And job and have a WWE-ized moveset, making him about as bland in the ring as Billy Kidman.

notJames 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2003 I recall London appearing on Velocity a while back against somebody... possibly John Cena. He pulled out some nifty stuff, like a backflip dropkick and other stuff. He missed a picture-perfect SSP (Kidman should hang his head in shame) and got pinned. Decent stff. although I share the consensus mindset that London is doomed to be fed to and regurgitated out of the dreaded WW_ Equalizer.

Guest Ghettoman Report post Posted September 13, 2003 So wait, Londons supposed towin his debut against two upper card or soon to be upper card workers, just because..... one of thems atrain? I can understand the jokes to a point, but acting like his career is over because his first match is one where he wont win and Atrain is involved is bit stupid and dramatic. Guest ChaosTheory Report post Posted September 13, 2003 London faced Matt in his last Velocity match. I think that's the match you're thinking of London's last velocity match was against Matt- but he also had a good little match with John Cena back around December (could be wrong about the month- but it was sometime around then). WWE did well picking up London and it's good to see him on the card. Hopefully, he won't be wasted.
Guest wrestlingbs Report post Posted September 13, 2003 This is a little off topic, but does anybody else feel Spanky would make a great heel. I can sense a "weak but lucky" Jericho-esque feeling from him.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2003 Maybe this time Paul London will get the big break, maybe just maybe he could be perceived as a middleweight wrestler like Matt Hardy, Guerrero, Beniot and not as cruiserweight fodder for Big Show, Brock, A-Train, Bradshaw to squash. In ROH, Spanky was a great heel, but knowing WWE, they'd turn him into the stereotypical chickenshit coward heel who has people laughing at him for running away from a boring face like........Billy Gunn for example. *Ducks from tomato-throwers*
Guest ChaosTheory Report post Posted September 13, 2003 In ROH, Spanky was a great heel How exactly was Spanky a great heel in ROH? He was arrogant, cocky & goofy- but really didn't display any other signs of being a great "heel". His gimmick was more of an oddball than anything else. Silence 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2003 Dude, you made him sound like Billy Gunn. Way to go. LMAO. Except Spanky at least knew(and still can when given time in WWE) how to wrestle in ROH, which didn't make fans hate him in the "get the hell out of the building right now" way.
