Guest nikowwf Report post Posted October 3, 2003 Well, i can not understand why that show wouldn't do well. Just because they made fun of my favorite wrestler Eddy Guerrero and stuck in him mind melting skits about poop? (Im hispanic too btw, but that didn't bother me either.) Just because they took another of my favorites Benoit and programmed him with someone I hate and even he can't have a decent match with. Just because Vince is wrestling his daughter soon in the creepiest match ever? Just because they won't use Ultimo Dragon, even though the APA and Bashams must be on every week. Im just not feeling why the rating is so low. niko
dubq 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2003 2.9? Wow. Is this the first time that one of the "big" shows has dipped below 3.0 in a while?
BoboBrazil 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2003 So what will they try to bring up ratings? Incest? You know they are going to try something shocking.
AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2003 I joked about it, but I'm not surprised. Go on Vince, hurry up and fill the show with Sportz Entertainment so I can finally tell your whole company to fuck off and die so I can have two more extra hours in my week to do something productive. Damn, American TV viewers are cockfaces. Probably the rest of the normal viewers were watching some shitty sitcom.
BoboBrazil 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2003 Vince won't get rid of the biggest problem in his company, which is Steph as booker. She is going to be the downfall of that company.
DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2003 (edited) The way this news should be good: Vince might realize people are not caring for him or Stephanie being in major angles or wrestling, and No Mercy will be the last big match for either of them in awhile (well, they'll probably still do Vince vs Taker.. but Stephanie stuff would be lessened). It also shows people aren't inerested in Undertaker main eventing. The way this news will be taken by Vince McMahon: Eddie Guerrero storylines shouldn't be show running, thus he should not ever main event. Brock Lesnar is a terrible champion, and Undertaker should go over at No Mercy. People don't like Cena, he shouldn't be in main events. A-Train didn't wrestle, so people tuned out. Edit: In my spin doctoring and defending of all things WWE, I've decided to blame this rating on the Baseball play-offs happening the same night as brand new episodes of Friends, Survivor, CSI, and whatever other popular garbage people watch on Thursday. No one is at fault! Edited October 3, 2003 by DrVenkman
Guest Super Pissed Smark Report post Posted October 3, 2003 I thought diarrhea=ratings? Is there no way we can blame this on RVD?
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2003 I thought diarrhea=ratings? Is there no way we can blame this on RVD? Eddie doing RVD's finisher took away from the US title match gets the only reaction from it. It's totally bullshit, but you asked.
Guest Mulatto Heat Report post Posted October 4, 2003 If Kahran's conversion formula (4.0 RAW = 3.2 SD - essentially 1.25RAW=SD) is correct, then Smackdown still outdrew RAW.
Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2003 If Kahran's conversion formula (4.0 RAW = 3.2 SD - essentially 1.25RAW=SD) is correct, then Smackdown still outdrew RAW. That isn't saying much. It is still a terrible rating.

Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2003 At least SD had a excuse for the ratings being down due to competition, mainly that baseball game. What was RAW's excuse? Oh yeah, JR Vs. Coach
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2003 I don't see how competition should be a problem - either you're putting out a product people want to see or you're not. Baseball is not wrestling. Friends is not wrestling... oh wait... WWE isn't wrestling either... my bad.
AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2003 I don't see how competition should be a problem - either you're putting out a product people want to see or you're not. Baseball is not wrestling. Friends is not wrestling... oh wait... WWE isn't wrestling either... my bad. Vince would agree with you, too. That's the sad part. He'd disagree that there wasn't competition though, because it's all "entertainment" to him.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2003 Yep, and somehow Baseball (worlds most boring sport) and Friends (worlds most suicide-inducing show) are "more entertaining" than what the WWE is putting on... Oh what's that? Shit jokes? You don't say... From Mexican Food? Oh... Vince slamming Steph? I see.. Well, I guess they are.
