Who knew when drafting Peja that I'd be getting the second leading scorer? Guy has gone nuts as of late, although I have a feeling my Brad Miller/Peja drafting won't work out in the long run because of Webber's return. We'll see.

Anyway...I had 3 players to start and didnt start either of them, and I ended up losing the lead in the assist category giving me a 5-3 victory. Back to .500 and 9th place, just about halfway through the leagues regular season.
Cuban Linx Posted January 6, 2004 Report Posted January 6, 2004 I led my matchup the whole way, but end up settling for a 4-4 tie. Still, not too bad considering it was against the 1st place team. And January's the month that Jerry Stackhouse, Dajuan Wagner and Derek Anderson (i think?) should all be back, with Washington sucking, and the Ricky Davis and Bonzi Wells trades opening up convenient starting positions for Wagner and Anderson, all of them should be in a position to put up numbers. But if their return dates (especially Stackhouse's) get pushed back another month AGAIN i think i'm going to scream.

I could've sworn without a shadow of a doubt that I had said more stats be involved but was told: FGM FTM 3PT STL BLK AST REB PTS would be just fine. We had 8 and I can't really say that it's the truth, but theory dictates that seeing how badly some teams are getting creamed, I don't think ONE column is going to make a fucking difference except perhaps in making it a little less embaressing. And yes, fouls are used as in-game strategy, but who knows? Maybe it's like the NHL Leagues, where more PIM you have, the better it gets. I had disincluded % stuff, because I remember the arguement I caused by joking about it. All this aside, let's stop bitching about the stats. The season is continuing on this way, because that's the way it was decided in the beginning. Even if we DID agree on getting a new system in place no one would agree with it (besides, the date to change settings passed on the 2nd of this month). Really, some people made some really pissable choices and that had lead to their downfall. Quite a few did it right at the draft (most notables are myself and probably Gotham) and frankly there isn't much that can be done about it.
