Guest Doyo Report post Posted September 11, 2003 Not that a message board hall of fame really matters, but why the hell are people voting for the Neptunes?!? First off, I don't care if they can walk on water, they have only been producing for four years and half of that has been pop stuff. Some producers that would be far more deserving of being in a hall of fame: Dr. Dre RZA DJ Premier Prince Paul Large Professor Pete Rock DJ Quik DJ Muggs Marley Marl This thing should really just be called "thesmartmarks favorites" instead of a hall of fame. I mean I could care less if I hear Kurtis Blow ever again in my life, but I still think he is worthy of a hall of fame. And if I was going to vote for people that came out after 1990 then Nas would definately be on my list, but he hasn't been voted for yet while Neptunes and Puff Daddy have been. Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted September 11, 2003 Look harder Agent, the fat boys are there So they are. Well, good. I'll also cast votes for NWA and Public Enemy. I feel I should explain my love for The Fat Boys... They're three jolly fat fellows that rap about Burger King. They make me smile, and are one of the half dozen rappers/groups that I can say I genuinely like. Plus the one dude can beatbox like hell, and I love that shit. The beatbox thing is why I also asked them to be included in the voting in another thread. I was really into them back when they came out and remember marking for them in concert and such. A lot of people saw them as purely a comedy act but they had some sweet beats and some phat grooves.
