The 76ers beat their opponents by puting them to sleep using the most boring brand of basketball ever.

they couldn't play up-tempo basketball even if AI was in there because of his knees. They're a half court offense.

Does any team in the East try to score points?

Before the last Celtics trade they had a string of 5 games where they were averaging 114 points.

Watching the Spurs play isn't exactly better than sex, either.

That 73-9 record ain't lookin too good for the Lakers right now....

They're 21-9 now after losing back to back games to the Sonics and Clippers, and have dropped behind Sacramento in the division.

Can the Lakers rebound to win their last 52? TUNE IN TO FIND OUT!

Looks like Manu Ginobili will be in the Injury List as of today. Now the next few games will be nothing but boring defense and low scoring games in the 80s. Can the Nuggets team of Melo, Nene, Lenard bring the excitement or will it be nothing but airball and miss Free Throws in the game vs the Spurs. I think its gonna take Turkaglu and Bowen to get on fire shooting 3s to win the game. Or maybe Hart will try to do what Speedy did last year and make Parker fear for his spot again.

If you play for the Pistons you're allowed to dribble the ball, stop, and then dribble the ball again. You're also allowed to push people out of bounds in order to get the ball back.

Least that's what I gather from watching this game right now

Pacers dominate the second half and win in Miami, making it five in a row. Orlando is tonight, so we *should* have great momentum with six straight going into Dallas and San Antonio starting Friday. Orlando did beat us on our home floor last month though, so I'm not taking anything for granted.

Vin Baker suspended 3 games by the Celts for not complying with his Alcoholics program...I don't know if that means he just skipped a meeting of AA or if he went and got drunk but his play has been really sloppy as of late...here's hoping his demons didn't catch up to him again.

I did see that actually, Maggette walking right into a straight punch is good times. STUPID move by Martin though, his team was up 20 something at that point in the 3rd, game was over and now he's gonna get suspended multiple games just as his team is starting to play well.

Then again, I firmly believe that if you give Jason Kidd anyone who can jump high and finish, his team will win because Kidd will get them 16 points a game by himself.

Lakers lose to the Nuggets by double digit margin while earlier in the week the Spurs destroyed the Nuggets by a 22 point margin!

Are the Lakers still going to get 65 wins?

One of the local sports radio hosts out here is pushing this "Ray Allen is among the Top 5 to 7 best players in the NBA" campaign. He puts him below Shaq, Duncan, T-Mac, Garnett and Kobe; but ahead of Iverson, Kidd, Pierce, Dirk and whoever else makes up that next level.

In the 30-or-so games Ray has played with Seattle, he's averaging 24 points, around 5 boards and around 5 assists, and the team is 24-13 or something like that.

Personally, I think Allen is very good, but he's not even Top 10 as far as best players in the NBA. Agree or disagree?

Yeah, to put him above Jason Kidd alone is pretty insane. Kidd is seemingly getting better still, it's not just almost a triple double every night now, it seems to be a 30 point 13 assist 10 board triple double. A bah Jesus Manly Triple Double. Or something.

Ray is a damn fine player but nah, it'd probably be hard to get him even in the top 20.

What is the big deal about Kobe getting booed on the road? He would have been booed on the road even if he wasn't being charged with a crime, because...get this...HE PLAYS FOR THE OTHER TEAM. On top of that, the "other team" is the Lakers, who are the NBA's version of the Yankees, as in the team everyone loves to hate. Plus, Kobe just has that cocky aura around him that a lot of people don't like (witness his hometown Philly fans booing him at the All-Star Game a few years ago). I've been to one NBA game this year: New Jersey at Seattle, and guess what? Jason Kidd and Kenyon Martin got booed by the Seattle fans. Ya know why? Because they are the star players for the other team. Now I understand tonight in Denver was different, as Kobe was reportedly booed everytime he got the ball. But I'm sick of ESPN showing Kobe getting booed during introductions, as if he wasn't getting booed during introductions in 2002, 2001, 2000 and so on.

And as far as Ray Allen being in the top tier of NBA players, I'd rank them like this:

(EDIT: I forgot Dirk the first time I posted this)

1. Garnett

2. Duncan

3. Shaq

4. Kobe

5. T-Mac

6. Iverson

7. Kidd

8. Dirk Nowitski

9. Paul Pierce

10. Stephon Marbury

11. Jermaine O'Neal

12. Baron Davis

13. Vince Carter

14. Ray Allen

15. LeBron

16. Gary Payton

17. Steve Nash

18. Ben Wallace

19. Bibby

20. Webber

21. Peja

22. Elton Brand

23. Artest

24. Shawn Marion

25. Carmelo

26. Sprewell

27. Steve Francis

28. Antoine Walker

29. Rasheed

30. Yao Ming

I think Payton 15th is too high. Nash, Brando, Peja, and Francis I'd rank higher.

Oh, and where's the love for Zach Randolph? He's averaging 22.8 ppg, 11.7 rpg, .491 FG%

The numbers are better than Rasheed Wallace's.

Latrell Sprewell is vastly overrated. I don't think he belongs in the top 30. Shawn Marion probably belongs higher on that list. Tracy McGrady is clearly better than Kobe Bryant. Karl Malone probably should make the bottom 10 at least. And Michael Redd deserves some consideration.
