Guest Choken One Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 I dont remember Giambi being bad at first in Oakland...what changed?
HarleyQuinn Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 I don't remember Giambi being bad at 1st with the Yanks either...
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 just that it's been quite a while since he played first in a game
Sandman9000 Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 And a 1-2-3 inning. 3 runs and 3 innings too late.
Guest Choken One Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 I guess they figured Johnson is a better fielder and Giambi was really brought for his bat and draw power... Wasn't Johnson initally a 3rd baseman? Why bother at all with Boone and keep Johnson there and put Sierra in DH...
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 I guess they figured Johnson is a better fielder and Giambi was really brought for his bat and draw power... Wasn't Johnson initally a 3rd baseman? Why bother at all with Boone and keep Johnson there and put Sierra in DH... Johnson is a lefty...he wouldn't have ever played 3rd.
Sandman9000 Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 C'mon Yanks, just 17 more pop-ups to put me out of my misery.
Guest Choken One Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 Pedro looking good, knowing damn well this is his defining moment...
Bruiser Chong Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 Man, the Yankees looks like crap so far tonight. Maybe we will get that Red Sox/Marlins WS.
Sandman9000 Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 Beautiful. On a related note, someone came in during the last half inning and removed all of the scissors from my immediate vicinity.
Bruiser Chong Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 The way Pedro's pitching and the Sox are hitting, it's getting late early already.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 Mussina's up. I thought they were bringing Wells out of the pen today?
Guest Choken One Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 Bill Simmons must be in heaven right now or in frantic fear...usually it's the same thing.
Cartman Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 I'm still not convinced yet... Go Red Sox!
Guest Choken One Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 Mussina's up. I thought they were bringing Wells out of the pen today? they are using anyone and everybody... I expect pedro to finish 7 and let Wakefield finish the game. Which means Lowe can start game one if they win...
Sandman9000 Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 Thanks for nothing Roger. Clean our your locker and DON'T COME BACK.
NYU Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 One can only hope this is the last time we see that headhunting asshole pitch again.
Bruiser Chong Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 Thanks for nothing Roger. Clean our your locker and DON'T COME BACK. Ah, gotta love that loyalty. The man pitches great for 20 years, including several for the Yankees and in his last performance, he performs poorly, which in your mind cancels out everything he's done for the team in the past. If it weren't for his performance in game 3, we wouldn't even be playing this game right now, the Sox would be resting for Saturday night.
Sandman9000 Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 So let's put in the person who has won NONE and lost ALL of his postseason starts this year! How many runs can the Sox score in the 4th? 10? 20? 50?
MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 C'mon Mussina, give up about 5 more runs!
Cartman Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 One note... I feel bad for Roger right there in a way. I mean that look on his face was just...disheartening. I always likeed Roger even if I was bitter when he first left Boston and went to NY eventually. His eyes just shot open...looked like he was shaking...I really feel sorry for the guy. BUT. Go Red Sox!
Cartman Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 ...and Moose just performed CPR on the Yankees and their fans...it's not even CLOSE to being over yet boys and girls.
