Angle, after Brock's already done so, I just wonder who they're building Angle up to lose to? One of the McMahon's?
Jack_Bauer Posted August 31, 2003 Report Posted August 31, 2003 I'm guessing that Eddy Guererro is getting built to be the man to do it. Call me nuts, but I think they realise how over Eddy is and they are finally turning a corner.

Guest The Decadent Slacker Posted August 31, 2003 Report Posted August 31, 2003 My guess is Vince/Brock-ference, Taker's out. Angle Lock, Taker is cold, so he submits by default. Then they build up Taker/Brock, then it segueways into Taker/Vince. They give someone like Show or Cena to feed Angle, then have him drop the title to Eddie at Survivor Series. Chances of it happening are VERY slim, as it always is when we, you know, want something to happen. But fuck it.
Guest Dids Posted September 1, 2003 Report Posted September 1, 2003 A-Train run in. He's Vince's boy, he and Taker have a history. Makes sense for him to run in...
Guest wrestlingbs Posted September 1, 2003 Report Posted September 1, 2003 I agree with MiaL, it's going to be DQ ia Lesnar's interference. No matter how powerful Angle is being brought up to be, this is Taker we're talking about. Last year UT didn't job cleanly to the guy that was going to save the company. I just can't see it.
