Guest Anglesault Report post Posted October 20, 2003 Since Matt lost cleanly to an obnoxious cripple that no one actually likes, where does he go? Is he totally ruined? Does the WWE even care? Is this gonna start another monster sized Gowen push? As for Eddy, now that he got the midcard noose off of him, will he move on to Brock and face him for the belt in Dallas? Or will he enter a multi-month midcard feud with kind of over Chavo? And since Angle won, tell me this horrendous Cena feud is over and both guys can move on to SOMETHING decent. I know I'm wrong, but please humor me.
Bored 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2003 Since Matt lost cleanly to an obnoxious cripple that no one actually likes, where does he go? Is he totally ruined? Does the WWE even care? They didn't care about him before so why care now? He'll turn face and go back to being boring probably. Is this gonna start another monster sized Gowen push? Doubt it which makes him winning make even less sense. As for Eddy, now that he got the midcard noose off of him, will he move on to Brock and face him for the belt in Dallas? Or will he enter a multi-month midcard feud with kind of over Chavo? Midcard noose is off? Not likely. He'll feud with Chavo and now won't even get the chance of Chavo being U.S. Champ. Benoit is getting the title shot against Brock but it'll be the #4 in terms of promotion behind Vince/Taker, Shane/Kane, and whatever they do with the Goldberg/HHH match. And since Angle won, tell me this horrendous Cena feud is over and both guys can move on to SOMETHING decent. Nope and Cena will get the win at Survivor Series although I thought he was going to win last night. I know I'm wrong, but please humor me. Whoops sorry...forget everything I said. Guest TripleHater Report post Posted October 20, 2003 Cena getting the win at Survior Series? Yeah maybe he'll win a match but not against angle......
Guest Deviant Report post Posted October 20, 2003 I think Matt will be rewarded in the future for putting Gowen over, perhaps with a US title run. But that's after a face beats Show. I think it says a lot about the character of Matt that he's willing to do that for Zach when many others wouldn't. Gowen will probably get more TV matches, most likely some wins of Shannon Moore and such, but I'm not seeing anything huge. Then again, I'm inclined to fear a Big Show-Gowen match... Eddie will indeed drop down lower on the card and face Chavo, which just isn't right. They've planted all the seeds for it, and I don't see an AMW-like bait and switch. I don't know about Cena and Angle, they're probably done, but where do they go from here?

Nope and Cena will get the win at Survivor Series although I thought he was going to win last night. So, this awful feud will continue so Angle can be the only guy of any worth to lose to Cena in a match that doesn't even help Cena. No one is helped, and this feud gets thrown in the "disaster" bin. About right.
AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2003 "Nope and Cena will get the win at Survivor Series although I thought he was going to win last night." I thought that when a heel wins, the feud continues, but when a face wins then teh feud is over? Exceptions of course exist, like Trips, but in general... Bored 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2003 Well look at it this way. If they are committed to doing the Eddy/Chavo feud that leaves only Big Show for either Angle or Cena if they don't continue their feud. Could make sense for Cena if they turn him face but Angle shouldn't be fighting for the U.S. Title. This also hinges on them definently going with Lesnar/Benoit for the title. HollywoodSpikeJenkins 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2003 After last night, Cena is about as close to a face as he can get.

Guest JericholicEdgeHead Report post Posted October 20, 2003 "the "disaster" bin" That pretty much sums up the WWE today and the direction they are heading.
Kurt Angle Mark 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2003 According to Dave Scherer there will be a rematch between Angle and Cena at Survivor Series. I for one see Cena going over clean at SS, thus winning Angle's respect. The two then share a handshake after the match turning Cena into a babyface without having to turn Angle heel, which leads to the Angle/Cena team Kurt hinted at. Guest Polish_Rifle Report post Posted October 21, 2003 I see Matt Hardy jumping to Raw to be with Lita (or on the same show at least). This may be what he had to do in order to be allowed to move to Raw. At least that's how I'm trying to rationalize this whole J-O-B to Zach Gowen.

Great, so he'll be totally buried within a month on the HHHappiest two hours of Monday tv.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted October 21, 2003 Last night Cena, a midcard heel, outpopped the number 1 face on SmackDown. I mean, workrate doesn't even come into the picture, his character has warranted a push, the fans have demanded it. I'd have the feud get MEAN. Have Angle come out next week, say he wants to get back in the title hunt after beating Cena, and have Cena jump Angle and send him off on a stretcher. Build heat the old-fashioned way, and have Kurt job at SS in a gimmick match at SS.

We call that the "Bret Hart syndrome". Who else would feud with an evil pirate, evil dentist, and evil japanese ninja inside 3 months in 1 year?

UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2003 I'm happy Angle is feuding with Cena. Don't get me wrong, Angle's wrestling talent is still top-notch, but ever since July he's been a lifeless, pathetic, once really over, boring shell of an onscreen character. If Angle had half of the charisma Cena has now, he'd be, well...half as fun to watch.

UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2003 Angle should be thanking his stars that he is working with Cena. He doesn't need Cena for the match quality, obviously...but after MONTHS of working with The Big Slug and Lesnar (who has talent, but again, the charisma aint there), Angle has been watered down to a german suplex throwing 80's babyface. "I'm gonna beat you up, Brock! Whooo!" Boring. Cena, while not yet a solid main eventer (but a few months'll change that), has a fresh gimmick, and decent enough workrate that he'll actually elevate Angle from a no-character great worker to either a funny-retaliating great worker, or HOPEFULLY, a heel that gets bested by a wisecracking fresh-face Cena. And no, by wisecracking, I don't mean "Cena writes Waynes World signs" ala Edge to piss off Angle. Angle needs Cena, baby.
