Mik Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 Holy crap, Looper is looking impressive tonight
Guest Bobby Cox is God Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 YES! What a fucking game.
Guest Choken One Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 Hoowah. Â This is just game one folks...
Bruiser Chong Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 Bwahahahahahahahaha! Dude, you're like two days late there. The Braves got eliminated on Sunday.
Guest Bobby Cox is God Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 Dude, you're like two days late there. The Braves got eliminated on Sunday. Â For some reason I thought that was funny as hell.
Big McLargeHuge Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 The Marlins are pure evil. Â Having said that, they're my pick to win it all this year.
CanadianChris Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 So what's the rotation for the Cubs? I know Prior pitches tonight...I'm assuming Wood on Friday, so that would mean Clement on Saturday and Zambrano on Sunday, leaving Prior and Wood for games 6 and 7. Â So that means the Marlins would have to beat Prior and/or Wood at least once to win this series. Tricky proposition.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 as far as I know that's the rotation Chris.
Guest Choken One Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 what game does Willis start? 3? Â Wood/Willis? Holy shit.
Bruiser Chong Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 Not to rain on any parades, but IIRC, the last time Willis started against the Cubs, they promptly drove him out of the game, which was pretty impressive, since it was during his little stretch where no one could hit him. For some reason, I don't see either team ever getting a clear-cut advantage, much like in the Braves/Cubs series.
Guest Bobby Cox is God Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 I don't think the Marlins will win tonight, but I think they may beat Wood.
Mik Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 About 23 minutes way to the 8:18 opening pitch (if it's the same as yesterday). Let me just say this...if the Marlins beat Prior in Wrigley tonight...well that's not so good for Cub fans.
tpww7 Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 Lets see if this TV scheduling thing gets fucked up or not.
Mik Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 Worked good for me. Yanks on Fox, Marlins on FX.
KingPK Posted October 9, 2003 Author Report Posted October 9, 2003 Why does FOX INSIST on not starting games at or around 8:00? If you want a pregame show, start at 7:45 or something.
tpww7 Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 Dont know but I've seen enough hype on ESPN all day..
MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 I got both games too..both on FX and both on FOX.. Â ALT Feeds rule or something
Bruiser Chong Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 That bothers me too, Kingpk. It took me a couple games into the first round for me to realize that they never started close to 8:00. I don't expect them to start at 8 on the button, but some opening words and it should be game time. Otherwise, advertise the first 15 minutes being a pre-game show and SAY you're gonna start the game at 8:15.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 was that an intentional walk or one of those unintentional intentional walks to Sosa?
Bruiser Chong Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 If this weren't the Cubs, I think the bags full would be a good thing. Prove me wrong, Randall.
The Czech Republic Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 Not to rain on any parades, but IIRC, the last time Willis started against the Cubs, they promptly drove him out of the game, which was pretty impressive, since it was during his little stretch where no one could hit him. For some reason, I don't see either team ever getting a clear-cut advantage, much like in the Braves/Cubs series. I remember that game on channel 9...that was what, 4th, 5th inning he was out of the game? Nice work it was
iliketurtles Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 So you have to watch Cubs/Marlins on FX? I was getting confused and I thought they said something about watching them at the same time.
