Mole Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 I really don't think Kennedy's goddess comment is supposed to be taken literally. Willow passes out right after the spell. They just say she's in the astral plane. Nonono. The whole point of Willow turning white was that she was a powerful witch and that she could use her powers for good. Ever since Willow started using witchcraft, it was said, many times, how powerful she was. She got TOO consumed with the magic and got addicted to it. She stopped and everything was good. Then good ol' Tara had to get shot, so she went all crazy. During season 7, she was too scared to use her magic because she thought she would go all evil again. However, she did the slayer spell, her powerfullness(not a word) didn't make her turn to the darkside; but the good side. She isn't a Goddess, but is a GOOD POWEFUL Wicca. And she didn't pass out, she just fell over because it felt that damn good. It probably felt like a HUGE orgrasm. Well, that is how I always looked at it.
Anya Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 Powerful, yeah, but that doesn't mean godlike or unbeatable. The point is she fell over after doing the big spell so it doesn't seem to be something she can do all the time in battle.
Jingus Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 She also didn't join in the battle afterwards or help out the rest of the Scoobies in any way after that, so I assumed the spell drained her batteries.
Anya Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 Yeah, she was out and didn't get up till Spike's amulet went off. Even afterwards she had to be helped walking to the crater.
SuperJerk Posted May 7, 2005 Report Posted May 7, 2005 Willow, at no point during the shows run, was ever hotter than Illyria. I dunno...Vampire Willow from season 3 was pretty goddamn hot.
Jingus Posted May 7, 2005 Report Posted May 7, 2005 Let's compromise: Willow and Ilyria were both damn hot because the actresses who played them were both damn hot, and after the hints that were dropped in "Orpheus" Whedon truly robbed us all by never having them do a lesbian sex scene together.
Mole Posted May 7, 2005 Report Posted May 7, 2005 Powerful, yeah, but that doesn't mean godlike or unbeatable. The point is she fell over after doing the big spell so it doesn't seem to be something she can do all the time in battle. Are you saying that Willow isn't powerful? Is that what we're arguing?
Anya Posted May 7, 2005 Report Posted May 7, 2005 I'm saying she isn't godlike powerful and wouldn't just immediatly crush all the others.
Guest Brian Posted May 10, 2005 Report Posted May 10, 2005 This thread is going to get the Classic Treatment soon, since it's pretty much died off, but I'll give us all a week to put in any last thoughts.
Jericholic82 Posted May 11, 2005 Report Posted May 11, 2005 This thread is going to get the Classic Treatment soon, since it's pretty much died off, but I'll give us all a week to put in any last thoughts. Wait, I have to get my war games story in.... Ill hurry it up for yas.
Anya Posted May 11, 2005 Report Posted May 11, 2005 Those pictures don't bother me as much anymore. I've seen it so many times I've become decensitized to it. I can watch that part of Chosen without freaking out. I still get mad though. Next week is the 2 year anniversary of Chosen and the 1 year anniversary of Not Fade Away. If this thread must close, it should be on one of those days.
Anya Posted May 12, 2005 Report Posted May 12, 2005 I'll never be over Buffy. I still watch it evry day.
SuperJerk Posted May 14, 2005 Report Posted May 14, 2005 Season 6 and 7's overall crappiness made the transition into Buffylessness easier. Angel...is another story.
LaParkaMarka Posted May 14, 2005 Report Posted May 14, 2005 Yep, I'm the same towards Buffy RobotJerk. Season 7 was such a disappointment, I didn't mind no Buffy as long as I had Angel. Lack of Angel still sucks, but they did end it well. And I'll have season 5 forever, which is good.
BlackFlagg Posted May 14, 2005 Report Posted May 14, 2005 heh, Harry Groener<Mayor Wilkins> from Buffy was in the two part series finale of Enterprise tonight.
SuperJerk Posted May 14, 2005 Report Posted May 14, 2005 Harry Groener was also on the 80's sitcom "Dear John" with Judd Hirsch. At least that's the first place I remember seeing him.
Ravenbomb Posted May 14, 2005 Report Posted May 14, 2005 I hated Angel ending when it did cause I was just getting back into it. But it did end on the best possible note, a claim not a lot of shows can make.
Jericholic82 Posted May 14, 2005 Report Posted May 14, 2005 nice pic robot anyhow I just read the paper review for monster-in-law and one actres sin the movie is mussetta vander, who played The bug lady Ms French in season 1 of buffy. yea this thread is dead, i'm mentioning mosters of the weeks
RavishingRickRudo Posted May 14, 2005 Report Posted May 14, 2005 I was watching an early Season 3 episode where we first meet skip (*checking* That Vision Thing) and GODDAMN if that isn't one of the most relevant episodes EVER. - Intro of Skip, who is tied in with Jasmine - Intro of Billy, who ends up greatly effecting the Gunn/Wes/Fred lo-tri. - Intro of Pregnant Darla, which ends up being Connor
Guest Brian Posted May 14, 2005 Report Posted May 14, 2005 And I love Angel throwing the pipe at the end. Angel + javelin = GOLD MEDAL
RavishingRickRudo Posted May 14, 2005 Report Posted May 14, 2005 Was that Kumar/Taj in the limo? Though "Billy" was a tremendous episode, they should have kept that guy longer. Such great build up in such a short amount of time.
Ravenbomb Posted May 14, 2005 Report Posted May 14, 2005 Yeah, that was Kumar in the limo We saw Darla, I thought, in Heartthrob
Guest Brian Posted May 14, 2005 Report Posted May 14, 2005 I thought Heartthrob ended with Angel finding out Buffy's alive.
RavishingRickRudo Posted May 14, 2005 Report Posted May 14, 2005 Do you find out that Darla is pregnant in Heartthrob?
