Was the Ladder Match any good?

Recommended Posts

It wasn't a match, just a spotfest. So if you like seeing two people trying to kill themselves with a ladder, it's for you. If you were actually expecting a good match, it wasn't there. Too slow, and the spots, while cool-looking, just didn't have any psychology to them.

What the hell are you expecting from a ladder match ? Owen/Bret from WM X quality ? I mean, come on now. Stop with the fucking pickiness and just enjoy the match for what it was. An entertaining ladder match where both men continued to hurt themselves for the enjoyment of the fans. Stop with the god damn psychology, please. It's a ladder match !! Jesus Christ !

Don't criticize a match for being bad. Praise it because it was what it was?

I bet the people behind "Gigli" wish critics used that mentality.

It wasn't a terribly good spotfest.

In the pantheon of ladder matches, it was down with Jeff Hardy v UT.

Jeez, this is like the third topic now we've been arguing.

Where did I say that ? I said it was a highly entertaining match that should be appreciated for what it was. It wasn't a mat classic, as ladder matches almost always aren't. Read my post again, my friend.

Ah, biased, biased, biased. As always. Edge vs. Christian was better ? I don't think so....RVD vs. Jeff Hardy on a Raw last year wasn't as good as this. And Hardy vs. Undertaker just sucked, so there's no comparing the two at all. Just on the virtue of UT/Hardy being a squash, and RVD/Christian being a see-saw battle with both men getting the advantage. And let's never forget that ultra-famous Goldberg vs. Scott Hall Souled Out Ladder Match years ago.

But hey, overexaggerate your point. Seems to help, no ?

***. A good match with some fun spots, a little slow.

I second this. Christian falling off of one ladder and landing on the second one was really sick. His head looked like a ping-pong ball when he hit that. It wasn't a great match but it was entertaining enough.
