Just want to inform you, foozel, but we are currently in the 2019 season, so you might want to bump up that birthdate.

Don't worry, it'll automatically be bumped up for him once we get to 2020.

Due to my ever-decreasing sanity, I thought, why not make the SFBL a bit more like actual baseball, so, list the music you'd like for your player to step up to the plate or take the mound to.

I'll start off, even though Giant Gonzales is gone.

Beck - Loser (Because those guys in the booth are fucking assholes)

Other than that, Latin American stuff. Tito Puente and the like.

It's good to start off things like this very poorly!

Well...

I'd have to say the primary one I'd love Fury to come to the plate to is "Swing, Swing'" by the All-American Rejects.

Otherwise... Linkin Park, Incubus, System of a Down, Prodigy... All sorts like that.

2020 SFBL AMATEUR DRAFT

As the fourth overall pick in the first round, the New Orleans Crunk Machine signed yet another TSM player in "C'est Bon" Andre Chevalier. Chevalier had no time to speak about the connections between New Orleans and France as he immediately surrendered to the general manager as he approached with Andre's jersey. Many of his family members still living in France are looking forward to see him playing for the Machine De Crunk.

Ten picks later, the Glory Holes were up and added "Rocketbuster" Joey Zurn to their stable of TSM players which includes Timothy Marsch and Austin Sly. Many LA women have lined up outside the Draft HQ to see if Joey's packing a Rocketbuster in his pants. No word on how many of them are actually men in drag.

After Zurn was picked, the final TSM rookie sat on a stack of phone books, straining to see a glance of the SFBL Commissioner as each team continued to pass him up. Finally, the long wait for the short man was brought to a close as the Phoenix Ashes selected closer Tiny "Tattoo" Gonzales as the 13th pick in the fifth round. The shortest player in SFBL history might have a short or tall ladder to climb to the majors, depending on his spring training performance. Currently, he's slated to be the closer in AAA, but they may change if he fails to deliver this spring.

Spring Training

It's that time again. For those of you that don't know, Spring Training is the time when any player in the SFBL can improve, if they distribute their points right.

You start with 20 points, divided evenly at the start among four categories.

Batters:

Contact Hitting

Power Hitting

Strike Zone Judgment

Defense

Pitchers:

Pure Stuff

Pitching Velocity

Pitching Control

Stamina

From there, you can take away points from one category and put it in another, as long as you distribute all twenty points by the end of your reorganization. The other option is, of course, to take five points from all four categories (or from one), and put it towards learning a new position. There is no guarantee that you will learn the position, however, so choose how to distribute your points wisely.

I will allow time for people to get their spring training plans in, but the sooner we get ST over, the sooner we can advance to the season itself.

Tempted to just leave it as-is for Nigel, but that's probably not going to help his consistency issues.

I actually had a pretty good season, but that injury just stopped me in my tracks and I couldn't recover for the end of the season.

Hey, I'm only 3 wins from 100 in my career. Not bad for a guy who spent his first 7 years as a middle reliever.
