Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted September 24, 2003 Report Posted September 24, 2003 What the shit is that about someone must be cracked up on crackballs, why would they do such a horrendous injustice to Eddie like this? My gawd.
AndrewTS Posted September 24, 2003 Report Posted September 24, 2003 (edited) EDIT: compliments to the mods. The opponent is Big Show by the way. It's no big deal since Show is just going to be jobbing to Eddie. Edited September 24, 2003 by AndrewTS
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted September 24, 2003 Report Posted September 24, 2003 Don't fuck with my tag, it was there on Meltzer's site in clear day light. You people need to stop nit picking at the smallest things.
rising up out of the back seat-nuh Posted September 24, 2003 Report Posted September 24, 2003 Beating Big Show would give him a legitimate gripe with Vince's group, and therefore make him a front runner for a title match against Brock Lesnar. What better way to make him a credible main eventer than putting him up against the Smackdown ME heel stable?
Guest Anglesault Posted September 24, 2003 Report Posted September 24, 2003 At leastn Big Show is over, an upper card talent and can be entertaining. Benoit drew Albert.
rising up out of the back seat-nuh Posted September 24, 2003 Report Posted September 24, 2003 While Matt and Rhyno get no-one...
Guest RollingSambos Posted September 24, 2003 Report Posted September 24, 2003 Rhyno has been a jobber since he's returned anyway. It's going to take months to rebuild him...unlike Benoit, who can get over in one match. Rhyno isn't good enough to do that.
Guest Polish_Rifle Posted September 24, 2003 Report Posted September 24, 2003 And Matt Hardy was been rewarded after his CW reign with Velocity duty and has also been relegated to tag team duty with Shannon Moore.
Garth Posted September 24, 2003 Report Posted September 24, 2003 I actually wouldn't mind if they kept teaming Shannon and Matt as long as they can become a viable part of the tag team division, they always need more credible teams so why not.

I could take that if Matt & Shannon were pushed as a credible tag-team, the division needs a strong heel team to take over from TWGTT, but that hasn't happened yet. *sigh* those crazy Mc. Mahons...
BifEverchad Posted September 24, 2003 Report Posted September 24, 2003 I actually wouldn't mind if they kept teaming Shannon and Matt as long as they can become a viable part of the tag team division, they always need more credible teams so why not. Why?? Matt has been working as a tag wrestler his entire career. This is now his time to breakthrough as a major singles star. He has the tools, the character and all the right charisma. It's just the matter of giving him something to work with.
KTID Posted September 24, 2003 Report Posted September 24, 2003 What the fuck??? You've all been complaining for months that Eddie should be moved into the main event scene, and now he's put in a high profile PPV match against an OVER AND PERMANENT MAIN EVENTER and you still complain.

Even though he's jobbed to at least two jobbers this year, who used moves like a punch and a kick to put him away.
Guest Mulatto Heat Posted September 25, 2003 Report Posted September 25, 2003 Typical Anglesault, only looking at certain parts of a scenario while ignoring other things.
Just call me Dan Posted September 25, 2003 Report Posted September 25, 2003 I cannot wait for this match. I love both guys, and this clash of styles may end up really owning. If Show lays down, props to him, but i think you guys are assuming way too much. I don't know if vince is going to book Show to go down clean to a 5'8" Eddie Guerrero. This match may do NOTHING for Eddy but hurt him. I'm sure you all remember what happened to Rey after his Big Show feud.

Big Show is over? Big Show is a permanent Main Eventer? Boy, this time last year he was jobbing to Spike Dudley. Get yo shit togetha, son.
Guest Ray Posted September 25, 2003 Report Posted September 25, 2003 I actually would like to see Guerrero vs Big Show, as long as Guerrero isn't dominated by Show and as long as he wins. It could be interesting, and Show jobbing clean (or somewhat clean) could really help Eddie's push to the main event. Eddie beats Show at No Mercy, then maybe he'll face Lesnar at Survivor Series...for the title~!

He's really the best available option for Eddy right now. Oh though, I'd still do Brock/Eddy and Taker/Angle oer Brock/Taker, Angle/Cena, Eddy/Big Show

We also know of WWE's bad habit of putting heatless slugs over smaller guys getting huge reactions, because they have this bullshit idea that they can transfer heat that way. However, it just causes the loser to lose heat and does nothing for the winner. On the other hand, Vince will push anyone he thinks will make him lots of money. As huge over as Eddy is, maybe it will hit him like someone putting on a dollar-bill-shaped ring on and punching him in the face to realize it, but when you have something hot, you should try to run with it--not run it into the ground.

Of course, with Eddy's character, cheating his ass off to win might atually help him.
Guest Trivia247 Posted September 25, 2003 Report Posted September 25, 2003 Big Show will always get the Giant advantage in his positioning and they been pushing him correctly. he doesn't have to be the World champ to keep his push
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted September 25, 2003 Report Posted September 25, 2003 Fuck... ? What happen to John Cena... I thought he would be given a chance to run with the Belt for sure.

Guest Anglesault Posted September 25, 2003 Report Posted September 25, 2003 Fuck... ? What happen to John Cena... I thought he would be given a chance to run with the Belt for sure. He gets to have a really, really bad comedy midcard feud with Angle! One or both will go shooting down the card after this mess! Aren't you excited?

I'd say they BOTH got over because of that feud. blessing in disguise if you ask me. By Judgement Day, I was eating that feud up amidst a lot of complaining.

Show beating Brock originally led to the face turn--threatening Heyman and crew while impressing the hell out of fans with your power the way Brock did will get ya pops. I was thinking more of the cases of jobbing Rey to Show, jobbing Bookdust to 3MW, jobbing Storm to Henry when Storm is finally starting to get over, RVD/Kane jobbing to JR's Favorite Tag Team waay back, La Resistance's big push, and so forth.
dubq Posted September 25, 2003 Report Posted September 25, 2003 While Matt and Rhyno get no-one... I agree that Matt deserves more than what he's getting. But Rhyno? Rhyno just bores the hell out of me. Take him out of the ECW/hardcore environment and he's totally exposed.
Guest Choken One Posted September 25, 2003 Report Posted September 25, 2003 Unless Rock is in his usual glorious oversell mode...but other than that...no one makes rhyno look decent in any non hardcore environment and that's pushing it... His two best matches were against Rock and Raven...Argueably, the two best pyschological crowd controling performers in the last decade.. TBS has been a ME for a full year now, been a very effective heel and is having his Flair 1989 run with amazing effort. I really think Eddy/Show will be a pretty entertaining match that will serve to the MARKS as opposed to us picky finicky fucks here who would take Eddy/Benoit in a heartbeat. Don't forget the MERE possibility that Eddy will be forced to perform double duty that night...which makes me wonder...Does eddy get TWO ppv payments? doubt it but It would be sneaky for his character to sign one contract as Eddie Guerrero and the other Eddy...so that way he gets TWO payments...
Just call me Dan Posted September 25, 2003 Report Posted September 25, 2003 Don't know about the two payments. I'd say he beats Show, but loses the tag titles, meaning he will then feud with Chavo. Problem is he will lose at SS and then be relegated to a feud with Chavo.
