The One and Only Angel Season 5 Thread

Recommended Posts

Although they said that Fred's soul is gone, part of me thinks they were just toying with us. Someone already said they had plans to bring Fred back in season 6. And besides, Wes always has Cordy to hook up with in the afterlife.

They might be, but season 6 is happening. We can't go by rumors of what might have happened next season. So Fred's soul gone.

So...is there just an army of demons chilling out in LA now? What is Buffy going to think when she finds out about this?

I figure there are lots of demons hanging out in both Sunnydale and LA from the things that have been said over the course of Buffy and Angel. Just not all of them get involved. Some probably keep a low profile. Especially when people like Buffy and Angel are around.

or the Senior Partners called them forth to maul Angel's Avengers

That's what I assumed happened.

Lorne almost made it sound like Angel asked him to kill Lindsey.

I figured he did

btw, I would've liked for the building to get more destroyed (toppled over ala Return of the King, maybe?), but I think it ended perfect as is

Oh yeah the fact that Angel knew Lindsey wasn't coming back kind of implied it too I guess.

I just rewatched the end. I didn't notice the giant demon in back before. He towered over everyone.

Im watching it again now too.

Angel saying he doesn't remember being human is bogus. He was human for a day a couple years ago!

I think he meant he didn't remember being Liam that much anymore.

Yeah I was thinking about that.

Let me guess Anya, you didn't like the episode.

I don't know. I'm pissed so much was left unanswered, but I liked the ep overall for the most part. The Black thorn is weaksauce, but the splitting up to kill them plan and the battles against them were pretty cool. The two big deaths were done decently. The build up with everyone spending the day was good. I'm still not sure what to think of the ending. I don't think I like it though. I also don't like Lorne leaving.

I wish it was longer. The build takes up so much time there isn't enough battling.

I have decided that all the SITs (lead by Andrew~!) swooped down behind Angel and the gang and much demon ass was kicked.

Shhh, don't ruin it for me.

The thing is...if they did show the battle, how would they end it? Angel signed away his chance at the Shanshu.

I think leaving it up to us to believe whether they lived or died makes it feel like we were listening to an old legend being told where they ended the story with..."it was never known whether they lived or died that day, but the battle was quite a sight" or something like that.

Yeah, the Scoobie Army finally giving up being pissy little bitches about Angel's Avengers taking over Wolfram & Hart would be good.

...fucking WB...

I thought about Buffy and a bunch of SITs helping him.

Meanwhile in Heaven angel Anya chills out with angel Wes.......

Technically it happened so suddenly that there's no way Buffy and the New Slayers would make it unless Angel called them, but such a move would be very noticable to the Senior Partners. Buffy and 1000's of Slayers all coming to LA would be very obvious.

Maybe Willow could feel it and teleported them there. Don't kill the dream.

The army at the end is awesome. Unlike the ubies it's actually scary looking. The shot with the big demon is really badass. The moaning they all make is too freaky.

He did. When he went to get Eve that was pretty much confirmed, "He's not coming for you."

Okay, I'm forty minutes through and this episode has already been so sad. I shed a tear during the illyria/Wes stuff. Another during the Connor/Angel exchange (and I like Connor now). And everyone's just been stellar so far.

All-in-all, an amazing ending. I loved it, from start-to-finish, top-to-bottom.

It scares me that the series' [buffy & Angel combined] have only been on for eight seasons. Yet there's a ton of crap that's in the double-digits as far as seasons go..

*cough*Simpsons*cough*

The networks are just.. insane.

Now, I'm just sad. Sad it's gone. Sad they're gone. :(

I heard that Marsters wants to do a Spike-based spinoff

That would be cool. I wonder if the WB would pick it up, though.

Fuck them. Shop it to every network BUT the WB, I say.

The only one left is Conner and that could be a spin-off. But the rest of them, for all extensive purposes, are dead.

Joss & co. could easily write themselves out of that ending, or around it at least.

You know what pissed me off? During Smallville (which was insane) they kept showing previews for the "new" WB shows starting in the fall. What are these shows? Carbon fucking COPIES of Everwood (The Mountain) and Gilmore Girls/One tree hill (Greg and bobby or some retarded shit.)

I literally came way too close to throwing my remote through the tv screen. They cancelled the one of the greatest tv shows EVER for fucking CLONES of two shows they already have, that already suck!

And then that incredibly pretentious "Thank you" from the WB after Angel ended...

Fuck you, WB.

On the positive side, Holy fuck the finale kicked all kinds of ass. I cant really say anything that hasnt been said, so I'll say this.... Best. episode. ever.
