NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2003 I am not sure how many of you have a Frys near you, but whenever I go to Frys I always get what I come for and then on the way to the register there is a mix of a small amount from every deparment for ridiculously cheap prices flashed before your very eyes, in the pathway to the register. I have resisted picking any of it up, due to me mostly not needing any of it, but hey do I really need more dvds either? hahaha.......Anways does anyone here take advantage of these low prices, or have you had a bad experience by buying one of these things and it turning out to be total junk? kkktookmybabyaway 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2003 Fry's is evil and I will never do business with them ever again (One of the many stores, which includes places like Compaq/HP and Dillman's, I am boycotting). But that's just me...
Sandman9000 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2003 Never been to Fry's, or even heard of it, but occasionally you can find something good while in line. At a Border's to buy something, I saw Jackie Chan's autobiography (ghostwritten, of course), hardcover, for three bucks. I thought to myself, "I can afford three dollars!" And it was good. kkktookmybabyaway 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2003 Oops. I meant Fye -- not sure if that's what you meant or another store. Anyway, the Fye's around here used to be known as Camelot Music, of which I was a loyal customer during my youth. They had this program where buy XX amount of CD's/tapes, get one free. I had my latest card filled out and found out they were undergoing a name change. I asked the manager if Fye will accept this card when they switch names -- he said yes. Well, I came back and the SAME MANAGER said they weren't accepting them anymore. F 'em I say. Not one of my better boycott stories, but oh well. Surprised at your Bob Evans experience Choken, they have always been good to me...

They're called impulse items for a reason. Don't buy it unless you really need it. Fry's is an electronics store that also runs Outpost.com (or is it the other way around?), but it seems more like an Ikea than a Best Buy. If you're looking for MMA DVDs, this place is for you. My gripe with FYE is that the stores buy us used to be called the Wall, and they had a lifetime guarantee on stuff you would buy there...you just put the sticker on our movie/cd/tape case, and could bring it back if there was a problem and they would replace it for you free of charge... When they changed over to FYE (same exact store/employees mind you...just different sign on the front) because a CD i had purchased there was skipping they said they wouldn't honor it because it was for the lifetime of the store, not the item. WTF? I used to shop their a lot, but now I don't. I will get some stuff from there webpage, so I guess it's a partial boycot.
