Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2004 I still have to go thru Cartman's Celtics to win it. Not every thing works as planned. At least it is better than me. And actually, I'm profitting a lot more from some trades than I have rights to be. So I'll probably make a mad dash for the Top 6 and fall short like I did in the NFL league. razazteca 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2004 I was lucky enough to trade my injuried for some bench warmers, I feel kind of bad that I Grant and Lenard are not doing anything now.

razazteca 0 Report post Posted February 3, 2004 Actually points is half of the game. FG, FT, 3s, total points.
Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted February 3, 2004 Dear God, Amare Stoudemire has established base camp on the injured list. I'm almost convinced his ankle has AIDS at this point.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted February 3, 2004 Dump him and get somebody healthy!
Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted February 3, 2004 If I dump Amare Stoudemire, someone will immediately pick him up, his ankle will heal completely, he'll grow another foot, develop a three point shot and lead the Suns to the NBA championship. Anyways, when he's playing, he's been great for me, The Suns just won't stick his broken ass on the injured list so I'm stuck with trying to decide who will fill the void better, Dikembe Mutumbo or Stromile Swift. Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted February 3, 2004 Does anyone know if Wally Szczerbiak will be coming back from injury at any point this season? I figured i'd stash him on the IL in case he comes back, even with the Wolves pretty loaded lineup he should still be a decent contributor, and an upgrade over my usual bench players. And with Van Exel back i've dumped Speedy Claxton, as good as he's been lately i figured Arroyo would be a safer play, his numbers have picked back up anyway. Should the tumored Van Exel trade go though i'd pick Claxton back up immediately. I think this also marks at least the third time i've had Arroyo on my team. alfdogg 0 Report post Posted February 3, 2004 I wanted to pick up Szczerbizak when he was dumped, but I was worried moreso about when he *does* come back how big of a chunk will be taken from his stats with Spree and Cassell there now. Plus, I couldn't afford to lose McKie's threes at the time, but finally dumped him for Charlie Ward today. This also now gives me three point guards, so if someone wants one, feel free to offer a trade. I'd prefer a center in return, but I'll listen to whatever. Why can't Randolph or Gasol be played at center? Gasol is 7 foot and has played center or at least guarded a lot of centers in the past, and Randolph I think has started the last few games at center as well. Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted February 3, 2004 you know points are only one category right? <---- indicates sarcasm And if you check the score, I'm 4-3-1 out of 8 categories.
Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted February 5, 2004 Well Dear God, they found a cure for cancer. Amare Stoudemire finally got his ass back in the line up.
Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2004 So far i'm looking good in my matchup. The only category that i wasn't either winning or close in was three pointers, and Quentin Richardson, god bless him, goes and throws up EIGHT of them, from only 11 shots too. Two from Stack and 1 from Derek Anderson also help matters greatly. I also think it says something when Kevin Garnett has a bad game, yet still gives me 17 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Half my players won't do that in their BEST game.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2004 Looks like I started the wrong Williams, eh. Eric did nothing in the lst half of the game then in the 2nd he score 17 points with majority of it from the line.
Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted February 5, 2004 Yeah, I remembered that you had Eric Williams and while watching the game on ESPN, I realized Boozer and him were doing a pretty good number on me. And then I saw at the score update at the bottom that Shareef had went quasi nuts with 32 and 14. But hey, Antonio Davis got 5 points and like 2 rebounds in 31 minutes of work. Thats why I pay him the big money.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2004 I gave up on Wally. If he does come back its going to be limited action. Im now in full free fall mode as both Wade and Davis are out and Im losing 6-1.
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2004 Yo! White Tigers! You do know you had two players that were playing benched, right? For Thursday Night action? Just wondering...
Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2004 Looks like my opponent isn't around either, having left Mike Bibby and Drew Gooden on the bench a few times. Not that i'm complaining, as he's in direct competition with me for the final playoff spot.
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2004 Uh... White Tigers. I'd hate to break the bad news to you... But I just handed you an asswhipping. I may be 6-2, but you will NEVER catch me in FGM or PTS. You just got beat BAD. At this rate, I might make the bottom 7-12 playoff spot! WEEE~! GO ME~! Edit: Now if I could just get a centre who could produce, I'd be in business big time. Anyone want to make a deal?
Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2004 I'm dissapointed to see Speedy Claxton picked up, i was hoping he'd stay a free agent for a while longer until the Van Exel situation is cleared so i could pick him back up again, though i guess Arroyo is a decent enough bench player for me. It also appears Eddy Curry might have finally dug his head out of his ass and started performing like he should, breaking 20 points in 4 of the last 5 games, with decent rebounding averages as well. A shame he couldn't do it when he was on my team. Victory looks pretty certain in my matchup, so i'll be moving at least one position closer to the top 6 and the playoffs. Speedy is mine.... Nice to see Kwame Brown finally doing something. 20 and 10 tonight. I've got five people who only play guard, a G/F, one F, and two F/C's. I need to dump a guard into either a G/F or an F.

MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted February 8, 2004 Thanks in part to Dirk droping 40 points, I've closed in to 28 points down and 1 FGM of Team 2000, and I picked up a point in 3's. Hopefully I can pull out the points or FGM and get a 4-4 out of what looked to be a bad week, and pulling them both out would be an extra special bonus (5-3 for me if that happens) And next week sucks because of the All Star Game. Depending on who I pick up for dropping Wade I only have 12 games.
Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted February 8, 2004 One day left, and i can win anywhere from five to all eight stats. I doubt i'll win 3 pointers, but i'm tied in steals and down two in blocks, fortunately Ray Allen (provided he plays, and with my luck he won't) is there to provide the steals, Dalembert the blocks, and Garnett to give me a serving of both. Here's hoping a 7-1 victory is on the cards. Stackhouse continues to perform since returning with 19 points and 11 assists, my team is much better with him around. Arroyo giving me 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists certainly helps me forget giving up Claxton as well.
