Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2003 Is there a way to find out which team has top billing in the waiver request thing? I've got least billing. Gwana Tiger has first.

Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2003 Ah, my team is good to go. I am allowed to start stocking my empty spots with random fools, correct? Uh... If you have any... Yes... But I don't think you are supposed to have any.

Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2003 Go for balanced guys. You've got the REBs up there. Get some balanced players like Voshon Lenard or Morris Petterson or Alvin Williams. People who have decent stats all over. That way, you cover everything... Drugs kicked in, so I'm out like a light now. Nighty bed.
Agent_Bond34 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2003 Might have to see if I can pick one of those guys up some how, most likely via trade since I know they were all drafted. By the way, why aren't the players for our league showing up on our team pages?
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2003 Package Ratliff with Bibby or Miller. Trade to a guy who needs a center. Get a good rebounding forward. Maybe be able to steal Kirilenko from someone if they really need a center. He will help you in everything.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2003 Bowen, Bruce (SF-SA) SF get rid of him as soon as possible as the guy is nothing but a defense threat and will not put up any stats worth anything. His 3 pointers are streaky at best and inconsistent.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2003 Am I supposed to post my trade proposals here? I proposed it at Yahoo last night, I wasn't sure if I was supposed to announce it here or not.
Dangerous A 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2003 I rejected your trade, Alfdogg. Not gonna work for me. You've got to give something to get something. I see you are trying to give me Bobby Jackson and Michael Finley for Steve Francis and Mike Miller. You are gonna have to sweeten that deal up. Jackson doesn't even start and averages about 12-13 ppg off the bench while Finley's numbers will go down now that the Mavs have too many gunners. In return you are asking me for Francis, the top guard on Houston and their best stat guy and Miller, the number one option at the guard spot in Memphis. No way. Throw me a better proposal with Zach Randolph or something and we'll talk.
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2003 Might have to see if I can pick one of those guys up some how, most likely via trade since I know they were all drafted. By the way, why aren't the players for our league showing up on our team pages? They show up on the 21st, when we'd have a chance to actually you know have them. Because no one who does a draft can get their players going on the day of the draft. You know that. Am I supposed to post my trade proposals here? I proposed it at Yahoo last night, I wasn't sure if I was supposed to announce it here or not. Post it here alf. You'll get a better chance of everyone seeing it and you might even get an offer that turns out better than the one you are trying to get done. Besides, most people look here before there, so always submit here. *reads Dangerous A's post regarding the trade* Ugh, Alf, what were you thinking? That's a pretty awful trade. Everyone remember, it's NOT just about the PTS here. You need to play ALL stat categories to get wins/loses (maybe ties, I doubt we'll have them, but you'll never know). Some of these trades make no sense. Try making deals that effect everything and are near what the other person can afford. It'll make more sense in the end. Oh and Raza, I asked if you wanted to trade Girick for Williams. I'm still waiting approval but I'm willing to trade Williams once I have him. It's a big improvement overall for you. But hey, I can always make a deal with Harley. Oh and Harley, speaking of deals. You want Voshon Lenard right? I'll make an opening offer of him for Troy Murphy. That's if you guys want some guards of course. Oh, and if anyone wants to send a deal for a good center my way for one of my many guards, I'm willing to listen. razazteca 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2003 I think I will keep Giricek for his 3 point stats now, unless I get a great deal for a guard.
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2003 I think I will keep Giricek for his 3 point stats now, unless I get a great deal for a guard. Raza, I'm giving you a trade that if you look at the rest of the stats, I'm increasing them for you. Only 3PT is a loss... *sighs* Oh well. Guess I can't please everyone. Whatever, I'll wait on Harley's response.
HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2003 Sorry Flik but I'll pass on Murphy for Lenard...Lenard mainly gives me points(not as much as Murphy could probably give me) and I like Murphy too much to trade him. Also I'm likely picking up a G/F who could help me out in double/doubles(boards & points) if the starter gets injured. Also losing Murphy for Lenard would cause me to drop considerably in rebounds while not gaining much in the way of assists.
HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2003 How about this Flik... F/C Nene Hilario(839 points, 491 rebounds, 149 assists, 127 steals, 65 blocks) FOR G/F Desmond Mason(1,147 points, 523 rebounds, 163 assists, 67 steals, 32 blocks) Pro's for Gotham Harlequins: Much needed scorer, capable rebounder, a little better assist wise. Helps me upgrade a ton over Shane Battier, possibly using Battier in the Utility spot(Where Nene currently is) Pro's for Crimson Storm: Helps you out big on steals and upgrades you at blocks, (similar to Grant on points and upgrades with assists, steals and blocks)
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2003 Sorry was thinking on it. Make me the offer in Yahoo. I'll boil over it for a few moments, but I think you'll have Mason for tomorrow.

Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2003 Trade offered Pending till Oct 24th to go through. Enjoy Mason. With that done, I don't think I'll be trading Voshon or Alvin now. Not unless something good comes along.

Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2003 and watch them all lose as I finish 1st...you 2nd of course Actually, that would be funny. If we finished that way overall, and then for the championship. Then everyone will cry "you rigged it".
HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2003 Tons of pick-ups, Harlequins managed to nab PF Lonny Baxter who has had a very productive pre-season. Also with the acquisition of Mason, it allowed me the chance to get rid of Banks who isn't a proven commodity(I'd rather see Mike James start myself for the C's)
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2003 Another Trade on the block. Crimson Storm is trading Jamison for Pocono's Carter. Start debate about "why the fuck he do that". ...or not. Just know that's another trade that's up.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2003 Jamison 4 Vince Carter? a trade with alot of risk.
HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2003 Vince is capable of as many/more points then Jamison and Jamison's likely to come off the bench for Walker. Also Carter is better at assists and possible rebounds. Career Numbers.. Vince = 5.4 RPG, 3.7 APG, 1.08 BPG, 1.36 SPG, 24.1 PPG Antawn = 7.50 RPG, 1.8 APG, .44 BPG, .98 SPG, 20.2 PPG Vince is the superior player just judging from career stats...risky yes but possibly far more rewarding if healthy

This IS assuming Vince is healthy. And assuming that Jamison doesn't take a hell of a dive in stats. It's a straight up trade really otherwise. As long as everything holds true. HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2003 I think Jamison may take a nice dive in PPG & RPG since he'll have to battle with Nowitzki, Nash, Finley, Walker, Delk, Najera, etc. for not only just playing time but the ball as well
