Tony149 Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 Hey, at the very least the Marlins are a fun team to watch. Sure, they aren't a great story, but I don't see where ALL the hate is coming from. I have to agree with that statement. Then again, maybe because I was rooting for the Braves, Cubs & Marlins, I don't really feel as much pain seeing them lose. The teams I wanted to see win all had to beat each other. The Cubs fucked themselves. They had 3 shots at getting the done job and they couldn't. They still have 3 outs to play with so maybe they'll pull off a comeback.
treble Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 Hey, at the very least the Marlins are a fun team to watch. Sure, they aren't a great story, but I don't see where ALL the hate is coming from. I've said this once and I'll say it again, you'd ALL be cheering the Marlins if they were playing the Braves. Well, you know where my hate comes from, but 99% of the time, I wouldn't mind a team like the Marlins playing well. I just can't bring myself to cheer for them. If they were playing the Braves, I wouldn't be cheering for either team.
Guest Choken One Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 And FOX executives are currently tightening nooses in offices all across the country as we speak. They are still glad they got at least One big market to get SOME ratings...
Guest Choken One Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 now fox is selling the sox/marlin backstory
iliketurtles Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 LOL...I like how the announcers aren't talking about the possibility of a Marlins/Yankee Series.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 Urbina's coming in for the 9th..
Mik Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 Hmmm...good that Lee got a double but I'm anxious to get to the bottom of the 9th!
Guest Frank The Tank Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 i think the cubs would be nothing without baker because if baker would of coached another team the cubs would not be in the playoffs so even if they lose i cant diss baker
MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 Double for Lee. Looking for that important insurance run..
Guest Choken One Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 go ahead and throw a couple more logs in the fire...
A Happy Medium Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 and I need to work on my midterm project tonite... next year will be a 1999 for the Cubs..Zambrano will fuck up his elbow, and then Alou will be injuried all year, along with a subpar return for Patterson, who will bat .220. I'm just overreacting.

It's not that I HATE the Marlins, I just don't get into their games as much as I would for a Cubs/Sox game or even a Cubs/Yankees game. Of course, if I was living in Florida myself, that would all change. And damn, I'd be cheering the Detroit freaking Tigers if they were playing the Braves.
Guest Choken One Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 i think the cubs would be nothing without baker because if baker would of coached another team the cubs would not be in the playoffs so even if they lose i cant diss baker he still can't manage team in the post season tho
Guest Frank The Tank Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 i know but i still have to give him props
Guest Choken One Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 A Nation falls upon it's knees in prayer
A Happy Medium Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 When/if the Cubs lose, you will see 50,000 people stand still.
CanadianChris Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 Bartman's life as he knows it is over.
iliketurtles Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 Cubs have to go for 3 runs and not for the win. They need to just tie it, get in extra innings, and get Sosa and Alou back up. But it's easier to just say get the 3 runs then actually doing it. You can't say it's over yet, but they've got quite a job to do.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 someone should sneak a goat into a bar.
tpww7 Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 I wonder what happens to all of the NL Champion Cubs shirts that were at Wrigley last night...
Guest Choken One Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 When/if the Cubs lose, you will see 50,000 people stand still. stand still? I don't think it will be stillness...Better call in the SWAT team
The Mandarin Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 It seems that the O.C. is the only one coming back.. OH, SNAP.
Guest Dmann2000 Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 Look in those eyes...the Cubs are dead
Guest Frank The Tank Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 9-6 we cant still pull this off
