Thanks for the love of the quote. If you don't have The Black Album yet get it. Lyrically it is probably his strongest album since Reasonable Doubt.

As far as the trade goes if Ricky has his head on straight it is a good trade. However, Ricky has not been that unselfish. He goes from game to game either taking a shot every time he gets the ball, or never shooting at all. It is almost like he is playing games with the coaches. However I do like the trade for Clevland even if Davis changes by some miracle. Like I said honestly they had to many players who were long and athletic. By trading Davis it makes room in the lineup for Wagner who is going to be a better player than Ricky if he can ever stay healthy. Wagner and James will be one of the best backcourts in the league in two years. It allows them to have consistent minutes for Miles, give Bozer a decent backup at forward, and still have goo role players in Batie, Newble, and Williams. This could be a very good trade for both teams, but honestly I would rather have Antione Walker over Ricky Davis any day of the week.

I was at the Celts/Mavs game last night. I needed a frigging program to see who the players were. the Celtics players. I think Toine needed one to, as seemingly 95% of the team is different from when he last was here.

Great game though.

I was also at the Celtics-Mavs, fucking great game and great back by my boys. I got tickets to the Celtics-Wizards before the game, I'm going to see the great Kwame Brown and you guys aren't!

The Bulls and Jay Williams are neogoiating (sp?) a buyout for his contract, so they can open up a roster spot. When Jay ready to play they'll be able get first crack to sign him.

But with Jamal Crawford becoming a low-level star and Kirk Hinrich getting used to the pro game...will they even want to sign Jay Williams? If not, I wonder which teams could use a point guard even though he comes with an Alonzo Mourning-type "could give you 80 games or 10 games" risk? And remember, it's not like Jay was tearing it up in the League when he was healthy. Seattle? Atlanta? Boston? Cleveland? New York? Orlando? Portland?

The Clippers have won 5 of their last 6 games and thusfar have an amazing record of 11-12 despite playing 13 games without their All-Star Elton Brand. Rookie Chris Kamen has been very impressive and is making teh Clips look even smarter for not resigning Cancerman (Olowakandi). Its funny how people are not talking about how the Clips let a bunch of their players go this past summer including Sean Rooks, Eric Piatkowski and Cherokee Parks. Even the lost of Odom & Miller are not metioned due to the depth the team has and evidently no one else knew about. Marko Jaric and Doug Overton are playing well in place of Andre Miller, who was a bust last season. Maggette is putting up All-Star numbers in place of Odom at SF and Quentin Richardson is showing that he is a force to be reckoned with.

I am looking forward to the biggest game of the year this Tuesday, when the 2 hottest teams in the NBA and North America for that matter. battle it out in San Antonio. The Spurs will put their 10 game winning streak on the line against the Clip Ship who are sailing high through the first quarter of the season.

There is only one team in CA that people pay attention to and that is the Lakers.

Look at Kyle Korver dropping 18 points on Boston, including 5/5 from 3-point range. 76ers still lost, though. Korver's been knocking down his 3's.

You just know, though, that if Larry Brown was still coaching Philly, Korver would never get off the bench.

Notice he said hottest team. I'd give the edge to the Wolves right know.

Speaking of the Wolves. They've finally started to play well. Their scoring points, and have Troy Hudson, and Mark Madsen back. Wally and Olawakandi should be back in about 6 to 8 weeks. Hopefully in time for the postseason.

Does anyone see someone other, than the Lakers, Kings, Spurs, Wolves, and Mavericks making a run at the Top 5 spots in the Western Conference?

Utah, Denver, Houston will get the bottom 3 spots.

Tony Parker had 14 assist a career high tonight, and in the late 90's David Robinson earned the scoring title in a game vs the Clippers when he scored 80+ points. Face it the Clippers is the team to play when a player needs to pad his stats.

Definitely. If Utah gets to the playoffs, Jerry Sloan deserves coach of the year. The Western Conference playoffs are going to be great this season.

So if Detroit had picked Carmelo, would Brown sit him too? What if they lucked out and got LeBron?

Not play him. He'd never know how good he was if he never saw him play. Than when he does give him quality minutes by the end of this year, or next season. Brown, can tell everyone he's the reason James is so good.

I get the feeling that if LeBron wasn't around, the Yao-Shaq matchup would be a lot more hyped. Yao is like the NBA's forgotten man now.

Well Larry Brown needs to fucking play Darko if he wants the kid to develop. I mean Darko is really young, he's two months younger than me and im still 4 months away from my 19th birthday. The kid won't get any confidence by riding the bench. In essence, Larry Brown is doing the exact same thing that was one of the reasons why rick carlise was fired. He isn't playing the younger players enough. Darko should get about 12 minutes a game just to get game experience. The Pistons will be a playoff team, so why not give the kid some garbage time to develop his skills and become a player. Because the general consensus around Detroit is that management made a huge mistake in not drafting Carmelo Anthony with the #2 pick, and even if Darko pans out in 3 years to become a 17 points and 10 rebounds type of player, I still think that the Pistons will be thinking what if when Carmelo is on the All-NBA first team and a perenial MVP candidate

I could tell as soon as Moochie hit those two 3's in 4th to make 86-79, the Lakers was going give up the game. Overall, both the ABC games were pretty good, is Tom Tolbert gay or attracted to Shaq? This is 2nd time i've heard him mentioned that Shaq and how he gets aroused.

I noticed his lovefest towards Shaq. I also think that ABC (and ESPN's) NBA coverage this season is much better than last year.

I'm just glad they put Bill Walton on the East Coast beat so he doesn't end up covering any of his son's games. But what about when the Finals come around? Does Bill get left out of the booth?
