MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 I hate the Yankees more than the Red Sox.
The Czech Republic Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 Third inning! That's equal/better than what we did to Dontrelle this season
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 hey at least they don't have the Astros announcer WOOOoooaAAHHwooOOOAaahHHWooooAAAhhH!
Mik Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 The Cubs will end up exactly like Eh Steve. They will get what they deserve.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 The Cubs will end up exactly like Eh Steve. They will get what they deserve. Pitching wins. Cubs have better pitching. Thats all I'll say.
Guest Ghettoman Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 I never understood 'hating' a team. I mean when your a Yankee fan there's not a whole lot of teams spoiling the fun, but I just don't understand why someone would harbor such ill feeling towards a sports team.
iliketurtles Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 Hell yeah, mother fucker~! Ortiz KILLED that one.
Guest Ghettoman Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 People though, no problem with that. Ortiz is a douche bag through and through....
Cartman Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 ORTIZ! 1st ever hit off Moose = 3rd deck right field bomb! 2-0 Boston
Guest Bobby Cox is God Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 Pitching doesn't always win, I'm a Braves fan trust me. Look at the sig and you need no more proof.

Jeffrey Meier Mike Mussina The Yankees Fans at Oriole Park outnumber the Os fans..
The Czech Republic Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 The Cubs will end up exactly like Eh Steve. They will get what they deserve. That makes the Marlins the wheelchair...crippled.
CanadianChris Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 Clemens/Pedro is going to be AMAZING. It's the matchup I'd never thought I see again. EVER. And, with any luck, we'll get the same result.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 Pitching doesn't always win, I'm a Braves fan trust me. Look at the sig and you need no more proof. But Braves pitching never came through in the clutch....they are what I call "chokers".
MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 7-0 Cubs The Bears (a bigger cub) are beating the Dolphins (a bigger sea creature) 7-0.
iliketurtles Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 Fox needs to shut the hell up and get their ass out of their heads. So the guys are showing emotion, big fucking deal.
Guest Bobby Cox is God Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 But you said pitching always wins....make up your mind.
CanadianChris Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 Pitching doesn't always win, I'm a Braves fan trust me. Look at the sig and you need no more proof. Cubs pitching > Braves pitching And in past years, the Braves' Achilles heel has ALWAYS been their bullpen, not their starters.
The Czech Republic Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 Fox needs to shut the hell up and get their ass out of their heads. Yeah if they didn't have that cool theme music they'd be the suckiest sucks to ever suck when it comes to coverage
Guest Bobby Cox is God Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 (edited) BTW Postseason numbers for Braves pitchers: Maddux: 11-13 3.29 ERA....2-3 2.09 in WS play Glavine: 12-10 3.44 ERA ....1-4 2.16 in WS play Smoltz: 12-9 2.72...1-4 2.49 ERA Those are good numbers, and none of the ERAs are high. The hitting screwed the Braves....not the pitchers. And to say the Cubs pitchers are better than the Braves pitchers is pure ignorance. Just pure ignorance. They've been around for 2 years. When they dominate for eleven years then we'll talk. Edited October 9, 2003 by Bobby Cox is God
MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 I think you can put this one away for the Cubs. I know its early but still.. Im guessing the Cubs fans will trek down to Miami for game 3 just like they did in the NLDS at Atlanta.
Bruiser Chong Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 Even at 8-0, I'm still not resting easy. It's great to watch, but after watching the Marlins hit all postseason, I don't trust any lead. This is certainly refreshing to watch though, as the Cubs rarely break out the lumber and if they do, the other team's usually doing the same.
Downhome Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 I just now turned the game on. Good lord.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 I just now turned the game on. Good lord. "if you're just tuning in now, where the hell have you been?" or "if you're just tuning in now, shame on you.."
Guest Choken One Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 Getting The Cubs game on Fox is great since I can't make myself care for Yankees/Sox at this moment...FX is buried somewhere in the 40's and I don't care to look for it...
CanadianChris Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 And to say the Cubs pitchers are better than the Braves pitchers is pure ignorance. Just pure ignorance. They've been around for 2 years. When they dominate for eleven years then we'll talk. Who was talking about 11 years? They were better this year, and that's why the Cubs won this year.
