Guest Brian Posted August 7, 2004 Report Posted August 7, 2004 I totally disagree when it comes to Waiting in the Wings. IMO, it's one of the finest things to come from the Whedonverse. Beautifully filmed, and a really neat love story that encompasses both the love stories, alluding to Wes/Fred (esp. Billy) through the story of the company owner and the star dancer, really teasing and pulling on the viewer with teh two triangles, and turning a corner in terms of Wes' arc.

Anya Posted August 7, 2004 Report Posted August 7, 2004 Snyder hates kids in general. He seems to keep an eye on Buffy in particular for the Mayor.
RavishingRickRudo Posted August 7, 2004 Report Posted August 7, 2004 I watched WITW again a few months back and I couldn't get through it all. Summer in a Non-River role?? Does that seem right to you? I might have to buy the Season 3 DVD _just_ for "Billy".
Mole Posted August 7, 2004 Report Posted August 7, 2004 Nope, "WITW" doesn't do anything for me. I know Joss has a hard-on for it, but I don't like it at all. The only thing that I like about it are the villians, joker like fellas, they were fuckin scary.
Guest Brian Posted August 8, 2004 Report Posted August 8, 2004 Fred: "Well, that's a surprise. I thought for sure she was meant to be with Angel. I guess you never can predict those things. (Turns to look at Wesley) You know?" Wes, looking at her, after a beat: "No. I guess you never can." That to me, is the beauty of the episdoe, the unpredictability of love that the stage director tried to harness. It's what the whole episode is about.
Mole Posted August 8, 2004 Report Posted August 8, 2004 That episode did build up to season five's storyarc, but I still don't like it.
Guest Brian Posted August 8, 2004 Report Posted August 8, 2004 Eventually, I'll do a workrate report for that ep, and you will all EAT YOUR WORDS. WITW rules.
Guest Brian Posted August 10, 2004 Report Posted August 10, 2004 Can anyone help me download Apocalypse Nowish, since I've been unable to do so on Kazaa?
Ravenbomb Posted August 10, 2004 Report Posted August 10, 2004 If someone were (hypothetically) using The Wall album for an Angel music video, which season would be the best to use?
Jericholic82 Posted August 10, 2004 Report Posted August 10, 2004 I was just thinking? Did the principal know the mayor was an evil immortal being? Because he sure seemed surprised in the Graduation episode. Although that's a big markout moment for me (dummy was admonishing the giant sanke mayor for ruining the ceremony) anyways there already to the 2nd season 3 ep on fx problem for me now is I am watching too many reruns of both shows, that I'll never want to get the dvds except of the extras. Quote of the day from "Anne" (well not word for word but summerized) Cordy: So what do I do? Xander: Just stand there and act baity Cordy:and then what? Xander"then the vampires will come and kill and you and well all do the happy dance"
Tawren Posted August 10, 2004 Report Posted August 10, 2004 Snyder knew the Mayor knew of and was somewhat involved in the evil activity in Sunnydale, but I don't think he knew anything about what the Mayor was really up to.
Mole Posted August 10, 2004 Report Posted August 10, 2004 Eh, that was something that was left up in the air. In "Becoming Pt 2" Snyder calls the Mayor on his cell and tells him he has big news. But we never find out what this big news is. And in "Gingerbread," I THINK it is that episode, Snyder say something else about the Mayor, but I can't remember right now. They put something in the air that Snyder and the Mayor had something going on, but they never went through with it.
BlackFlagg Posted August 10, 2004 Report Posted August 10, 2004 I think the mayor put Snyder in as the principal to keep tabs on Buffy...knowing Snyder's extreme strictness he probably didn't have to tell him much other than say that she's some big troublemaker.
Anakin Flair Posted August 11, 2004 Report Posted August 11, 2004 The BIG NEWS was Buffy getting kicked out of school.
Tawren Posted August 11, 2004 Report Posted August 11, 2004 Watching Showtime right now on Space, it is really dawning on me how much I hate Kennedy. More annoying than Rona because she was treated like she meant something. Even Andrew should have been telling that bitch to shut her hole. In fact, I hate all the SIT's. I hate Andrew. I hate having no story arc for Xander. I hate the cop out ending of the season with the scythe and everyones a slayer. I hate Chosen the most. I hate beating a dead horse, but I hate season 7 so damn much. I've been on an Angel kick for the last week, watching season 2 and 3 of that. Nearly perfect, I love it. Wesley is probably my favorite character in the whole freaking Buffyverse.
Ravenbomb Posted August 12, 2004 Report Posted August 12, 2004 right now I'm thinking season 4 or 5 for the Angel: The Wall video. Season 4 comes out soon, but I don't know if that would work better than season 5. Or possibly first half could be season 4 and the second half could be season 5.

AnonymousBroccoli Posted August 12, 2004 Report Posted August 12, 2004 Dear Boy has some supreme mindfucking. The latter scene with Dru is awesomely twisted. I'm loving season 2 so far.
Mole Posted August 12, 2004 Report Posted August 12, 2004 Season 2 was great, but there is just something missing about it. What, I could never put my finger on it. But there is something...
Ravenbomb Posted August 12, 2004 Report Posted August 12, 2004 According to DVD Aficionado, Buffy season 7 comes out October 26th 2004
Tawren Posted August 13, 2004 Report Posted August 13, 2004 I just downloaded the unaired Buffy pilot. Hilarious stuff. The Willow in it is just horrible. When Xander asks for help with his math, she clearly forgets her line and needs to think for a few moments. Cordelia mentioned Dingoes Ate My Baby! Kick ass. I love this.
Mole Posted August 13, 2004 Report Posted August 13, 2004 According to DVD Aficionado, Buffy season 7 comes out October 26th 2004 I doubt that, they haven't even released the DVD artwork yet.
Ravenbomb Posted August 13, 2004 Report Posted August 13, 2004 *shrug* On the wish list thing it said Not Announced until recently, now it gives that date
Anya Posted August 13, 2004 Report Posted August 13, 2004 That's my birthday! The S6 dvd did say "october"....
Ravenbomb Posted August 13, 2004 Report Posted August 13, 2004 maybe they're keeping the cover art a surprise
