Anya Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 Yes. Who cares about the plot? The point is the songs. No ep of Angel has Xanya dancing in their underwear or any monster as cool as Sweet. But what's up with Buffy not hearing Giles' sing? In the other songs they obviously can understand each other.
Guest Brian Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 No monster as cool? Angel had the beast. End of story.
Anya Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 True, it is the end of story. Because Beast is the best angel has to offer and he's nothing compared to the coolness that is Sweet.
BlackFlagg Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 Whoa, Sean Astin directed Soulless? I was not aware of that...
Mole Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 Yes. Who cares about the plot? The point is the songs. No ep of Angel has Xanya dancing in their underwear or any monster as cool as Sweet. But what's up with Buffy not hearing Giles' sing? In the other songs they obviously can understand each other. No, the songs are the gimmick.
Guest Brian Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 True, it is the end of story. Because Beast is the best angel has to offer and he's nothing compared to the coolness that is Sweet. Rudo's head is going to explode over this one.
Guest Brian Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 I started the tournament up early: Big Buffyverse Tournament 128 Episodes Enter The Cage Only One Leaves Click Here
RavishingRickRudo Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 I decided long ago that reasoning with Anyanka is like riding a unicorn around a race track: you never get anywhere and there is no such fucking thing as either.
Guest Brian Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 I just watch "To Shanshu in LA" today. Man, that was great. Anyways, the big thing I noticed was that demon guy, the one that was doing all the dirty work. When Angel ripped his mask off, he had the exact same maggot-infested complexion as Jasmine.
Mole Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 I decided long ago that reasoning with Anyanka is like riding a unicorn around a race track: you never get anywhere and there is no such fucking thing as either. You said that with Pride.
Guest Brian Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 Man, TSILA is packed with tidbits. Voca: "As it was written they shall prepare the way and the very gate of hell shall open. That which is above shall tremble (earth trembles) for that which is below shall arise. And the world shall know the beast - and the beast shall know the world." And him talking all the time about cutting off Angel from the PTB (at the hands of Wolfram and Hart), which is what happened during Season 4 and 5. And now I'm more sure that Jasmine was not a Power. I'm ore sure of it now then ever. They just never had enough time to explore it.
Mole Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 But the beast they are talking about is Darla, not THE BEAST that we all love.
Guest Brian Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 I know. But still. So many parallels.
Anakin Flair Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 Speaking of THE BEAST, Apocalypse Nowish is on now.
Mole Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 I'm not a big fan of watching Angel on TNT because it is in full-screen. A LOT of the time, people are out of fram and it is really annoynig.
Guest Brian Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 Mole, pm me about the VCD costs for shiping and copying. And go vote people.
Anya Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 Ok, I changed my mind. Sweet isn't the best monster ever. Olaf is.
AnonymousBroccoli Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 A few corrections to the tourney thread: Grave is 6.22 The Trial is 2.09 I'm gonna have trouble remembering some of these episodes. I probably haven't seen most of Angel's last 3 seasons since they aired, and I only have Not Fade Away available. Some of the initial matchups are kind of unfortunate, too. Time Bomb really has no chance against Passion, but I really liked that episode. Ah well.
Guest Brian Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 Boone was a mutherfucker. He's my favorite.
Guest Brian Posted September 3, 2004 Report Posted September 3, 2004 And Sahjahn, how could I forget thee.
Mole Posted September 3, 2004 Report Posted September 3, 2004 I rented Alias first season, which is a really good show. Anyway, Gina Torres was in two episodes.
Anya Posted September 3, 2004 Report Posted September 3, 2004 I wish they'd put out a CD of music from Buffy. Not stupid emo bands at the bronz, but the real score. The music when Riley flies away in ITW is so awesome. What a great scene! One of my favorite moments ever.
Ravenbomb Posted September 3, 2004 Report Posted September 3, 2004 Please, that scene doesn't have NEARLY enough Anya in it to be any good
Anya Posted September 3, 2004 Report Posted September 3, 2004 No, actually it does. Inbetween Riley leaving there's the part where she is getting ready for bed and Xander comes in and tells her how much he loves her. That's some good Xanya action.
Youth N Asia Posted September 3, 2004 Report Posted September 3, 2004 Boone was very cool. And we got in our Angel season 4s today at Target. So I'll pick that up Tuesday
Guest Brian Posted September 3, 2004 Report Posted September 3, 2004 When I have time, I'm going to do a write-up of why I believe Jasmine is not a higher power, but rather a senior partner.
Anya Posted September 3, 2004 Report Posted September 3, 2004 Check it out, Fox is selling a Bringer's knife on Ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=2266812587 It's going for like 1,000 with a couple days left. Crazy... Beast is on TNT right now. It's Habeous Corpses. I miss Gavin.
Guest Brian Posted September 3, 2004 Report Posted September 3, 2004 If they sold spring loaded weapons, I'd bid on it.
Anya Posted September 3, 2004 Report Posted September 3, 2004 If I had 5,000 I'd have bought Anya's wedding dress.
