Anya 0 Report post Posted May 26, 2004 I never said Buffy being alone wasn't a big theme in the series, that was someone else. What I said was that giving the SITs powers was a weaksauce way to end it. And yes, a clear lack of direction is the #1 problem with season 7. The difference between 6 and 7 in that regard is staggering. And I don't argue just to argue. I argue because I feel really strongly about what I think of Buffy and I like talking about it, even with those who don't agree. What fun would it be if everyone agreed? I assumed you all liked discussing these things. I guess not. I actually haven't seen Angel season 4 yet. Meaning I haven't seen the Beast. Maybe I will hate him....... *cue dramatic music*

I'm pretty sure this is the last confrontation between the two.
BlackFlagg 0 Report post Posted May 26, 2004 And for the special features, watch disc three the Academy of Television thing. It is sooo phat, even though the host is dumb. "So Spike can't have sex like Angel?" Watching it right now, just got to that part and I think you may have heard her wrong. They started talking about how Spike was going to be getting his soul back for season 7<as this took placebefore season 7> and she asked "Is it going to be an Angel kind of thing where he can't have sex anymore?" Obviously wondering if Spike getting his soul back had similar loop-hole like Angel. But anyway, some good lines in this. "Some of my charecters don't wanna die, TUNE IN!" Guest reekspeak Report post Posted May 26, 2004 For example, how could you not see that the point of the series was that Buffy was always alone? They stressed that in one way or another in each season. I'll take this... Just because it's touched upon every season does not make it the main theme of the series, technically Buffy loving Angel would have been mentioned every season but no one would ever argue that their love was the point of the show. The main themes of Buffy was more about being strong or being a female than it was ever about being alone. Both of which were addressed when the Slayers in Training were "switched on". Guest Brian Report post Posted May 26, 2004 1764 - (York, England) Holtz is already on the hunt for Angellus and Darla, where they slay his family. 1767 - (Marseilles, France) In transit to Morocco while fleeing Holtz. Traveling with James, Darla, and Elizabeth. 1771 - (Rome) The monsignor assists Holtz in his capture and torture of Angellus before Darla arrives with reinforcements to bail him out. I'm pretty sure this is the last confrontation between the two. 1880 - (London) Dru turns Spike. Darla has left Angelus for the master. The three massacre a wedding. Spike finds Angel messing with Dru after telling him she was his "destiny". And the two fight, with Angel prevailing and giving the young'un a lesson. 1890 - Angellus is watching Jezel (ballet) by the Valiznikov troupe. I'm assumingthis is in St. Petersburg. 1894 - (Rome, Italy) - Being tied up with Spike so the Immortal can have a thrre-way. 1943 - (Atlantic Ocean) Angel is being used by the US government to help recover a captured sub.
