haVoc 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2003 Some fans who attended a Limp Bizkit concert in Cicero, IL this past July have filed a lawsuit against the band. The fans claim that they were cheated out of concert-ticket value when Bizkit only performed for 17 minutes. The suit also names 172 concertgoes as plaintiffs who are filing on behalf of the roughly 40,000 people who attended the concert. The suit claims that Bizkit was contracted to play a 90 minute set. The suit wants a $25 refund, 1/3 of the full ticket price, for every person who attended the show. Fred Durst stormed off the stage at the 20 minute mark during the show after he was being booed and started being hailed with water bottles and other garbage. He yelled curse words and other insults at the crowd before leaving. Reports say that the band left the stage after performing a 17 minute set that included Fred Durst cursing the crowd out, bashing gays and throwing a temper tantrum. Creed didn't finish the show because Stapp was drunk off his ass and stoned as fuck...Perfectly acceptable rock reasons but Freddie Left because the fans made sure they let him know he sucks... The mentioning of Metallica coming on sooner (as noted in an earlier reply) confirms this, I believe. Anyways, Chicago crowds are so cool. All the Foxboro crowd did was turn their backs, raise their middle fingers, and call him a faggot. Wait... ...that was just me and some mallfucks around me that wanted to hear "St. Anger" live... On a side note, I absolutely love the Limp Bizkit backlash. Limp Bizkit needs to realize that people didn't get sick of the rap-rock sound, it was just that they stopped writing good songs. And the songs were only tolerable because Wes wrote the music, and Fred stayed the fuck away from the music aspect. Now look: no Wes, and the music sounds like your average nu-metal band. If only Fred could write more lyrics like that, limpbizkit could return to the top of the mountain. Granted, "Nookie" was not a lyrical masterpiece, but it was distinct. It was influential in it's sound. I'm not trying to say it was the best music ever made or that it was my favorites, I'm saying that it was good for what it was. I used to enjoy it, if "Three Dollar Bill Ya'll" and "Significant Other" were to be released today, I don't know if I would enjoy it if I heard it for the first time now.
