Spicy McHaggis Posted October 27, 2003 Report Posted October 27, 2003 It's time to get pumped! Who's ready for some more death-defying Jack Bauer badassitude? We're less than 2 days away!
Dr. Tyler; Captain America Posted October 27, 2003 Report Posted October 27, 2003 Freakin' HYPED about this. I haven't actually watched any of the series on free TV (I bought the DVDs for both seasons), so I'm not sure how I'm gonna manage waiting a week inbetween episodes. However, having loved both seasons so far, I can't wait until Tuesday.
Guest Dmann2000 Posted October 27, 2003 Report Posted October 27, 2003 The following takes place between 9PM and 10PM...
El Gigante Posted October 27, 2003 Report Posted October 27, 2003 Oh man, I can't wait! Only a day left until season 3 starts and Iam pumped, cant wait to see Jack kick some more ass as only Jack Bauer can.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 27, 2003 Report Posted October 27, 2003 coughUh..buried back a few pages..cough
BlackFlagg Posted October 27, 2003 Report Posted October 27, 2003 27:39:00 till season 3 Wish I could do a ticking clock animation, heh. Watched both season 1 & 2 in the last week to get ready.
Guest EQ Posted October 27, 2003 Report Posted October 27, 2003 I wish I could just buy the season 3 DVD set RIGHT NOW. I don't know if I can take another season of waiting week after week and then putting up with FOX's horrible month-long breaks between episodes
BlackFlagg Posted October 27, 2003 Report Posted October 27, 2003 I wish I could just buy the season 3 DVD set RIGHT NOW. I don't know if I can take another season of waiting week after week and then putting up with FOX's horrible month-long breaks between episodes Ugh, that was the worst...especially when they gave us one episode after being off for three weeks then went off for another month, talk about a tease, geeze.
Guest drdrainoscott Posted October 28, 2003 Report Posted October 28, 2003 does anyone else find themselves shouting out "Kiefer" at random times due to 24 withdrawl? anyone.... anyone...
El Gigante Posted October 28, 2003 Report Posted October 28, 2003 Definately. I find myself quoting Jack Bauer more times than I would like to admit in one day.
BlackFlagg Posted October 28, 2003 Report Posted October 28, 2003 yeah, will probably watch a few Kiefer flicks tonight to help the time pass till tomorrow
the max Posted October 28, 2003 Report Posted October 28, 2003 Hmm...Phone Booth sounds like a good deal tomorrow morning.

The long breaks are necessary for the shows writers. Sutherland himself, said that during an interview last year.
packwingfn Posted October 28, 2003 Report Posted October 28, 2003 Dont forget Kiefer on Letterman tonight if you need all your kiefer fix.
El Gigante Posted October 28, 2003 Report Posted October 28, 2003 I totally forgot about that and now you reminded me. Thank you.
OldSchoolWrestling Posted October 28, 2003 Report Posted October 28, 2003 Last week on Karen Sisco, they had Xander Berkeley playing some guy who was in witness protection. At the end of the show he goes home to his family, and his wife is played by Sarah Clarke, who also happens to be his real life wife. It was a weird 24 moment.
OldSchoolWrestling Posted October 28, 2003 Report Posted October 28, 2003 who does Xander Berkeley play on 24? The great George Mason, God rest his soul.
Spicy McHaggis Posted October 28, 2003 Author Report Posted October 28, 2003 Tonight, baby! 9:00 ET/PT
Lord of The Curry Posted October 28, 2003 Report Posted October 28, 2003 Thanks to Dennis Haysbert I find myself saying "Because I'm the fucking President" when people ask me why I do what I do.
Guest T®ITEC Posted October 28, 2003 Report Posted October 28, 2003 Is tonight's episode going to be on again later in the week? I, uh, actually have other stuff to do tonight. CURSES~
Guest MD2020 Posted October 28, 2003 Report Posted October 28, 2003 Last year, FX would show the previous episode on Monday. So, you'd could watch Episode 3 on Monday, and then the next day would be Episode Four. Not sure if they're doing that again, but I guess that they would.
BlackFlagg Posted October 28, 2003 Report Posted October 28, 2003 *looks at clock and watches it morph into a 24 style count* only 4 and a half hours to go~!
OldSchoolWrestling Posted October 28, 2003 Report Posted October 28, 2003 *looks at clock and watches it morph into a 24 style count* only 4 and a half hours to go~! I live in California. 7.5 more loooong hours.

BlackFlagg Posted October 28, 2003 Report Posted October 28, 2003 2 and a half for the East coast... wooo! 3 and a half, it's on at 9
Dr. Tyler; Captain America Posted October 28, 2003 Report Posted October 28, 2003 STFU you're ruining my dreams I forgot to change the clock I was looking at five minutes ago... *sigh* I guess I missed class.

They have to do a majority of the writing before filming. There's too much going on at one time to write the show on the fly. Then you toss in the 24 hour time period gimmick, which would make it even harder to do it on the fly. If the writers truly do write a majority of the show on the fly, I have alot of respect for them.
