Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 I'm not feelin' the Audioslave love. While they remain better than most other stuff out right now, I think it incorporates the worst of the two original bands. It's wearin' thin on me with being overplayed on the radio, too.
Guest Choken One Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 I'm digging the Audioslave stuff as it's not really trying to be creative but just fun LIVE music, and the album is just plain fun to listen to in the car with like 5 Highway Grooves...
snuffbox Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 Neil Young's entire Greendale album, AFI - The Leaving Song Eagles - Hole in the World APC - Weak and Powerless Dave Matthews - Im So Lucky 7Dust - Enemy David Bowie - Everything Ive heard off his new cd, 'Reality'
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 It still strikes me as a bland rock album. They need to continue moving in a different direction with their next release, and shed the whole "thrown together supergroup" image they've got. Morello also needs to do some straight-up soloing, which he's good at, without clogging it up with putting the cable jack betwixt his buttocks, while tapping the tuning pegs with an allen wrench, or whatever he does.
PLAGIARISM! Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 Obviously my sparks and residents obsessions continue to grow, but as for current music I'm digging Turbonegro, The Locust and yes, The Darkness. I like them, dammit.

PLAGIARISM! Posted October 4, 2003 Report Posted October 4, 2003 Oh my God, I've just discovered a Sparks cover of 'I wanna hold your hand' and it shits on the original, seriously.
Cran Da Maniac Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 My friend has really turned me on to this group called Portishead, so lately I've been grabbing what I can of them. And there's this other song called Firefly Night. Anybody know who sings it? It's really good
Anakin Flair Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 "Even in Death and "Anywhere" by Evanescence, from Origin. Incidently, if anybody can tell be where I can get an original copy of Origin, without spending $200+ on ebay, I'd be most apreciative.
Just call me Dan Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 Godsmack's Serenity is an odd choice, but it sounds quite cool to me these days. I've been listening to it frequently.
