Ok, here's the choices. So, who do you think is the Best WWE Cruiserweight of 2003? You can support your answer with reasons, and/or favorite or best matches.

Just curious. VOTE away!

I voted for Rey...but I couldn't tell you why.

Cruisers weren't used very effectively this year...were they?

No, not at all. That's why I decided to ask the question.

I picked Rey as well.

Rey's the only one on the list who's been made to look relatively strong throughout the year. No one other than Matt (who isn't even a Cruiser) did anything of note.

What about Tajiri? Tag Team Title run, wins over guys like Rhyno, and now another Cruiser Title reign.

I stand by the original statement. His Tag Title run with Eddie seemed more like a fluke or joke than anything else (to me anyway), and a win over Rhyno isn't saying too much these days. I'll wait and see how his CW reign goes before I make a judgment on it.

No, but it was still better than normal. At least we know who the champion is, unlike the days of Dwayne Gill, Essa Rios & X-Suck.

I voted for Rey too, but more for what he has done outside the division. Number two is Matt Hardy, who has really impressed me, but can't seem to get the pushes that Rey does.

My vote is for Jamie Noble. Not because of 2003 though. I love(d) when he would cut promo's talking about his "Ni-dee-uh." His run with the CW title was great.

I don't get Smackdown, so I haven't got to see much this year. It seems that Kidman has gotten a lot bigger though. His new look impresses me.

I don't like high flying matches as much because spots get blown too easily. That's why I'm not high on Amazing Red, Rey Misterio or Rob Van Dam.

I kept thinking that Nidia was going to just leave and follow whoever had the belt. Turn her into a white trash gold digger.

It never happened.

Then that inheritance crap went down...and I thought it would come out ok. Then, it just stopped.

Ok. We also had Nuzio coming in as Noble's cousin. Then, it just stopped.

What shit.

Rey Mysterio, simply for the quality of the matchs he's been in this year, my favorite being the tag titles match from Vengeance.

Of course I got love for Rey, but I've always been more of a fan of Ultimo Dragon, even if he is being treated like crap.

But Rey hardly blows spots. You shouldn't even lump him in the same category as Red.

I love Rey and voted for him, but really wanted to vote for Noble. He is, without a doubt, the most underutilized talent in WWE. WHen he got the inheritance angle, I was really excited, because I thought that meant a push. Instead, it led to a tag team with Billy Gunn. For shame.

I agree here. Jamie Knoble is the most underutilized ring talent in the WWE.

Since I'm not allowed to include Eddie it's got to be either Rey Jr. or Tajiri. Kind of close here as they've both been involved in some stellar bouts this year but I'll go with Rey.

I went with Rey Rey as I felt he put out the best matches over the course of 03.....

Rey and Tajiri have been the best cruisers this yea that have been booked even close to properly. Ultimo would be up there if he had more than like 3 matches on Smackdown. However, I must say that I think Rey's been screwing up the West Cost Pop lately. It looks like he's planting people's heads into the mat, and it looks really dangerous. I think Matt got a concussion from one. SO while he's the best cruiser, he'd better stop being so sloppy, otherwise someone's gonna get killed out there.

No contest, I went with the Sensai of Mattitude. He's just been stellar the whole year.

Someone mentioned that cruiserweights weren't used very effectively this year. Why would it be different from the last three years? The CW division has always been complained about, ever since WCW's went the tube (1999 or 2000).

I personally think Smackdown's division has been pretty good this year. I would have preferred more Matt Hardy title defenses, but what are y' gonna do?

Where's Kanyon and Hurricane on that list? Just wondering.

Well considering that Kanyon's TV time has been non existant. Also, Hurricane isn't even on the SD roster to become a cruiser.

I think Hurricane did wrestle in the cruiser division before he went to the purgatory known as Raw

That's more the guy taking the move, since it's on him to jump & flip w/ the move. Rey is more or less along for the ride.

Kanyon's too big to be a classified cruiser. I wouldn't really classify Hardy one, either.
